18/09/2026: What a great pub! We went in soaked after walking round Malin Head and the friendly welcome, open fire, lovely soup and a great pint of Guinness was lovely.

09/09/2026: The highlight of our Letterkenny trip was our dinner here. From the complimentary appetisers to dessert, the food and service was impeccable. Would go again!

12/10/2026: I stopped in by accident because I was hungry after a hike. Little did I know… I was in for the best meal I’ve had since landing on the island. I had the chowder and chorizo bread with a Guinness (as recommended) and it was absolutely extraordinary, 10/10 recommend. It was so good that I got dessert which I usually don’t do. The chocolate almond cake is extraordinary. I literally pulled out my phone to write this review before I even finished it. So amazing

26/09/2026: We wanted two different scones: a plain scone and one with apple and cinnamon. Not only were we sold two plain scones instead of the ones we ordered, but they were also way past their prime. The scones were at least three to four days old. They ended up in the trash. The staff was very rushed.

13/08/2026: One of the best seafood chowder i have had. Ate there 3 nights in a row but avoid Wednesday when the pub fare is not available and a pizza company takes over for the night. Unless of course you like pizza but i thought they were rather bog standard.

07/08/2026: Just the perfect Irish Pub. Great bar; lots of small rooms making an excellent, but intimate, atmosphere; wonderful beer and very good food. The service is as friendly and helpful as you will find anywhere. I had the fish and chips with mushy peas which were very good.

15/09/2026: We stayed here for 3 days. Room 6 is very spacious for the two of us and the dog. The rooms are right next to the bar, but it doesn't bother you. We slept well on the rather hard beds with the rushing river nearby. The Wi-Fi is downright bad. The kitchenette with a kettle, teapot, fridge, microwave, and hotpot is fine, but there is very little cutlery. Spacious living room with a sofa, small table, and 2 chairs. The bathroom is spacious, but unfortunately, the toilet bowl is loose and there is no soap or shampoo provided. The motion-sensor lighting is very annoying; it doesn't detect you when you are standing in the shower cubicle, so you are showering in the dark after just 1 minute! We have no idea about the quality of the food or drinks in the bar since we are out and about all day. There are many shops nearby. EV charging is also available close by. There is a tourist information office in the church on the corner.

28/08/2026: Finally, a friendly and welcoming reception from the staff and the owner at this pub/restaurant! Fresh, hearty food, nothing to complain about 🙂

04/10/2026: Nice venue with plenty of parking. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. We all found it to be very warm in there. We had a reservation but had to wait for a table, it was quite busy. The food was good but the menu was a bit bland, a few of us found it hard to choose a main and felt we settled for something rather than actively choosing something. All in all a good experience in the end.

10/10/2026: We had a brilliant evening here for my dad’s 80th birthday. The staff made our night - they went above and beyond with decorations and the service was warm, welcoming and really attentive. The food was also of an incredibly high standard - especially the seafood specials (the sea trout and sea bass were particular highlights!). We’ll definitely return!

06/06/2026: We went here on Valentine’s Day and it was brilliant. The staff were amazing and very friendly. There were many gluten free options. I had the feather blade beef for main and it was delicious.
