The best restaurantsof irish in Cork city council

08/11/2025: I'm Italian. Been living in Ireland for 9 years and everytime i wanted to eat Italian i had to do it myself. This is the first time i had authentic Italian food! The Pasta and risotto are amazing and well made! The antipasto is amazing, feels like a little piece of Italy in Ireland. I will be back for more!

02/11/2025: I'm an Italian girl who's been living in Cork for a couple of months. After a long time, I was craving some real Italian food, and this restaurant made me feel right at home. The food was delicious, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the place was wonderful. Congratulations, I'll be back often!

14/12/2025: Consistently one of the best places to eat in Cork. Whether it's a girls night out or a family occasion, some of our best memories have been celebrated in Ecos. The service is excellent and the food always amazing. They have an extensive menu which would usually make you feel things are prepared in advance. Everything comes out piping hot and clearly fresh, prices very reasonable too with good portions. You can never go wrong with a meal in Ecos but make sure to book in advance!

23/11/2025: Chicken wings and steak fillet was amazing, really tasty, fresh and meat was medium rare came as expected. Hadn't visit Eco for quiet long time but food still keep.standard. The only improvement that I would suggest is to not serv8ng frozen beer glasses when outside is so cold and salad could be a bit more better than bistro salad with vinegar.

07/12/2025: At €7.40 for a pint of Heineken it's a disgrace a pub in Cork is selling a pint at this price. Tourist beware. Just because it is the only surviving pub on the main City Centre street and has a few outdoor chairs. Also notable that it is a historic building. That is no excuse for serving a pint in Cork City at that price. Especially with the reductions to the vinters this year. That is just blatant price gouging. Located on St Patrick's Street. Took my business else where and got less expensive. Two pints here is more then the average person makes from an hours wage. Disgraceful.

08/12/2025: Our little troupe of geriatric walkers booked our Christmas night out in "Deep South" and from the first contact to the last we were met with outstanding hospitality and real appreciation for the custom. As the organiser, I have to give a special mention to Alannah who was absolutely superb and for whom no detail was too small, even though we were only a group of 13 and there were some big company nights on as well. We were also asked if anyone had any special dietary requirements. As a party venue I would highly recommend "Deep South" and, whoever is organising next year's gig, I imagine there will be no complaints if we return for the next instalment.

30/11/2025: Really disappointed with my recent stay at the hotel. My partner and I stayed there along with some of his family over the weekend (we had three rooms in total), and for the money we paid, the service was appalling. We rang ahead to book dinner and were asked whether we would prefer to eat in the bar or the restaurant. It was explained that these were in the same area, but that the bar offered a more relaxed dining setting. We chose the bar under these pretences, but when we arrived for dinner we were told that the bar did not have a proper seating area and that we would have to sit at a low table with a mix of stools and armchairs in the corner. We were extremely disappointed, but it didn’t end there. We were then told there were different menus for the restaurant and the bar (something we were never informed of when booking), and the bar menu was extremely limited. It took about 30–40 minutes for our order to be taken, and then the same amount of time again for the food to arrive. Other small issues occurred throughout dinner, such as water being brought to the table with no glasses, and parts of our food order coming out wrong. As it had taken so long to arrive, we didn’t bother sending it back. Because the bar area was not part of the restaurant as we had originally been told, no one ever came down to take drink orders or check on us, which meant we constantly had to go up to the bar ourselves. When we asked for the bill, we were left waiting again, and after asking twice, we eventually just went up to the bar to pay. We voiced our concerns during dinner and all we were offered was an apology. We then headed down to the Glasshouse cocktail bar, which was equally disappointing. Our drink orders were taken straight away, but once again it took over 30 minutes for the drinks to arrive, so we left after just one drink. We shared our concerns again at checkout and even spoke to a manager, who said all they could offer was an apology. We left extremely dissatisfied, as the hotel itself is beautiful, but sadly the service does not match the price point.

27/11/2025: Absolutely loved our stay in the woodlands suites. Food, location, and spa were amazing. The hospitality was unmatched. Will be back for sure.

04/09/2025: Very comfortable and well-maintained rooms. Breakfast is served in the neighboring restaurant and includes a buffet and a selection of hot dishes from the à la carte menu (included). The breakfast is very generous, but the quality of the ingredients could be improved: the avocado toast is really not good, the omelet is super greasy, etc. Perhaps it would be ideal to have fewer choices (8 or 9 à la carte dishes) but better quality.

21/07/2025: El almuerzo aquí fue mixto. La sopa de mariscos con pan integral era excelente, pero la pizza pepperoni era decepcionante... .. corteza empapada y todo. La talla de carne asada era bueno, pero lado acompañante eran sosos.

13/11/2025: The worst fish and chips I had in Cork. Just big slice of fish, no lemon, black pepper, some parts too thick. Overal tasteless experience.

02/11/2025: Best food and service. The portions are also filling 👌.

30/11/2025: High handed bouncers with an overbloated ego. They injured me without provocation but I will definitely get justice.

08/10/2024: Favorite chip shop of mine over more than a decade of visiting Cork on occasion. With that said my last visit a few weeks ago ended up with them giving me the wrong order that I did not realize was the case until long away from the shop. Chicken supper instead of the Cod Supper that I ordered. It was still good but it sad that I didn't get one last Cod Supper before they shut down for good this past weekend.
