04/11/2024: A lovely pub that does very good food. Mussels and scampi particularly nice, while my husband also enjoyed the wings and the fish and chips. Staff very helpful. A great shout after a big walk

01/11/2024: Very busy but the food was excellent. 2 of us shared 3 starters, chowder, mussels and calamari. Calamari portion could have been a little bigger, but all 3 starters tasted great. Nice atmosphere in the pub and for a weekday, it was busy. Pub is in a lovely location in the heart ♥ of connemara with loads of wonderful places nearby to visit eg kylemore Abbey, Cleggan Harbour, omey Island, inagh valley and clifden 14kms away. Also diamond Hill a d connemara national park.

05/09/2024: This was our first time to stay we were there with our dog oscar everyone so friendly and helpful really enjoyed our stay there will be back for sure

06/08/2024: Just returned from yet another exceptional experience at this genuine Island gem which never falters in its over delivery in every aspect of what they do. There is an exceptional authenticity to the place which cannot be directed like a theatrical performance but must and does come from a much deeper place - generations of effortless hospitality professionals handing down the baton to eager clan waiting to accept and run with it. Thank you most sincerely to all the Doonmore team for being such a great staple to all of us in a world steeped in change for change sake rather than concentrating, like you guys do, on the importance of warmth and decent authenticity.

22/10/2024: The pizza out the back is delicious. Guinness is excellent. Staff really friendly. Nice big tv in open area out the back and plenty of seating areas through out pub.

26/10/2024: I had a lovely day out with my sister and didn’t want to complain and ruin our day, but shortly after lunch my tummy has been in a bind and upon thought I decided to write this review. I got a falafel wrap, with a leaf salad which was a sad little salad. My sister had a chicken sandwich, which has almost no chicken in it, it was hard to pick out the actual pieces of chicken to see was it really the right sandwich she was given. Two coffees and I paid €35 in total. It wasn’t worth it for money, and all around we left feeling defeated and will not be going here again. I hate to leave a bad review but my stomach is still bothering me, and the more I think about it I can’t believe I spent €35 on that “meal/experience”. Terrible

22/10/2024: After a casual stroll through the Craft Village where you’ll view terrific painting, pottery and other fine art studios you’ll find yourself at Builín Blasta Cafe & Bakery. Along with a home like atmosphere, all window seating and a super kind and friendly staff you can choose from a menu of uniquely local, fresh, healthy and delicious choices. It’s a must to end with one of their fabulous bakery items with a crafted coffee or tea. You know a place is very good when locals regularly eat there. What also makes this place special is to hear Conamara Gaeilge being spoken by regular An Spidéal locals. We love this place. Go hálainn!

24/10/2024: WHOLESOME! This place is the warmest most unique vibe I have ever had the pleasure to experience, it feels local, it is tiny but you hear different accents everytime you go in. This place is up there with the castle and heritage centre for best experience in Athenry. Warm friendly staff and patrons alike and the crepes are second to none and I used to work in Paris, I know a good crepe. Furthermore the ingredients are locally sourced and organic where possible, so if I had only one word to describe this gem I would say Wholesome

The menu offers a great variety of dishes, all cooked to perfection and generously portioned. We were especially impressed with how child-friendly the restaurant was, ensuring our little ones felt right at home. Overall, we had a fantastic meal and highly recommend Peggy's restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food in a welcoming environment. Five stars!"

27/10/2024: アラン諸島名物のロブスターをメインに、前菜としてアイルランド定番のシーフードチャウダーをいただきました。 ロブスターが美味なのはもちろん、シーフードチャウダーが絶品でした。 オーナー夫人によると、玉ねぎなどあらかじめ炒めず、フレッシュなまま煮込んでいるそうです。そのため変な脂っこさがなく、玉ねぎの風味がとても活かされていました。 サービスとフレンドリーで、観光客はもちろん、地元の漁師さんなどにも愛されているのもうなづけました。

11/10/2024: I had the pleasure of dining at a Lydons that has quickly become my new favorite spot for seafood. The mussels were simply divine. Perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, they were a true highlight of the meal. I was so impressed that we decided to return the very next day to try something different. The seafood pasta was a revelation. Every bite was a symphony of flavors. To round out our meal, we also tried the classic sandwich, which was equally delicious. The burger was delicious and the fillings were generous and flavorful. If you're a seafood lover, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

01/11/2024: This little corner is a gem! The drinks are incredible, the service particularly warm and the range of coffee-related products very high quality. To visit at all costs!!

30/10/2024: We randomly found this little cafe on our road and it was delightful! Nice selection of specialty coffee and the baristas were very kind. Definitely recommend!
