We had a delicious lunch here! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed incredibly warmly. Immediately, a carafe of ice water with two glasses was placed on the table, entirely on the house. You hardly ever see such a hospitable gesture in the Netherlands.
The food was truly fantastic: fresh, flavorful, plentiful, and clearly prepared with high-quality ingredients. Everything was perfect.
Thank you for the wonderful experience. This restaurant is absolutely worth driving a bit out of your way for. We would love to come back again!

05/07/2026: Easy to believe the best coffee shops in Ireland sign. The espresso is excellent and the locally made desserts are as unique as they are delicious. The interior impeccable and there's a nice patio for that day each month when it doesn't rain.

The rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious and homemade.

05/03/2026: Popped in for coffee and tea. One of our party is wheelchair bound, and we were helped by staff, and a lovely lady patron entering and exiting. Friendly Staff and Patrons too! Excellent service! Highly recommended.
01/02/2026: We stayed above the pub for one night. Very cosy room, clean reasonably priced. Little kitchen with a fridge and microwave. Milk in the fridge, tea and coffee. Would definitely recommend.

25/08/2025: Our family had a very memorable stay here. Rooms were very clean with a lot of space. The breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect, right in the middle of scenic places to drive. The best part was the staff who were so friendly and made sure we have a lovely stay. Thank you so much!

15/06/2026: Terrible flies are so annoyed that I can't finish my supermac. I feel so upset, so angry, so frustrating those staffs do not think of customer health safe eat. Thank a lot of terrible waste for terrible over cooked and some chips brown onion rings burned and very oily terrible worse place I ever see. You need to get that fixed. Hope one day inspection will close this terrible supermac.

The Boat Inn

12/07/2026: I wish I could give more than 5 stars for customer service, because they were amazing! We needed a room and everything in the region was fully booked. I checked here and was told they were just opening, so rooms weren't really ready yet. But then the manager called me back and explained that she'd try to help us out. She went way beyond the norm and we appreciated it.
The facility is completely renovated in a charming way and the shower was wonderful. We had a great time in the town that evening. There are lots of small pubs with traditional and not so traditional music, full of local folks having a good time. Having a World Cup game on the TV in the background made it even more fun.
The town is beautiful place to discover. The shopping was varied and not at all the normal tourist fare. The buildings were fascinating and don't miss a walk or drive back the road along the playing fields to the lake (a hidden jewel).
Overall loved this experience.

14/10/2024: A fan of breakfasts I heartily recommend having one here.
Their main courses get a delicious in my book too.
Great service with a smile and when more familiar with you, banter to enjoy.
Well worth the time to stop for a break from whatever your days involves.

18/09/2024: We stopped for a coffee and ended up having breakfast because the place looked great and the girls who ran it were so friendly.
The French omelet with ham and cheese was delicious.
