04/03/2025: A very cute, small coffee shop. I got a flat white and then took a walk along the water. It was delightful. If I lived there I'd go regularly.
I'd recommend it and go back again.
The cafe is on the ground floor with a small lip into the main ordering area. I didn't use the bathroom so I cannot speak of its accessibility.

10/03/2025: I've eaten several times in Nevin Maguire's in Blacklion and Gather was equal to it. Food, wine and service was superb. I was 12 days without electricity and stayed with a pal in Headford. From Mayo.
02/02/2025: I feel sorry to write this review, but I do so in the hope that they will improve. The staff, especially the girls, were amazing—very kind and welcoming. However, the food was very disappointing. I received two very thin slices of beef (and I mean very thin), a quarter of an onion, a single 2mm slice of celeriac (which seemed more like decoration), and a small portion of potatoes that were raw and crunchy—I honestly couldn’t even tell what they were supposed to be. We had also 3 x 0,33 beers and all together paid bit less than 70. euros. Not worth, honestly reading all that different reviews i think it must have been different chef and i hope he will improve.

30/11/2024: This is a large pub, with multiple rooms and areas, and two entrances from the street. There is live music on many Saturday nights. This pub is lively at the weekend, there are often 21st or other parties present. There is a food wagon in the back yard, I think it's called Urban Fire, don't know much about it. Guinness is 5 euro at the moment, November 2024, seems to be a long-running offer, compared to 5.70 in some other pubs in Oranmore.

The food looks good and but taste and combination was very bad 🤢
Next few hours my stomach upset and I get vomits 🤮🤕🤒🤧 whole night no sleep.
Staff was friendly and pub has live music busy place
12/11/2024: Called in for dinner on our way through Clifden the food was very good! We had curry and the Shepard's pie. They have a nice enclosed area out the back of the pub to look out at the river too

14/03/2025: We regularly use Roots for catering for groups we have on training events. Anne Marie and her staff are very accomodating for special dietary requests even at short notice. The food is always delicious. Staff are very friendly and helful. Our groups are always full of praise for the lunches we get in Roots Loughrea. Venue is bright and spacious and prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend.

30/12/2024: Horrendously overpriced! Had fish pie: 20 euro 95 cents!!! Is this a joke? The pie was an ordinary fish pie, with a small salad. Was in a hurry so paid this outrageous price. If you are prepared to pay these prices you definitely have money to throw away. Lots of other restaurants in Clifden with good food at a more reasonable price.
