07/03/2025: Twas great fairly busy for a Thursday.... better than the weekend

06/03/2025: Morans will always be top tier! Charming little cottage that pumps out some seriously good seafood! If you haven’t been, what are you doing? Perfect pint of Guinness and a great selections of wines. The mussels and crab claws are always a must. The only problem I’ve ever had is trying to decide what to order.

11/03/2025: I don't understand the draw to this pub, the bartender barely spoke a word to anyone, drinks were expensive and it just was not welcoming at all. I've been all over Ireland and truly this was the least welcoming pub I've been in. If they have food, I didn't see any nor was I offered a menu for any, Just Taytos and Pringles hanging on the wall. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I wouldn't return.

28/01/2025: This place had the BEST atmosphere and food! (See image) I could have stayed here all day just relaxing to the slower pace and rhythm of life. Smelling great food and drinking coffee by the fire. My stew was so good I had no dessert!

07/12/2024: We stayed at an Airbnb right down the lane from this cafe and visited several times during our stay on the island. Best Beef and Guinness stew I’ve ever had! The tea and cake was also a lovely afternoon treat when the weather turned cold. My only complaint is they weren’t open for dinner hours, otherwise I would have taken my dinners there as well! ❤️

02/03/2025: Very deceiving from the outside, a really huge and most interesting pub (even found a wise man and a shepherd from a large crib of some Christmas past. Friendly and efficient service, and a sandwich that combines onion and banana (yes I did). Great spot.

16/02/2025: Give yourself a treat. Brian is a character and made the stay. It was like being in a lifelike version of Scooby Doo 🤣 being told tales of history in the bar to everyone attending dinners at set times. Had such a great time and will be booking again!

11/02/2025: Celebrating my mother's 70th birthday here was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm and attentive staff made us feel welcome and special. Special touches like the complimentary Prosecco reception with a local history talk, followed by beautiful piano music and lively entertainment, elevated the experience beyond compare. I didn't have the opportunity to visit the spa this time, but it's definitely on my list for the next visit! What truly sets Abbeyglen Castle apart is their exceptional hospitality. They go above and beyond to ensure a personalised experience for each guest. Brian, the host, is an absolute gem - his warmth, genuine kindness, and attentiveness made us feel like cherished guests throughout our stay. He even took photos and printed them for us as keepsakes, a thoughtful touch that went above and beyond. In all my years of travel, I've never experienced such genuine hospitality and warmth, apart from the last time we stayed her many years ago for my fathers 60th! Every member of our large family group, from the youngest to the oldest, thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay.

15/03/2025: This is a delightful, even slightly quirky restaurant. The staff were courteous and friendly. Service was very efficient. For me as a vegetarian, it was one of the best meals out I have had in a long time. We also had breakfast the next morning and again the vegetarian option was excellent. I felt that the vegetarian menu was imaginative and delicious.

11/03/2025: We stopped in for a quick lunch on our way west and were very very happily surprised at how good the food was, how interesting the menu is, and how good the service was.

30/01/2025: I stopped here to take refuge after a whole day in the rain on my Western Way route. Storm Éowyn had just hit so the bar was out of service because there was no electricity or network, however the owners of the establishment welcomed me very warmly and allowed me to get dry for 2 hours before hitting the road again. I was able to chat with them and it was very nice! I will come back with great pleasure another time! Thank you for the welcome! God bless you guys!

07/01/2025: Was surprised by this pub, the atmosphere inside was lovely. A cold day outside was met by warmth and some lovely food. After cycling around in the cold this was heaven.

15/03/2025: One of the best places in Oranmore to have food. Their ribeye was really juicy. However, their tiramisú was more their cake version of tiramisú. Anyway, nice place to go on a night out.
