18/09/2026: Irish breakfast not particularly good. Although the price was reasonable for the quality.

13/07/2026: Super simple food served with a smile. My only complaint was there was was just too much of it. We went back the following night.

21/09/2026: We had a ot of fun seeking the folk music scene in several of hhe pubs in Cork city.

07/09/2026: I had a lovely evening, with Irish music and a girl dancing their dances. The food was good.

05/09/2026: Came here to grab a something to eat and grab a beer. We got here at 4pm when google said they opened at at 2pm and the kitchen opened at 3pm. The bartender said he had just opened and when I asked for food, he said food was not being served. Oh well, moved on. Please fix your you hours and fix your food hours.

06/08/2026: Order a toasted special yesterday. Only thing special about it was the price....SIXTEEN BLOODY EURO FOR THIS !!! I paid in advance at the till thinking that for the price that maybe there will be french fries with it, hence the expensive cost. Even at that, it still would have been expensive without tea or coffee and in a kip of a place with plain uncomfortable wooden seats. The "special" consisted of two slices of plain toasted white bread cut in half, about two slices of ordinary process ham, bit of grated cheese, small bit of onion and tomato...and a few crisps that wouldnt cover the palm of your hand....€16!! RIP OFF!!! That morning in town I had got a breakfast in Tony's Bistro North Main St for €16 which had the same amount of toasted bread plus a slice of McCambridge wheat bread, 3 sausages, 3 bacon, an egg, a hash brownie and a coffee! DO NOT GO TO PATONIS....if your a small bit peckish and not too fussy, save yourseld a tenner and go into Tesco and buy a made up sambo for a fiver and sit in the public seating which is just as comfortable.....or just starve!

29/07/2026: My toastie had a hair in it and they asked if it could be cheese it was clearly a hair..they made another one for me with everything I didn’t want on it im pregnant and allergic to tomato’s. Also the taytos were stale The bread was barely toasted but I will say the customer service was great. Everything else was absolutely terrible. My partner got sick after the food once he was home he was completely fine before that. Very disappointed but I will say the service was great and the staff were very friendly.

06/09/2026: 5 waitresses and service was dismal! Food was edible, just - less said the better. Just NO!

23/09/2026: Went with my girlfriend despite the poor reviews. Even the one star reviews do this place justice. Both myself and my girlfriend were sick afterwards. The chips were oven chips at best, steak was clearly airfried and black despite me asking for medium rare. Neither myself and her are picky eaters but to get a shockingly poor steak, garlic bread with an Easi Single on it, oven chips and to be sick afterwards wasn't worth the meal, even if it was free. Chicken wings were decent to be fair. I'd say they're getting their food from Tesco down the road but even at that I'd cook Tesco food better myself.

22/09/2026: This used to be top class, but the revamp, IMHO, should not have been done. Yes they serve food, but it is far from a meal. My partner and I used to, every time we passed, dropped in for a meal, however, it is not worth the visit. Secondly, AVOCA is operating parking at over €4 per hour. Even in prime location in Dublin city centre, parking is less expensive. Not only is this place a waste of time, the play the same con as 'pub bites' laced with spices so one drinks more. This place is now a con to be avoided.

29/08/2026: This is going to be my Google review so disappointing we go here every now and again as a treat staff we’re so rude cracking her knuckles as she served us Absolutely shocking experience. We ordered all of our food together, yet it came out in different stages, leaving some of us eating while others were still sitting there waiting. By the time we eventually had everything, half of the food was cold. The chips were like rocks — hard, dry and practically inedible. The onion rings were cold and burnt, and as for the chicken, the photos speak for themselves. After opening it up and seeing what we were served, we certainly weren’t going to eat it. When an entire order is placed together, it’s reasonable to expect the meals to arrive together, hot and properly cooked. Instead, we paid good money for food that was cold, overcooked and extremely disappointing. Most of it was left behind. A complete waste of money and without a doubt one of the worst meals we’ve been served. Definitely won’t be returning to Dinos Ballincollig

25/08/2026: Overall a good shop and I always have a good experience. I come here often and I get the impression that they are understaffed, especially when it’s busy. The food is always nice

24/07/2026: Charred Flatbread was amazing and fish and chips looked good. One member of our party had to send vegetable curry back as the vegetables were hard and undercooked, and the Summer Eton Mess wasn’t fresh with dense meringues and a singular soft strawberry. Service was friendly and good though - shout out to Grace !!

14/07/2026: “Catch of the day” was a grilled hake which was stale and was obviously cooked the day before. Totally unacceptable for a €23 dish and had to send back. Also not much variety of dishes which is not good for a couple of days stay.
