Connemara Coast Hotel in Na forbacha

Our stay here was great! When you first walk in you realize how large and relaxing the property is. They offer to take the luggage to the room, bring ice to the room and assist you in any needs for your stay. The stand out staff member here was Jeeva. We wanted a table by the water and unfortunately we did not make reservations so we sat in the bar area. But luckily that’s where we had Jeeva as our server and her whole demeanor was kind. We asked for recommendations on the menu and everything was a home run. We even watched her trail after someone’s child that was off leash cleaning each Cheerio left by the beast on all fours and she did it with a smile. The only thing I will say is the room had some minor things I noticed, children finger prints on the glass in the room, sticky residue on the top of the inside part of a drawer and a tile was loose in the bathroom. But if you’re not neurotic like me you won’t even notice these things! Overall a 5/5.

The Connemara Coast Hotel delivers exactly what its name promises: a stunning setting right on the water, with views that made the stay memorable from the moment we arrived. Our room carried that same charm, offering its own lovely outlook along with a genuinely comfortable bed and quality bedding that made for restful nights after long days exploring. The one frustration was the shower's temperature control. Despite a label claiming it was preset to the optimal temperature, I found myself constantly adjusting between too hot and too cold, never quite landing on something comfortable. It's a small thing, but it's worth a mention since these overly engineered systems often end up less user-friendly than a simple dial. That minor gripe aside, everything else about the stay was excellent. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, the dinner and breakfast offerings were both very good, and the bar area had a lively, welcoming buzz to it in the evenings. The only other consideration is location: the hotel sits a little outside of town, so don't expect much in the way of nearby restaurants or shops if you're hoping to wander on foot. Overall, a wonderful stay with beautiful views, great food, and warm hospitality — just be patient with the shower.

Attended a wedding here recently after not visiting the venue for many years. I was delightful to see the rooms have been refurbished, but the character and friendliness I remembered roundly remained. I would be very happy to revisit in the future.

Lovely staff, location, facilities for all the family. Beach nearby plenty of parking. Plenty of places to visit within 1 hour. We enjoyed ourselves though the weather was a bit drizzle. 😀

Lovely midweek stay, excellent food and great service. It’s clear there is a great chef behind the scenes at this hotel. Check in was seamless with Stephanie, polite, courteous and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Dinner in the evening being served by Holly was delightful, she’s a credit to the establishment. I’d love to see the hotel invest in air conditioning and making all areas of the hotel accessible. Having said that we will definitely return. Thank you.

myself and my wife stayed for 2 nights for a wedding and have to say it was one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in. Location was beautiful and we had a fantastic view over galway bay. Service was second to none and all staff were attentive to your every request. Breakfast and bar food were excellent. My wife left some cosmetic room my mistake and they were posted immediately without having to pay. Will definitely return.As a wedding venue it was brilliant.

Fantastic place, beautiful scenery, very clean, friendly - very pretty with many amenities.

Stayed here last night, room was lovely, bar food was ok, breakfast was fine. No soda bread available which was a bit of let down. Main issue with my stay, I was staying in room 101 from 07:45 room cleaning staff were outside my room having full on conversations and banging equipment with no consideration for sleeping customers. There was a staff quarters beside my room as well, there was people going in and out of at all hours. Unfortunately I didn’t get much uninterrupted sleep because of the room position. The fantastic view from outside my bedroom door.

We recently held a private dinner event in the Aran Suite and could not fault a single thing, over 150 of us attended. From the very first enquiry, the planning process was smooth and stress-free. Killian listened carefully to every request we had and delivered on all of them. That kind of attentiveness makes such a difference when you're organising an event for a large group. The room was set up beautifully, the food was delicious, and the value for the quality on offer was exceptional. And those views. The Aran Suite looks out over Galway Bay , it genuinely adds something special to the whole occasion. The team throughout the evening were warm, professional, and nothing was too much trouble. The event was a real success and a big part of that was down to the Connemara Coast employees. We would not hesitate to return and would recommend it wholeheartedly for any private or group occasion.
