30/10/2024: I can't share the positive reviews. We booked 5 nights there and as a thank you we were given a very old-fashioned room with mold in the bathroom. Everything looked different when we booked. After complaining, we were allowed to change - to an identical room with a little less mold. There were only lamps in the room (one of them broken) with dark lampshades - no ceiling light - which is why it was always dark in the room. The room was on the ground floor and you could easily see the bed from the parking lot. The heating knocked at night and it was still always cold. Of course there was no air conditioning either. We will not be returning to the Montenotte Hotel and feel it was an expensive experience... The Motion Health Club, the panoramic restaurant and the spa are really good, hence still 3 stars.

26/10/2024: We requested early checkin, and even on a very busy weekend we got it! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Could not recommend this place more! A walk up a big hill to get here but taxis and buses are easily available.

14/10/2024: American tourists in Ireland - this was definitely more “American” feel but just what we were looking for to watch the NFL games. Pulled pork nachos were amazing. Great atmosphere and would recommend!

04/10/2024: The worst food I have ever eaten in my whole life, I wish I had never gone there, the beer was watery, I wish I had told you at the time but I was so disappointed I couldn't, it was my boyfriend's birthday, I tried to take him somewhere nice and it was simply the worst food we've ever had, we couldn't even eat to be honest. We spent €60 and we had one of the worst experiences of our lives.

09/11/2024: This used to be a great spot back in the day but the last time I visited I was shocked to hear some of the backwards comments about immigrants from the manager himself. I took some international work colleagues here and to say I was embarrassed at the comments he was loudly making for all to hear would be an understatement. I will never come back again.

28/09/2024: GET A NEW SECURITY MAN! We were sitting down outside and an older couple came up to the door and asked some fellow having a cigarette if they were still serving inside and he said he wasn't sure but they'd probably be finishing soon (it was about 12.20am and the security had already turned away 2 or 3 pairs of people from going in). They asked for recommendations on where they should go and he VERY POLITELY gave them some, they then thanked him and left. Next thing the security very aggressively told him that he didn't work here and to get out. There was no need for this attitude at all. We've been talking about it all night and think it's an absolute disgrace that you'd have someone on your door treating a customer who couldn't have been nicer with such disrespect!

28/10/2024: Love the mix of different age groups in the Crawford. Basically, you can't be too young (within legal limits) or too old!! Music at weekends, also great place for party with finger food provided by bar ... must be arranged in advance!

21/09/2024: The chicken wings are very spicy even if you order them without spice 🥵 The chicken tenders are SPECTACULAR!!! Very good service, especially from a dark-haired girl whose name I don't remember. Nice setting. In my case I avoid it on weekends because of the amount of people and loud noises.

27/10/2024: I'm embarrassed to have arranged a family get together. The service was practically non existent. Food was over priced and so bad. Smallest chicken wings I've even been served. Prawns noodle was so poor. Chicken Kiev same. I ate here a few years ago and it was lovely. What has happened? Don't go here. Super disappointing.

21/10/2024: I found myself spending most of my time for 3 weeks watching my Dad die at the hospital across the road while being put up at the Bru Columbanus charitable hotel. We were on a weekend break in Kerry when he had a stroke. This pub is inbetween CUH and Bru. For the first couple of nights I called around 10pm, still crying, for a couple of pints. The bar manager Paul didn't ask any questions, just served me politely and let me be, just as I needed. On the 3rd night he politely asked about my situation and over the next fortnight he asked every night about my Dad and engaged me in conversation that took my mind away from the awful situation I was in. A lovely man and top Bar manager. Slainte Paul.

21/09/2024: Outstanding food but the service was a let down. We ordered 2 pints of murphys and an IPa, a pizza with chips and the blue cheese burger. When we went to pay there was an extra pint and a €22 cocktail on put bill that we didn't order. We didn't dispute the extra murphys but we counted the extra pint as the tip. The service was ok but tbf the food was excellent.

23/08/2024: Poor pizza (supermarket pizzas are far better), mediocre ‘smash’ burger. Best avoided if you want to eat. Beer okay though.

05/10/2024: Our dining experience was flawless thanks to hosea he’s so sweet,who was very professional and He made sure everything was just right and recommended the perfect dishes for us. His attention to detail made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Excellent service overall!Thank you !

With prices and quality this restaurant has pushed its priorities to the limit with great satisfaction. The staff were more then happy to assist with the food ordered and  anything else that was required. The menu in this grill restaurant is simple, yet has alot to offer to satisfy your hungry needs, for all foodies. With quality food served in a comfortable spacious indoor seating area. With an interesting and attenative interior. This restaurant will definitely give you top rated quality food at affordable prices. Highly recommend.

01/07/2024: Breakfast Right on the money if you’re looking for somewhere to have a good old breakfast in Cork centre. The couple who run this joint make you feel so welcome and the breaky was spot on!

24/08/2024: Great little Irish bar. Definitely not a tapas bar. We almost didn’t come because we didn’t want tapas… it’s just a good ol’ bar.
