Nice hotel and restaurant, standard room that does the job for an overnight stay, breakfast, plentiful but basic

An excellent pub with good food and music half an hour outside Galway. Not a luxury place, but clean rooms and friendly staff.

I was here twice in the evenings. Wonderful location and good food. I was pleasantly surprised that, in addition to traditional Irish cuisine, they also offered things like fajitas. The Full Sail IPA is excellent.

As returning customers to Padraicin's we were disappointed with the portion size of the seafood chowder for the price we paid. While it had good taste the content of fish fell short of our expectations. The bowl of chowder given was equivalent to a mug size portion, and at a cost of €12.50 with only one slice of brown bread included - it was shrinkflation at its best and we couldn't help but feel ripped off.
The chips were good, fresh and plentiful , but again our conversation returned to making the comparison to our last visit there - and we determined if the bowls were swapped around for the chowder and chips we would have felt happier, more nourished and not so out of pocket for a measley portion of seafood chowder that didn't fill the gap at all....
In a positive note the young lad that served us did his best. He was helpful, obliging and courteous. A keeper for sure.
Overall there is room for improvement.

Amazing food and service! The portions of food were massive and we couldn't finish our food which is a first for me!

What a fantastic find in Furbogh. We had such a wonderful meal here and everything was absolutely delicious from start to finish.
The portions were generous and perfectly prepared. We especially loved the fresh mussels served in a large black pot. It is the kind of hearty, comforting food that hits the spot every single time. We will definitely be back soon.

Impromptu lunch with friends and was kind of taken aback by the prices. We went ahead and ordered anyways. Delighted we did. A trio of absolutely gorgeous fish tacos, homemade salsa, delicious homemade Mexican style rice, greens and fries. And they were devoured . Mates got mussells of which there were mountains of, and bacon and cabbage that was divine too.
Is it a tad more expensive than maybe the city centre......yes. is it worth it, absolutely.
Already looking forward to my next visit :)
Staff are lovely too , so accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu, as dietary requirements were needed.
Don't pass this iconic spot.
