10/07/2026: I had the best scone in Ireland so far here in Joyces Bar on the 15.06.2026. It was warm, fresh, not too brittle and scrumptious! This recipe should be put on a throne for scones. A Scone-Throne one might say. Thank you! Also lovely people and a cozy Irish roadside diner atmosphere in my opinion. :)

30/06/2026: We stopped here for a quick bite. The soup of the day was piping hot and delicious. The oven was roaring, it was incredibly cozy. The service was very friendly. We'll definitely be back!

02/07/2026: Our stay here was great! When you first walk in you realize how large and relaxing the property is. They offer to take the luggage to the room, bring ice to the room and assist you in any needs for your stay. The stand out staff member here was Jeeva. We wanted a table by the water and unfortunately we did not make reservations so we sat in the bar area. But luckily that’s where we had Jeeva as our server and her whole demeanor was kind. We asked for recommendations on the menu and everything was a home run. We even watched her trail after someone’s child that was off leash cleaning each Cheerio left by the beast on all fours and she did it with a smile. The only thing I will say is the room had some minor things I noticed, children finger prints on the glass in the room, sticky residue on the top of the inside part of a drawer and a tile was loose in the bathroom. But if you’re not neurotic like me you won’t even notice these things! Overall a 5/5.

30/06/2026: The Connemara Coast Hotel delivers exactly what its name promises: a stunning setting right on the water, with views that made the stay memorable from the moment we arrived. Our room carried that same charm, offering its own lovely outlook along with a genuinely comfortable bed and quality bedding that made for restful nights after long days exploring. The one frustration was the shower's temperature control. Despite a label claiming it was preset to the optimal temperature, I found myself constantly adjusting between too hot and too cold, never quite landing on something comfortable. It's a small thing, but it's worth a mention since these overly engineered systems often end up less user-friendly than a simple dial. That minor gripe aside, everything else about the stay was excellent. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, the dinner and breakfast offerings were both very good, and the bar area had a lively, welcoming buzz to it in the evenings. The only other consideration is location: the hotel sits a little outside of town, so don't expect much in the way of nearby restaurants or shops if you're hoping to wander on foot. Overall, a wonderful stay with beautiful views, great food, and warm hospitality — just be patient with the shower.

25/06/2026: Stunning location. Groynds and house immaculately kept. Service was the absolute highlight. So warm, welcoming and thoughtful. Best welcome my 6 yearold has had anywhere. Couldn't recommend more highly for families with young kids or anyone looking for a quiet getaway

24/06/2026: This hotel is a secret family gem whatever the weather . The welcome ,service , quality and value for money is incomparable to anywhere else in Ireland . No it’s not all singing all dancing . It has an arts and crafts energy - bunches of wild flowers picked from The garden - a small croquet lawn , kayaking on the lake - hot tub overlooking the bay - forest walk through an orchard rose garden . And if it’s cold and rainy - chill in one of the many cosy chairs and read, write , whatever . Oh and did I mention the outdoor heated pool . PLUS the drive there and beaches on your doorstep are stunning . I almost don’t want to share it

13/09/2026: Food was very mediocre . Staff were pleasant. In the hallway leading to the toilets there were towels left on the ground soaking up something. The toilets are very dilapidated and give a dreadful impression. The place needs to be revamped.

26/08/2026: We stopped here 2 weeks ago at random and the food was delicious (we had fish&chips). Also the waitress was adorable and has VERY GOOD music tastes (we hope you've had the chance to find your Noah Kahan's ticket concert !! 🤞🏻👌🏻). Definetly come back here if we'll have the opportunity. 13/08/2026: We popped in for an early dinner at The Bar and had a great time. The proprietor was friendly and chatty and the food was excellent. Two generous salads and some great spring rolls. The place filled up quickly at dinner time (we were there in mid summer), so get there early to secure a table.

09/08/2026: Visited on a Saturday night in August. Good pub food. Lively atmosphere. Music and singing.

24/09/2026: We had a lovely dinner on Tuesday evening. We shared a Thai seafood dish. It was enough for the 2 of us with some extra sides. One of the nicest seafood experience on that side of Galway.

09/09/2026: I was disappointed in the beef. It was cold and overcooked.

09/09/2026: Great grub and atmosphere, we stop here at least once a month, portions are generous and the prices are decent. Would definitely recommend to stop there on the way out of the city.

16/08/2026: We had a party of 20. Service was great and the food was very nice. Menu is pizza and Tex Mex plus lots of nice desserts.

13/08/2026: We had a very good experience at this restaurant. Despite arriving late (8:40 pm) when the kitchen closed at 9 pm, we were warmly welcomed and the pizzas were excellent.

26/09/2026: Excellent gluten free quiche and treats for my wife to enjoy. The woman who runs the place was full of great information and a pleasure to chat with.

02/09/2026: A lovely Italian restaurant so handy and a great place to eat whether its popping in for a quick bite to eat or having a large party. I love they're cream pasta dishes. Ive also had they're pizzas.

01/09/2026: Fantastic Food for the whole family. Whilst visting Ballinasloe, we had the pleasure to find Venezia for our evening meal. The food was flavoursome and tasty. Thought had gone into the ingredietns and they have very good sources. The children's bolognese was delicious, pizza amazing and greek salad full of flavour. A must visit when in town. Service not included in the bill.

18/09/2026: In 14 days, Shannon was the best evening we've had here. The musicians were fantastic. At the end, the innkeeper even gave us a ride to the harbor. Thank you so much. It was wonderful. All the best, Anja and Ralf.
