De Barra's Restaurant in Cork

Best full Irish I've had in ages, everything about it was perfect, I didn't eat for the rest of the day, worth the €14 spent, service was polite and direct, atmosphere ....it was early maybe people were just waking up.

I got the poached eggs without avocado on soda bread and it was delicious and well priced. I also got black pudding and it was lovely. Will definitely be back.

Ordered coffee got tea,which was sorted out,breakfast was OK huge slices of black and white pudding,far too thick,but more worrying was the reserved table for 6 which was blocking a fire escape.......music way too loud, acoustics making everything echoey.

By far the best place I've found to get breakfast in bantry. With there home made hashbrown really add a personalised feel to the breakfast.

Don't bother visiting... unless you're very hungry and looking for really tasty food! Lovely casual restaurant/cafe offering a good selection of mains, desserts and light lunches... not forgetting possibly the best vegetable soup I've EVER tasted (and I've tasted a lot). Not a criticsm as the staff were more than obliging when I asked for a take out box, but the portion sizes are substantial, it's an easy venue to suffer from "my eyes are bigger than my belly" syndrome! Overall De Barras offered friendly service, good food and all at a price that won't break the bank. Thoroughly recommended!

Very nice place, food was excellent got poached eggs with salmon which done the job as in it filled me up, coffee was good enough nothing to complain about, it was fairly packed when i was there and probably a bit under staffed they two women were sprinting around trying to keep everything going so fair play to them,worth a visit in my books
