I ordered a Half Flamed Grilled Peri Peri Chicken, Deadly Double burger and Chicken Tenders with Garlic Peri Peri mayo sauce, to start, Burger was unbelievable very juicy, had a grilled taste to it, fresh tomato, lettuce, with their secret sauce, I can comfortably say that this burger is a strong competitor to other high quality burgers in Cork City, tenders perfectly made with thin layer of batter like crisp, juicy and tender, and the Garlic Peri Peri mayo was the best overall, rich in flavour, smooth and tiny bit spicy, I found out that they make their own mayo sauces, which is a huge plus from me, and last but not least Half Girlled Peri Peri Chicken, grilled, tender, juicy, and well seasoned comes with gourmet red cabbage slaw, and perfect proper Irish mash, absolutely delicious, the best thing is that they have a whole summer menu that best fits those sunny days. definitely will come back here again, 100% recommend for anyone to try especially that I paid 53 euro for everything including 2 pints of beer, money well spend.

The sausgues were brunt but I didn't mind, when me and my mam got to our seats (the high up ones) there was crumbs and food left on the ground. The staff were very kind and nice though. But I do prefer the old Wilton restaurant.

Tried it Thursday night with three friends after the new owners spent quite a bit of money to make it look like a cheesy 1970s "Irish bar". New staff enthusiastic and friendly. It seems to be a TV sports bar now, but maybe they were only showing the Masters. Food was grand, like. But what really killed the evening was the live music which was piped loudly through every speaker in the bar so you could not escape it, and it's a big bar. We left early because we couldn't talk without shouting. We weren't the only ones to leave because of this.

We have so many good memories with family and friends in The Wilton from over the years and we will always miss the old Wilton. However, it’s clear that alot of work went into the revamp and overall I think it’s been very positive so far. Also, keeping the original mantle piece with the late founder’s name engraved was a touch of class by new management. Personally, I think more of a balance between the typical city centre bar and a suburban establishment is needed. For example, the live music acts and bouncer’s approach should be tweaked from those typical of a city centre bar. Wising new management all the best, we will be rooting for The Wilton’s success.
