Fabulous meal here, highly recommend. Staff are very nice and friendly. Husband really enjoyed the local beer.

Thoroughly impressed. We ordered the mussels, I had the lamb and my partner had the duck. Everything was cooked perfectly. The portion sizes were insanely large, the value of this establishment is incredible. The service beat the Michelin star (Homestead Cottage) we went to the night previous by miles. The atmosphere was traditional, it was mostly middle aged / more older crowd but felt trust worthy for a local and more authentic experience. However, the service was vibrant and not stuffy. Highly highly recommend.

We stayed at the Foyle's Hotel and had dinner at this restaurant, followed by breakfast the next morning. The service was impeccable, very friendly and efficient. The food was truly excellent, without being overpriced. The setting is beautiful; a very pleasant surprise indeed.

Foyles Hotel and The Marconi restaurant were perfect. The ambience, the staff, the surroundings were all one could ask for in ensuring a most relaxing and homely break. Would definitely recommend and will be back. A sincere thank you to all of you .

25/07/2026: Tipping in Ireland is not like the U.S. (unless you eat here). First place in 4 trips to Ireland that “automatically add 10% gratuity” and unlike the states, where automatic gratuities are added when the party size is 6 or more people, this is added regardless of party size. I always tip when here anyway, so not a big deal, just never saw that anywhere but here. Food was wonderful, service good. Our first time here MANY years ago was to a bar… they have redone the place since and completely different vibe as mainly a restaurant with a tiny bar.

01/07/2026: Highly recommended! A lovely, cozy, and welcoming restaurant with a menu that focuses on fish. Between the oysters and the salmon, which to choose? Both are delicious! And the main course... the fish was perfectly cooked and fresh. Yum! Everything was perfect. Oh yes, it seems to be a popular spot, so it's best to make a reservation.
27/06/2026: We booked Mitchell’s restaurant on the recommendation of friends. The ambience was super and had a gallery feel. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only disappointment was the main course which had no flavour. The crab salad starter was very tasty and the chocolate dessert scrumptious. Very cosy restaurant especially on a cloudy Friday June evening.
