Excellent restaurant The decoration is beautiful, the service is very friendly and professional, the cuisine is good We had the full Barn Breakfast, it was perfect, everything we wanted (see photo) We haven't tried it but the fish soup looks amazing

The food and, in particular, the seafood chowder in Nancy's Barn is stunning! It is not surprising that it has won multiple awards. We have visited for lunch many times, and it never disappoints. You cannot beat a lovely bowl of chowder alongside a beautiful guinness. Excellent service and highly recommended!

The parking is quite limited and the restaurant isn't that big so there could be done waiting but is very cute and warm. Make your reservation in advance, especially if you're going with a group bigger than 2. We had a portion of king prawns as a starter and two large chowders along with a glass of wine and a pint. All that was €48, pretty good if I compare it with Dublin prices 🙃 The seafood chowder was amazing!! I can't recommend it enough. The prawns were very good as well, served with some lime and a light jam formed a great combination. The service was really nice, super on top of everything but still relaxed, welcoming and warm. I will definitely come back if I'm around. Loved it!!

If going to Nancy's Barn, book in advance!! I would always book restaurants normally but we were clueless tourists in Ballyliffen, wandering around with no plan and just told in passing to go to Nancy's Barn. We ended up standing waiting in the corridor for at least 60 minutes, which didn't bother us as previously said, we didn't make a booking as we weren't aware of how popular Nancy's Barn is. The only negative experience was that the staff ignored us for 45 minutes, it would have been nice to have gotten a 'hello', maybe offered a menu and told there would be a significant wait time. Instead the staff at the front made no eye contact with us. A group after us asked a member of staff about a table and again, the staff member made no eye contact and under her breath said "I don't know if we're still serving food." Very unusual/unprofessional behaviour. We were told when we got a table that the food would be 30 - 40 minutes as there was an issue in the kitchen. Credit to the chef, if something went wrong in the kitchen, they still made amazing food!! The food was delicious, we had steak burgers, vegetarian burger(mine, so delicious!!!) and seafood chowders. Would highly recommend for food. In summary, make sure you make a reservation, it's difficult to get a table for a reason, the food was DEFINITELY worth the wait. The only negative was feeling completely ignored by staff for 45 minutes. I went to use the toilet after about 50 minutes of standing and the lady at the front stepped in front of me to ask where I was going. The oddest behaviour but maybe they were having an off day! I'd definitely go back if ever in Ballyliffen again!

Whenever we visit Inishowen we try to stop at Nancy’s Barn. On a busy Saturday we managed to get a table. We both had their famous chowder which is beautiful with sides of lovely chips/fries and onion rings. We left with takeaway coffees. The service was excellent as usual. Highly recommended.

This place is so good that we drove 2.5 hours our of our way with 2 kids (7&9) to visit for lunch/dinner . Some day we will stay near Ballyliffin so we can eat there every day / night of our holiday. Beautiful food, friendly service. The chowder really is award winning but the nachos were out of this world.
