The best restaurants in Galway

02/05/2025: Went there for tea ( advisable to book). Friendly, efficient service, lovely pint of Guinness and so tasty prawn cocktail.

15/05/2025: We stumbled in by chance. We wanted something to eat, and the bar was right in front of us, so we went in. There weren't many customers in the restaurant, but it still took a while before we were assigned a table in the corner, which was too small for six people. Then, for a long time, no one came to take our order – a no-go! The service was rather mediocre 😏 The value for money wasn't really good either 😏. The prices were relatively high, the portions relatively small, and the taste was rather so-so. In short, we wouldn't go there again.

08/05/2025: Ravi's is THE pub where you have to dine to have the atmosphere as a bonus. Live music every evening guaranteed. On the other hand, like everywhere in Connemara, plan to dine around 6:30 p.m. to have a good table.

04/05/2025: They had Gluten Free cake! Specified as being GF ingredients made in a non-GF kitchen. Staff were sound, accommodated kids with a high chair, they took our buggy off to the side somewhere, made it easy for us. Nice one.

28/04/2025: Delicious, freshly cooked food - made to order. Menu has something for everyone. The meat is excellent quality. The coffee is hot and generous. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Really good value. A real gem in Athenry.

05/05/2025: My pasta was good but my wife's pork balsamico was tough and dried. Not a good dish, in my opinion. Clumsy favors; protein was low quality. Nice folks.

12/04/2025: Real ITALIAN restaurant in Ireland... Fantastic fish dishes and real Italian pizza made by a Neapolitan pizza chef... What can I say, if you want to eat well, this place is truly recommended!

22/05/2025: This is a small and cozy cafe. We went in to have a coffee. Good service. Fast and high quality, I can't say anything about the food, but there were a lot of people and everyone looked happy. I think this is a good place. Like the town itself, it is surprisingly cozy, you don't want to leave.

16/05/2025: The salad was weeping and flacid. The pasta was raw. I do not mean 'al dente'. I mean absolutely uncooked. They literally did not stir the pasta in the pot. It was both expensive and horrendous.

14/03/2025: Lovely little restaurant.i dined here for my full Irish breakfast before heading back to Donegal after camping in clifden ego beech ,I have been coming to connamera for About 20 years now and this is my go to for my full Irish .it was so yummie devious and fresh staff come to the table pretty quick very friendly staff at that. If it's a nice Irish breakfast your after this is the place to come to.i have often eaten here in the evening for a to die for fish and chips.scrumpious staff lovely and friendly.i can't fault it lovely grub all round.

01/03/2025: Superb fish and chips. My sister ordered the special of beef roast and potatoes. Very hard to cut with knife given and gristly.

14/02/2025: stopped here twice during our week in ireland and it was so good we had to leave a review. we only had hot drinks but highly reccomended the chai lattes! the service was warm and welcoming. even the other customers were lovely and inviting. in a society of big coffee chains it’s lovely to see good independent cafés and to see a community come together to support a small business is heart warming!

29/04/2025: Ideal breakfast, with a delicious Chai latte and homemade cinnamon roll, plus a superb view of the port. The sun as a bonus!! A must if you come to Kinvarra.

25/04/2025: As soon as we entered we immediately felt welcomed by this wonderful place, the location is small but very well kept and covered in beautiful paintings. The table service is also fast, we got two delicious bagels with some sensational desserts attached. We were very satisfied from all points of view, absolutely recommended!!!

22/04/2025: Staff ...5 stars ...excellent curtious staff working to the very highest standards..they made us feel welcome at the busiest of times . FOOD ....5 Stars ...The food was excellent. And I'm not one to beat about the bush if anything is amis ..my wife had the homemade burger and told me it was delicious. I had the haddock and chips . I was extremely impressed with the portion and quality. . My desert was no different .. well done chef. GUINNESS .5 STARS. . I'm a very fussy and long time drinker of Guinness. . And the arches didn't dissapoint . My wife also enjoyed her two pints of Guinness also .. Overall. Our experience of the restaurant facilities was of the highest standard. We recommend that you take advantage or the large parking area around the rear of the building and visit THE ARCHES bar and restaurant.
