Friendly place with a great atmosphere. We arrived with kids and lots of luggage, but the manager found us a comfy spot. We enjoyed drinks and shared laughs with welcoming locals and tourists. A little later, live trad music kicked in. Such a good time we won’t forget. Highly recommend!

Superb whiskey bar. A welcome change from the usual pubs. A huge selection and a very helpful staff. I highly recommend it for the early part of the evening or late evening, as there's no food service.

A great classic pub with fantastic live music. We were there on a Sunday and the live music started at 7 pm. You should arrive by 6:30 pm at the latest, as it gets very crowded. The atmosphere is amazing!

23/08/2026: This Hotel is Fabulous 👌🏽 Just back from a beautiful 2 night stay. The welcome From Brian as you enter this magnificent hotel is Fabulous. Brian went out of his way to organise everything and ready looked after us for the weekend. The food, Drinks and Service was absolutely amazing, Thank you so much John and Karen McDonagh 😀
07/06/2026: We've had an amazing stay in this beautiful and authentic Castle, I can't thank you enough. Brian and all the staff are the real definition of "warm and welcoming", rooms are cozy and comfortable, restaurant with truly high quality menu. I wish we could stay longer than one night. See you again soon xxx

16/08/2026: A must visit in Clifden. The food is brilliant - fresh local mussels and seafood chowder are a must try. Family run pub for years. You won’t regret going.
