the owner talked about the menu with us and the waiters were all very nice
we were a party of 7 and it suited us very well but I can see this being a lovely date spot

14/08/2026: I had a wonderful stay at The Boat Inn and really enjoyed my experience. The hotel was lovely, comfortable and welcoming. The room was clean, cozy and well prepared, and the self check-in process was very easy and convenient. The location was great, and everything was exactly as expected. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend The Boat Inn. I would be happy to stay here again!

Stayed here one night, room was clean bright and cozy
Plenty of hot water for showers,etc.
Plenty of parking.
Breakfast was fresh and tasty.
Staff are super welcoming and we really felt looked after. A lovely place to stay.

Stopped here on our way to Dublin for some lovely toasties and a pint of Guinness. What a fantastic little find!
A proper traditional Irish pub, full of friendly locals, with horse racing on the TV. We soon got chatting, and when they asked where we were from, we said Cheltenham. They knew it immediately, and one gentleman even said, “See you in March!” 😂🏇
Such a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a brilliant example of genuine Irish hospitality. Great Guinness, good food and lovely people.
One of those unexpected stops that makes a road trip memorable. We’ll definitely be back! ☘️🇮🇪

01/08/2026: Very simple hotel, rooms are comfortable, food was lovely and no problem sleeping at night. Other places we stayed, the traffic kept us awake nearly all night. Would definitely stay there again

08/10/2026: Ordered an all MEAT pizza, was given a mushroom pizza. Asked for BBQ WINGS, was given garlic sauce. Wouldn't recommend for a dogs dinner let alone human.

14/10/2024: A fan of breakfasts I heartily recommend having one here.
Their main courses get a delicious in my book too.
Great service with a smile and when more familiar with you, banter to enjoy.
Well worth the time to stop for a break from whatever your days involves.

18/09/2024: We stopped for a coffee and ended up having breakfast because the place looked great and the girls who ran it were so friendly.
The French omelet with ham and cheese was delicious.
