Typical pub. Everybody is friendly. Great whisky selection. Best Guinness I had so far. Music on point with folk irish songs. Clifden and Lowry's knows how to welcome people.

Stopped for a pint of Guiness (of course!). The first stop since I landed in Dublin and bussed 5 hours to get to Clifden. That was a good thirst quencher! The barman was quick to get the order. We sat outside to enjoy our Guiness with a bit of the Irish sun.

The perfect pub to experience the magical atmosphere of Ireland: an absolutely fantastic whiskey bar and servers who are happy to make you any cocktail you want! A perfect experience!

20/04/2026: Authentic old castle hotel. Timeless, great service, clean & today. Beautiful spacious bedrooms & unbelievable bathroom size with shower & seperate tub bath.

08/04/2026: Enjoyed two bowls of amazing soup and brown bread. The chowder was fantastic. Great friendly service in a nice pub atmosphere.
11/03/2026: This was our 1st trip to Ireland, and Clifden was on our drive. As we were walking around, we took notice of the lunch menu and the food stood out - not your normal pub fair! We were surprised to find everything had a true chef's flair and delicious. The owner engaged us in conversation and guided us to a warm fire and funny jokes. Then some more locals popped in and joined us and it was a great Irish moment; everything you come to Ireland for!
