Marconi Restaurant in Clifden

There were 10 of us in the group. Different dishes ordered and every dish exceptional. The service couldn’t be faulted. The birthday cake, which we left in earlier, was carried out by the dining room manager, followed by all our table waiters/ waitresses all singing happy Birthday, much to the delight of our 90 year old cousin. The staff had decorated the cake with their own candles, which was a lovely touch

A fantastic restaurant with excellent menus and perfect service. We've even been there twice. It's best to make a reservation.

We really loved this restaurant! We had such exceptionally wonderful food! We especially loved the mussels with coconut broth and the sole! The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are terrific! We will definitely come back the next time we are in Clifden - which we hope is soon!

Delicious food, great service, music a bit loud

Visited a few months back whilst working just outside of Clifden. Initially sceptical with the old fashion styling with it being very quiet too, it soon picked up and was soon bustling with locals and tourists. Some good mussels in a Thai style broth maybe slightly in the sweeter side could have handled a bit more chilli but that’s just to taste. The Sole was solid and the sides that come as standard were a great touch and far too much for me even as a 6foot plus man who enjoys good food. Service was prompt without being over attentive. I’d definitely return if I was ever back in the area.

Good service should prevent guests from making a mistake when ordering, instead of just praising everything as "Excellent." The lamb ribs with mint sauce absolutely must be ordered "pink"; because the chef didn't quite get "well-done" right, they were just tough and dry. Another culinary disappointment on our holiday.

Lovely old world restaurant with classic dishes well cooked and served with efficiency and a smile. Sole was a standout. Fillet was excellent. A dinner experience to be recommended.
