29/10/2024: Was waiting almost ten minutes to be seated then another fifteen to be served for breakfast, both food and coffee came out 20 minutes later stone cold and half cooked. The tables and floor were filthy, and some tables were left with dirty plates on them while customers were being turned away due to lack of tables available.
23/10/2024: The food is yummy and the prices are very reasonable.
Matt and the staff were very efficient in handling the many customers.
We visited twice during our stay in Bantry.

31/10/2024: Terrific chipper, very consistent loses one star because online ordering is a mess and if your card doesn't go through first time (which can happen for no reason) you lose a lot of time queuing up and having to order again, especially at peak times
17/10/2024: The food is delicious, the staff are lovely, the shop is clean, the service is fast, the price is reasonable for the food.

The Fry Traditional Fish & Chip Shop

15/05/2024: They keep getting phoned in orders wrong. 3 times in the last year the order has been wrong and you only find out it's wrong once you get home (10 mins drive). Dinos it is from now on.
05/05/2024: Chips awful. Onion rings not cooked. Burgers terrible as in no salad in salad burger, and onions and contents minimal . Only thing that was nice in group of 5 people was the chicken nuggets. The fry was always a lovely place to get food from but not lately Unfortunately wont be returning, as has happened more than once now.

08/09/2024: It was absolutely terrible to be
honest when I was hoping to say otherwise. The food was shocking for what you pay and wasn't edible. My taste buds are still in shock and trying to recover. Spent over €50 and never again will we be ordering from here. Very disappointed.
28/07/2024: Went there for Sunday lunch. Food was nice and service only ok. Main course 23euro .Half portion 20 euro and a lot less food for that 20 euro. Not value for money

07/10/2024: Very tasty food, the workers go out of their way to foreigners, speaking more slowly and repeating if they didn't understand something. And they also made a nice gift in the form of a very tasty burger (we ordered one set, with a burger, they made a second one), with hot sauce. They work until 12 at night, even on Sunday. Thank you very much! They saved us from starvation
29/09/2024: The food was great, but they kept changing my delivery time. It was originally 30 minutes but I ended up waiting almost 2 hours. The delivery driver from the restaurant was very rude and obviously annoyed at me.

20/07/2024: Do not visit Douglas without going here. I would recommend going when it opens as it gets so busy. The menu is outstanding and everything we had was tasty and fresh. Cant wait to be back to try a few more items.
05/07/2024: Would love to see an alternative to the tired Vegetarian Pita, was soggy with sauce and mayo. Maybe something tofu based or falafel

09/09/2024: Food is excellent, all fresh fish! Service was great too. Would definetely go back! Had the crab gratin and fish of the day and both were excellent.
25/08/2024: Really disappointed with our first visit to this restaurant after reading their raving reviews. We didn’t have a reservation but didn’t expect to be treated so rudely by the host and grunted at them turned away. A recommendation would have sufficed not that our custom was so unwelcome and disregarded. We’ve only just purchased locally and chose this restaurant last minute after visiting for the day. We would have been happy to return but doubt we will .The fact that my husband noticed was what confirmed to me that the behaviour was so appalling. We ended up having a lovely meal at Murphy’s around the corner and delighted with their friendly service.
