Padraicins in

We stopped at Pádraicíns Gastropub for a quick bowl of seafood chowder while returning from Inis Mór. The location is very picturesque and the pub has a lovely setting, but unfortunately the chowder was disappointing. It was very thick and heavily loaded with sweetcorn, while there was very little fish or seafood. Perhaps we caught it on an off day, but based on the chowder alone, it wasn’t particularly memorable.

Great location, great service, food was okay, but not exceptional.

Stayed at the b&b only had breakfast but pancakes were delicious. Room was clean and comfortable, staff were nice

A great bowl of chowder, just not sure whether it should include sweetcorn, but it certainly had plenty of fish, shellfish and flavour. The service was excellent.

Food and service were great I had the oysters as entree and then the mussels, which all tasted very fresh. Others had the lasagne and salmon noodles, both also nice. Lots of options on the kids menu, which was fantastic. Kids enjoyed their sausages, chips and gravy, followed by a chocolate brownie sundae. The view was awesome, above a beach and coastline. It was a beautiful clear evening and we could see all the way to the Aran Islands.

The seafood chowder was the best I've ever had! And the view at sunset was stunning.

Beautiful views. Food was decent. Service was ok.

A perfect spot to enjoy good food, beautiful surroundings and a little bit of that seaside magic. ✨ Definitely worth a visit!
