Carrowntober Foods in Oughterard

29/09/2026: Faherty’s, Oughterard – A Proper Irish Pub! ☘️🍻 Stopped here on our way to Dublin for some lovely toasties and a pint of Guinness. What a fantastic little find! A proper traditional Irish pub, full of friendly locals, with horse racing on the TV. We soon got chatting, and when they asked where we were from, we said Cheltenham. They knew it immediately, and one gentleman even said, “See you in March!” 😂🏇 Such a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a brilliant example of genuine Irish hospitality. Great Guinness, good food and lovely people. One of those unexpected stops that makes a road trip memorable. We’ll definitely be back! ☘️🇮🇪
