The Boat Inn in Oughterard

I had a wonderful stay at The Boat Inn and really enjoyed my experience. The hotel was lovely, comfortable and welcoming. The room was clean, cozy and well prepared, and the self check-in process was very easy and convenient. The location was great, and everything was exactly as expected. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend The Boat Inn. I would be happy to stay here again!

Located in the heart of Oughterard with every amenity nearby. The guesthouse has been tastefully renovated and refurbished. Check-in was quick and easy. The rooms are warm and inviting. A really lovely stay for a weekend, or even longer to explore the Wild Atlantic Way.

Amazing experience from check in to check out. Modern and super clean rooms and a really fun cute area. Would definitely recommend!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for customer service, because they were amazing! We needed a room and everything in the region was fully booked. I checked here and was told they were just opening, so rooms weren't really ready yet. But then the manager called me back and explained that she'd try to help us out. She went way beyond the norm and we appreciated it. The facility is completely renovated in a charming way and the shower was wonderful. We had a great time in the town that evening. There are lots of small pubs with traditional and not so traditional music, full of local folks having a good time. Having a World Cup game on the TV in the background made it even more fun. The town is beautiful place to discover. The shopping was varied and not at all the normal tourist fare. The buildings were fascinating and don't miss a walk or drive back the road along the playing fields to the lake (a hidden jewel). Overall loved this experience.
