08/10/2024: Favorite chip shop of mine over more than a decade of visiting Cork on occasion. With that said my last visit a few weeks ago ended up with them giving me the wrong order that I did not realize was the case until long away from the shop. Chicken supper instead of the Cod Supper that I ordered. It was still good but it sad that I didn't get one last Cod Supper before they shut down for good this past weekend.

11/02/2025: Visitamos este establecimiento el viernes 7 de febrero alrededor de las 6. 30 pm en camino para comer algo. Estaba absolutamente horrorizado en el lugar. Bebidas lanzadas a personas a precios totalmente desorbitados 12 . 50 E para una copa o vino normal. Servido podría añadir en una pequeña jarra dando una ilusión óptica de ser más que un vaso. Créeme, era un vaso desnudo. Mi amigo estaba teniendo una botella de luz Coors que tienen la osadía de cargar 6. 20 E. Todo el mundo tiene que obtener beneficios, pero hay márgenes y márgenes. Evite este establecimiento de estafa a toda costa. Ningún valor o cerca del valor aquí. ¡Qué asco cobrar precios tan exorbitantes por un lugar de mala calidad!

03/03/2025: Obviously understaffed as we waited 40 minutes from clearing starter to being served main courses. Couldn't fault the Wait staff as they were very apologetic and obviously run off their feet. Colcannon stated on menu but arrived with unseasoned mashed potato. I wouldn't wait any longer for it to be corrected. Overall understaffed, underwhelming and overrated

15/03/2025: I don't know what happened to this place. It used to be one of the best place where to go, drink and eat in Cork. Now, beer that tastes like it was in tubes for a week and cost €7.8! (normal Madri beer, the No. 7 was out) Changed menu - food is ok. Won't amaze you any longer but won't hurt you.. Service is good, obviously these issues are not with the floor staff, they do their best with what's given to them. The cost of having beer out is seriously getting out of hands. To all pub owners out there.. stop winging about not people coming in when you sell beers for €5+..

02/03/2025: Only reason this gets a 4 star if the burger we had that's it. This place is a massive surprise, outside you wouldn't think it was this cool and nice. I would recommend 100%.

26/02/2025: We had dinner here two times. Both times the food was excellent. On the first evening there was hardly anyone there, but the second time the place was packed. Quite a different experience but the service was great both nights. Without having to ask, water is served which is a nice plus. The burgers were amazing (chicken, blue cheese and bodega). Because the stew was not available, they had chicken supreme. This was a very tasty dish that deserves a permanent place on the menu :-)

01/03/2025: El hermoso restaurante en el Montenotte Hotel en Cork es mi restaurante favorito en cualquier lugar de Irlanda. La comida es siempre de primera calidad y el personal muy profesional. Hay una vista panorámica del puerto de Cork y los hermosos jardines victorianos debajo de los cuales todo se suma al disfrute de la comida en este magnífico restaurante. En mi reciente visita me trataron como una reina. Rohan, el chef vegano muy talentoso, me creaba platos fantásticos cada noche que eran una delicia para comer. Él y el resto del personal de catering me mimaron mientras estaba allí. Muchas gracias a todos. Muchas gracias también a Ken, el conserje muy acogedor, que amablemente me acompañó a mi mesa. Una experiencia fantástica de principio a fin.

19/02/2025: Great hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The front desk service and doorman were super friendly and very helpful. The restaurant had delicious food and drinks with great views out the balcony.

13/01/2025: "Disappointing Experience – Bland Food, Overpriced, and Poor Service" We visited this restaurant with high hopes for a nice family meal, but unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. There were four of us, and we ordered a variety of dishes to get a good sense of what the menu had to offer. We started with the Goat's Cheese Mousse Salad, Pâté, Arancini Balls, and Chicken Salad. All were incredibly plain, overpriced, and lacked any real flavour. For starters, these dishes could have been served at any budget restaurant, but here they were marked up far beyond what they were worth. For the main course, we went with the Duck (€40), Lamb (€40), and Dover Sole. The Duck was dry, bland, and came with just a few baby carrots and flavorless potatoes. The Lamb was overcooked and equally tasteless. The Dover Sole was completely dry and lacked any seasoning or richness. What really left us feeling deceived, however, was the price. We would have been disappointed with the food even at a lower price point, but when you’re paying €100 per person, it’s simply not acceptable. To make matters worse, the service was lacking—staff didn’t even bother to serve our wine, and our Calypso Coffee arrived cold. The only redeeming feature of the evening was the Margarita cocktail, which was actually quite nice. We will definitely not be returning. When you're paying premium prices, you expect premium food and service, and this restaurant failed to deliver on both.

13/01/2025: Experiencia Decepcionante – Comida Sosa, Sobreprecio y Mal Servicio" Visitamos este restaurante con grandes esperanzas de una buena comida familiar, pero por desgracia, no estuvo a la altura de las expectativas. Éramos cuatro, y pedimos una variedad de platos para tener una buena idea de lo que el menú tenía para ofrecer. Empezamos con la ensalada de mousse de queso de cabra, paté, bolas de arancini y ensalada de pollo. Todos eran increíblemente simples, caros y carecían de sabor real. Para empezar, estos platos podrían haberse servido en cualquier restaurante económico, pero aquí se marcaron mucho más allá de lo que valían. Para el plato principal, fuimos con el Pato (40€ ) , Cordero (40€ ) , y Dover Sole. El pato estaba seco, soso, y venía con solo unas pocas zanahorias bebé y patatas sin sabor. El Cordero estaba demasiado cocido e igualmente insípido. La suela Dover estaba bien, un poco seca y carecía de cualquier condimento o riqueza. Lo que realmente nos dejó sintiéndonos engañados, sin embargo, fue el precio. Nos habría decepcionado la comida incluso a un precio más bajo, pero cuando pagas 100 € por persona, simplemente no es aceptable. Para empeorar las cosas, el servicio era deficiente: el personal ni siquiera se molestó en servir nuestro vino y nuestro café Calipso llegó frío. La única característica redentora de la noche fue el cóctel Margarita, que en realidad era bastante agradable. Definitivamente no volveremos. Cuando pagas precios premium, esperas comida y servicio premium, y este restaurante no cumplió con ambos. - -
