06/08/2026: Great location if you get a sea view on the 1st floor. The food was good but a bit pricey. Service was ok but our table was cleared of things without us being asked, like it was a cheap motel. Like we just had to leave the place quickly.

13/09/2026: Not only are the fish and chips so bloody delicious ,the staff are amazing too. Tereasa catered for my sisters hen and I feel she went above and beyond for us. She delivered the food herself with extras generously thrown in for us. You can feel the food was made with love ❤️ No faults. Best fish i’ve had in years too. Cannot recommend this place enough for great food and service in Connemara with sensational views to go with 10/10

09/09/2026: We stopped at Pádraicíns Gastropub for a quick bowl of seafood chowder while returning from Inis Mór. The location is very picturesque and the pub has a lovely setting, but unfortunately the chowder was disappointing. It was very thick and heavily loaded with sweetcorn, while there was very little fish or seafood. Perhaps we caught it on an off day, but based on the chowder alone, it wasn’t particularly memorable.

15/09/2026: This is a typical kind of Irish roadside pub that we would have stopped off at in the 1970s - and that's not really a compliment! It felt like going back in time, and not in a good way! The coffee is from a push button machine and completely tasteless. You can get far better at most petrol stations. I had a scone which was as dry as a bone. That was a few days ago. We were passing by again and decided to give it a second chance. My friend had a scone and I was waiting to see if it was any better than my previous experience, but it was even more dried up - it must have been sitting there since the week before! There is a grocery shop attached, with a coffee machine. That might be a better option.

17/08/2026: This is a fantastic place to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Greeted on arrival in the car park. All very friendly and relaxed. Mary is a great guide. The pigs were a laugh - total characters. They’re gentle as well and my seven year old daughter was big enough to walk Emilia the adult pig. The other animals are well worth a look too - especially the sheep. Whole experience was a highlight of the Summer.

22/08/2026: Avoid 'Chowder' it's a potatoe chowder. Loads Halved Potatoes and green beans floating in cream. Two pieces of Fish. Dearest I've ever paid at €13.50.

15/08/2026: The brioche French toast 😳 To. Die. For. Highlight sweet breakfast of the decade for me.

28/09/2026: We had fish and chops and a Caesar salad. Both dishes were hearty and delicious. For dessert, apple pie with vanilla ice cream. I can say that this pie has the best pastry base I have ever tasted!!! It is extraordinary. I would say that the place offers simple but fresh, quality food at a reasonable price.

16/09/2026: Called here on our way to Galway, with friends. Brilliant. A traditional Irish restaurant. Superb meal - great portion sizes, delicious Guinness, very reasonably priced. Lovely friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

07/09/2026: A pub where you can eat and drink at lunchtime and in the evening. There's live music in the evenings; we stumbled upon the one with the little old man who had phenomenal energy for his age—it was really nice.

13/09/2026: We got a lovely table for two without a reservation. The welcome, service, and food recommendations were very friendly and professional. The tagliatelle was the best! Kudos to the kitchen.

09/09/2026: We haven’t had booking and it was almost end of service. We were welcomed without any problem, got a lovely table on the window. Service was excellent, the staff was incredibly friendly and didn’t make us feel at any point like its time to close. Food was also very good, rich in flavor, beautifully served. We were offered dessert and extras from a chef. Such a lovely place to visit once more and a unique pearl on a map of Connemara.

04/10/2026: Not great. Ordered chicken supreme, chicken not tasty , a lot of bones, mash was nice small bit of veg rest of plate was full of sauces. My partner got fish and chips , tiny portion of chips , tarter sauce , peas then fish was greasy and had a short black hair on it. Wasent asked once was food ok , we paid and left . Will not return again. Very over priced food portions small , over rated

29/09/2026: Really enjoyed our meal. Had the soup of the day (tomato basil) and pat's burger. Both were very tasty. Lovely sever. A stormy night outside but cozy inside.
