17/08/2026: Excellent restaurant. We had a wonderful time. You can stop here without hesitation. Good food and friendly staff. Calm atmosphere; you can actually have a conversation.

11/08/2026: Right in the city center, had a lovely meal outside, baked brie as a starter, then both fish dishes, a nice beer to go with it, sublime💪😋

30/06/2026: The Connemara Coast Hotel delivers exactly what its name promises: a stunning setting right on the water, with views that made the stay memorable from the moment we arrived. Our room carried that same charm, offering its own lovely outlook along with a genuinely comfortable bed and quality bedding that made for restful nights after long days exploring. The one frustration was the shower's temperature control. Despite a label claiming it was preset to the optimal temperature, I found myself constantly adjusting between too hot and too cold, never quite landing on something comfortable. It's a small thing, but it's worth a mention since these overly engineered systems often end up less user-friendly than a simple dial. That minor gripe aside, everything else about the stay was excellent. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, the dinner and breakfast offerings were both very good, and the bar area had a lively, welcoming buzz to it in the evenings. The only other consideration is location: the hotel sits a little outside of town, so don't expect much in the way of nearby restaurants or shops if you're hoping to wander on foot. Overall, a wonderful stay with beautiful views, great food, and warm hospitality — just be patient with the shower.

06/06/2026: Attended a wedding here recently after not visiting the venue for many years. I was delightful to see the rooms have been refurbished, but the character and friendliness I remembered roundly remained. I would be very happy to revisit in the future.

16/08/2026: We had a party of 20. Service was great and the food was very nice. Menu is pizza and Tex Mex plus lots of nice desserts.

13/08/2026: We had a very good experience at this restaurant. Despite arriving late (8:40 pm) when the kitchen closed at 9 pm, we were warmly welcomed and the pizzas were excellent.

25/07/2026: Tipping in Ireland is not like the U.S. (unless you eat here). First place in 4 trips to Ireland that “automatically add 10% gratuity” and unlike the states, where automatic gratuities are added when the party size is 6 or more people, this is added regardless of party size. I always tip when here anyway, so not a big deal, just never saw that anywhere but here. Food was wonderful, service good. Our first time here MANY years ago was to a bar… they have redone the place since and completely different vibe as mainly a restaurant with a tiny bar.

01/07/2026: Amazing coffee and the best cake ever… we had the award winning lemon and coconut. Lovely seating area upstairs. Highly recommend this little gem.

16/06/2026: The best of staff… So friendly when we go in with our toddler & doggo. Could ask for a better wee coffee shop. Nearly a weekend ritual at this stage 👌🏾

25/07/2026: Visited twice and on both occasions the food has been excellent. Well worth a visit if you are looking for a great pasta or pizza in a relaxed atmosphere.

13/07/2026: I eat here about once a month,have to say the Lasagne is perfect ,the only downside is I come to relax and enjoy food and atmosphere but when younger staff are on they tend to play dance/rap music which isn't relaxing hence only 2 stars.

An incredible atmosphere that you just shouldn't miss. Highly, Highly recommended!

25/06/2026: Stunning location. Groynds and house immaculately kept. Service was the absolute highlight. So warm, welcoming and thoughtful. Best welcome my 6 yearold has had anywhere. Couldn't recommend more highly for families with young kids or anyone looking for a quiet getaway

24/06/2026: This hotel is a secret family gem whatever the weather . The welcome ,service , quality and value for money is incomparable to anywhere else in Ireland . No it’s not all singing all dancing . It has an arts and crafts energy - bunches of wild flowers picked from The garden - a small croquet lawn , kayaking on the lake - hot tub overlooking the bay - forest walk through an orchard rose garden . And if it’s cold and rainy - chill in one of the many cosy chairs and read, write , whatever . Oh and did I mention the outdoor heated pool . PLUS the drive there and beaches on your doorstep are stunning . I almost don’t want to share it

13/08/2026: We popped in for an early dinner at The Bar and had a great time. The proprietor was friendly and chatty and the food was excellent. Two generous salads and some great spring rolls. The place filled up quickly at dinner time (we were there in mid summer), so get there early to secure a table.

03/08/2026: Amazing woodfired pizza at cosy, authentic eaterie. From outside it looks like a takeaway but a small number of tables to eat in. They were under huge pressure with massive list of orders but instead of four pizzas we ordered which would have taken an hour suggested one large family pizza he could slip in the oven quickly for our boys who needed to get back to their Gaeltacht coláiste. We greatly appreciated flexibility, friendliness and helpfulness - not to mention the absolutely delicious pizza which filled a substantial hungry gap 😋

20/07/2026: Myself my husband and 2 kids had pizza here today and it was the nicest pizza I've had. Once you walk in you feel like you're in a little restaurant in Italy. No frills amazing pizza. We will be back 😄
