12/08/2025: Really lovely restaurant that I've visited twice in my short time in clifden. Had mussels and fries first night which were so tasty and fresh. Second time my husband and I had 2 starters with Guinness which he gave a top score for too. Lovely, friendly staff too.

21/07/2025: Beautiful hotel! The room was comfortable and clean, the staff was welcoming and very hospitable, and the food at the on-site restaurant was great. It is a bit isolated, but if you're staying for a night or two, it's absolutely perfect. Plus, many of the rooms have a balcony - a very nice touch!

21/07/2025: Beautiful hotel. Spacious room, lovely setting. Easy check in. Friendly staff. Super clean, even the tv remote was in a plastic protector!! Used the leisure centre which was relaxing. Evening meal was gorgeous. Lovely spacious areas to sit and relax on all floors. Can not fault our stay.

14/08/2025: This Roundstone restaurant offers simple but well-prepared dishes. We had moules marinière, oysters au gratin, crab claws, and crème brûlée to finish. The service is impeccable and the value for money is excellent.

29/08/2025: I booked the fairy pig walk and planned to propose to my boyfriend as he really loves pigs. Mary was amazing and helped me organize everything. She sent me videos beforehand so that I knew where to go with him, let Emilia the pig deliver the ring to my boyfriend and took pictures and videos for us. We got to do the walk, meet all of the other animals and even got to meet the piglets. Marys and Roys kindness made this day special and we will always remember it with a smile. Thank you for everything!

26/08/2025: From the moment we entered, Mary made us feel so welcome and meet us on the car park. My daughter Emelia is obsessed with pigs so this was her dream come through. Emelia got to meet Emilia the pig. Emilia was very calm on the fairy walk and Mary has her well trained to stop for pictures and videos. We then went to meet Apollo the pig and learnt how to brush and act around the mini pigs. We then went into the mini pigs which were so friendly and loved a belly rub. We meet the other animals and fed them they were all so friendly. Thank you we had the best day ever , ten out of ten ❤️🐷🐽🥰

01/08/2025: What a wonderful experience! The pork I ordered was just perfect; the really large portion cooked just how I like it. My partner had the carrots. I tasted one (or 2 or 3) and they were delicious. A lively spot with an incredible view and friendly, obliging staff. I'll be back one day!

12/08/2025: FLORENCE: I enjoyed a lovely stay in Carrown Tober House with my son and daughter. Mary was very welcoming and so kind, so attentive to the needs of my daughter with special needs. She served us a delicious breakfast. The bedrooms are immaculate and very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

25/07/2025: We spent a wonderful few days in this house and enjoyed the hospitality of Mary and Gerry. The house is very centrally located, just five minutes from the small town of Oughterard. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with a spacious bathroom and bathtub. For breakfast, you can choose from Irish and continental specialties. We would happily recommend this house.

01/08/2025: A dog friendly, dog loving cafe that delivers on all fronts - excellent coffee, delicious toasties, dog biscuits for furry friends and spotless facilities. Highly recommend a visit especially with your dog.

01/08/2025: Lovely Americano with cream. I got it on me and the guy came out IMMEDIATELY with a napkin and more cream. He was also very funny. Visiting from America and the coffee is as good as I’ve had. Great coffee, great service, and a cozy atmosphere. Easy 5 stars.

06/09/2025: Stopped in for fish and chips. We ordered the bear battered fish and chips that cost a whopping 21€ each. When the fish arrived to the table a very short time after ordering we were a bit shocked to see a wafer thin piece of cod that had been overcooked beyond belief. The cod itself was dry and FULL of bones whist also being slightly cold even though it looked it was cooked on the sun. The chips were also cold so I guess it’s not cooked when ordered? The service was ok in the bar, good location but would expect a hell of a lot better considering the prices. We both left unsatisfied with the meal and ended up in supermacs that had actual eatable food!

25/08/2025: Amazing! I can absolutely confirm all the positive reviews. The food was great - the stew I had was just wonderful. The staff were SO lovely too, I recommend this place 100%!! Easily 5 stars. All the bars in Clifden are very nice and worth a visit though! With the only exception of Griffins bar in which I was deeply dissappointed and traumatised by. Just see their google reviews for yourself.

20/07/2025: I've been going to Pádraicín's for years, but this was my first time in about 12 months. Beyond disappointing. This place has gone downhill big time. Firstly, wrong order arrived so we'd to wait for one of the dishes. The food was only mediocre and not like previous meals - it is sadly far, far below previous standards. They must have a new chef or kitchen team or new management or something, because something drastic has happened. Then, we were left 25 minutes after finishing our meals before anyone came to collect our plates and we had to actually go and seek out the staff and ask them to clear our table and ask them for desert menus. They never asked us if we'd like tea or coffee and again we had to seek out staff for this. The food isn't cheap and previously I never minded paying that bit more as it was so good. As someone who has been coming here for decades, I won't be back. I would avoid here in the future.

19/07/2025: Went here for the 1st time in a long time. Was really disappointed in the the drop in quality. Chowder very thick and a small portion. Battered fish was more batter than fish. Nothing was terrible but for the prices it left a sour taste.

10/09/2025: Great chowder and wings. Prompt service and friendly staff. Would def recommend. Very reasonably priced specials on the menu.

02/08/2025: La comida era muy agradable, el vino era encantador y crujiente. La comida sabía fresca y muy bien presentada. Pan de focaccia encantador, casero y fresco. Mi único problema es la hospitalidad. Delante de la casa joven mujer es muy grosero. Por suerte no tuvimos que lidiar demasiado con ella ya que estábamos sentados detrás del restaurante. El hombre mayor que nos atiende no tuvo la mejor recepción, ya que estamos incomodándolo. Sin embargo, algunos miembros del personal eran muy amables, una chica pelirroja joven increíble servicio. Algunos miembros del personal son incómodos de estar cerca, en particular la parte delantera de la casa femenina que marcó el tono desde el primer minuto de nuestra experiencia aquí.

20/07/2025: I had the worst seafood pasta ever! Prawns was hard and tasted like paper disguasting and old, calmars very chewy, mussels was good and this all for over 23e. We have a very good memories from this place, that why it was very disappointing after what we get today. We have to wait for a menu because the waiters watch the match in tv. Long time waiting for a food. You can get better pizza in supermacs. Chefs is not Italian for sure. Or he just don't care. Never again. Overrating!!! Highly recommend the cocktails ,the only good thing in this place.
