Basilico in Oranmore

You'll hardly believe it, but one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten... and I've been to Italy several times and even bake my own food. The other dishes were also of superb quality. And very good Italian coffee... and all this in the heart of Ireland! Fantastic! We went twice in a row because it was just so good. Highly recommended! ...The place is beautiful and cozy. The service was perfect. 👌

A fantastic restaurant. The pizza took less than 10 minutes and was one of the best vegan pizzas I've ever eaten. For dessert, I had vegan cheesecake. A big plus was that they had a separate vegan menu and not just a single option on the regular menu. The children's menu was also great, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. Even though the restaurant was full, we were served very quickly, and they kept checking on us right up until the end to see if we needed anything else. Thank you so much for this wonderful dinner.

Basilico is simply bellissimo. Its just an absolute beautiful restaurant and bar. Menu is exceptional with plenty of choices for all dietary requirements. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Arrived after the Galway Races without a booking and the staff couldn't of been any nicer. Excellent food and just a really good place for friends, couples, families. Thank you so much 💓

This was our favourite restaurant. We would stay in the hotel to dine there. I rated it highly (5 ,5, 4) 3 years ago. That has changed, though. Yesterday, my partner ordered a vegetarian pizza without cheese as she is vegan and the menu didn't offer any vegan food options. BTW, we noted in our reservation that one of us was vegan. Her pizza was a big disappointment: a somewhat saggy pizza with pieces of canned vegetables. There was no love in baking that pizza. My pizza was good but not outstanding. Although we liked our waitress, I will note that I had asked for slices of lime for our sparkling water. She brought us a glass of lime syrup, which was odd. When we wanted to pay, the owner (we believe) came with the card reading machine. There was no smile on his face and no thank you for the tip of €5 I added. On a side note: I hope the waitress gets that money. This was our fourth time there. The three other experiences were much better. I always had the impression that they cared about the food, which seemed authentic Italian. Let's hope that our fifth visit will prove the fourth to be an exception. I would like to give them a better rating next time because I love authentic Italian food. Further, veganism is nothing exotic anymore. I hope they will accommodate my partner better next time.

We dropped in at lunchtime on a sunny Irish day and we both chose a delicious goat’s cheese salad which came with a rustic bread and we really enjoyed it. Service was a little slow even though there were only four other tables in use. This may be due to the freshly made salads which were some of the bests we have had on our travels. Zero Guinness & a glass of wine x2 went down well. The staff were polite and friendly and the management would seem to run a very clean service throughout the various well-designed areas which impressed us both. WC etc Well done! My wife and I really enjoyed the food and the staff and service were outstanding

Had a lovely meal in Basilico, Oranmore. We had the goat’s cheese salad and the pasta of the day, and both were fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside and had plenty of shade under the parasol. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and we really enjoyed our visit. We would happily return.
