26/02/2026: Loved it! The hotel has a lovely vibe with lots of areas to sit and enjoy your coffee. Newly renovated room with comfortable beds. The shower was fantastic with really good water pressure. Would definitely stay again.

31/03/2026: Just had a wonderful break at the Montenotte, room was very comfortable and everything needed was available. Breakfast in the panorama lounge was delicious with beautiful views of the city. Drinks in the night overlooking the lights of Cork is wonderful. Staff are very attentive and friendly. The short walk downhill is easy to access the city and it's a very short uphill taxi back. We'll certainly return

25/03/2026: Off busy narrow street, so have a good navigation so you don't miss the entry like we did, as it was a bear to get back here. Otherwise, this has been the best hotel we have stayed while in Ireland so far. The staff and hotels attention to details are top notch. You should not be disappointed!

08/04/2026: It's ashame this pub is closing tonight because it is one of the nicest pubs in Cork City the food i had was perfect Heineken zero beautiful. Ok the service wasn't the best tonight but i guess that was to be expected with staff loosing there jobs. The pub was busy they were short staff. I really hope someone buys this pub. It has serious potential. Anytime i walked past this place it was busy it just needs to new ownership and management train new staff the food is perfect.

15/03/2026: We made a reservation one week in advance for 10 people to celebrate a baby’s birthday. On the phone we clearly explained that everyone would be eating, ordering drinks and that we would bring a cake. When we arrived, we were given a tiny high bar table with bar stools, which is completely unsuitable for a group of 10 people. One of our friends is pregnant, and we also had two babies with us, yet this was the table we were offered. The worst part was the extremely disrespectful attitude of the staff member named Edward, who told us that we were “lucky to have found a place.” Speaking to customers like this — especially those who booked a week in advance — is unacceptable. The experience was so unpleasant that we left without ordering anything. The entire group felt embarrassed and disrespected. We strongly do not recommend this place.

15/03/2026: I made a reservation one week in advance to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and clearly informed the restaurant that we would be 8 adults and 2 toddlers. Despite this, when we arrived we were given a very uncomfortable table with chairs that didn’t even have backs. I had also mentioned that we would need baby chairs for the toddlers, but we were told there was only one available. There wasn’t even a proper seat for a baby who is not yet two years old. Expecting a toddler to sit on a backless chair was very surprising and disappointing. Since it was my daughter’s birthday celebration, we had several bags and items with us, but the table space was so limited that everything had to stay on the floor. When I explained that I had called a week in advance specifically for this occasion and had invited our guests based on their confirmation, the staff member responded in a dismissive way and said something like, “It’s Mother’s Day, you should be happy you found anything.” The reason I booked a week in advance was exactly because it was Mother’s Day. What was also disappointing was the way the situation was handled. When I asked if another table could be arranged later, the staff member immediately said “no” without trying to offer any alternative. We are not first-time visitors and have had dinner here many times before, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, on my daughter’s birthday — a very special day for our family — we had a negative experience in front of our guests. The staff member named Edward could improve his communication with customers, as the interaction felt unfriendly and unhelpful, which was unexpected from a place we have visited many times before.

28/03/2026: Five stars isn't enough!!! I'm Italian. I was passing through Cork and happened upon Marcello's. I felt at home!!! A true piece of Italy in Ireland. Delicious pizza, welcoming place, relaxing atmosphere, even finding parking was easy. The quality of the ingredients is truly excellent, and the pizza dough is exceptional! The owner, Marcello, is a very kind person. If you're looking for a traditional Italian pizza, you're definitely in the right place!!! A word of Italian.

22/03/2026: Found this place on a Google search while looking for somewhere nearby to take my Italian partner for a meal. She places a high importance on high quality, fresh, homemade style Italian cooking. It's safe to say that Marcello's did not disappoint. From the extensive vegetarian/vegan options to the comfortable and friendly setting, they couldn't have done better. The cannelloni and ravioli were fantastic, the tomato soup was fantastic and flavourful and the tiramisu was some of the best we've ever had. Could not possibly recommend enough.

21/12/2025: One of my favourite pubs in the city! The beer garden is huge and such a vibe during the summer. Wide selection of drink. The (I think) Australian bouncer is so lovely and funny!!

08/12/2025: Our little troupe of geriatric walkers booked our Christmas night out in "Deep South" and from the first contact to the last we were met with outstanding hospitality and real appreciation for the custom. As the organiser, I have to give a special mention to Alannah who was absolutely superb and for whom no detail was too small, even though we were only a group of 13 and there were some big company nights on as well. We were also asked if anyone had any special dietary requirements. As a party venue I would highly recommend "Deep South" and, whoever is organising next year's gig, I imagine there will be no complaints if we return for the next instalment.

14/03/2026: Food was lovely, as was service. I got the burger, which was hella charred, which I guess is the point. Left full of food, very good

16/02/2026: The service & atmosphere: really good! but the food is on par what most people would cook at home themselves, which certainly does not justify €20+ price tag per main course. €7.50 for a pint of beer is shockingly disappointing also We had a pleasant experience, but won’t be back. Wasn’t high enough quality to deserve our hard earned money with the prices being charged.

03/02/2026: There are some vacancies. The hot chocolate and cappuccino are good quality. The espresso is bitter, perhaps over-roasted. Overall, it's a good place to relax and grab a bite. Prices are average for the area.

02/02/2026: We ordered four different sandwiches and they were all so delicious. The Chai Latte and Cappuccino were great too. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans 😇

14/02/2026: Shocking experience once again , as per as a family who recently moved into the area and would love to make this pub a local for food and drink we tried it again and told that we couldn't have a drink as the bar was for food , while a bar was half empty and staff tripping over each other engaged in conversation at the bar in our past experience we were send to the residents lounge and told by the bar manger in there he was reserving tables for the locals and how long would we be there , we have family that drink there and highly recommend the place but I can say from trying over and over again and ending up in disappointment every time and rude management I look forward to the Wilton bar being renovated and walking place this establishment. Disgrace

11/02/2026: A great bar where the staff and locals are extremely friendly. A great atmosphere with some brilliant characters. And if you're into horse racing or football, there are various screens without the volume too loud.
