Mannions Seafood Bar & Restaurant in Clifden

From the minute we walked in, we loved everything! There was fabulous trad music and a wonderful welcome. Caroline and the team were so welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious, fresh and sourced from local suppliers. Loved it!

Seafood looked very good. A bit dissapoined with the lamb stew , had better in other restaurants. The chicken curry with vegetables was disappointing Service and ambiance was perfect .

Flying visit to Clifden and dropped in here for a quick bite to eat. Early bird, 2 courses for €27.95, fish and burgers. Quick service. The only reason why it's not a 5 star review is because when I went to pay the bill the waitress had already included a 10% gratuity - there was only two of us. I'm always happy to reward good service, I'm happy to tip, but forcing the issue is not something I've seen before. Even though there was no obligation. Maybe it's just a done thing there. Aside from that it was grand.

If I could give it 6 stars, I would. An exceptional, typical Irish pub/restaurant with refined cuisine and impeccable service. The waitresses are very friendly; despite our limited English, they were always attentive and helpful. Thank you ☺️

I got the fish and chips and they were wonderful! I also got the sticky toffee pudding. The only thing warm was the chocolate sauce. It was like the took the toffee pudding out of a room temperature pan and placed it on a fancy tray and heated up chocolate sauce from a microwave and poured it on top. The staff were friendly and patient as I struggled a little bit with one of the accents.

We arrived around 7:45 pm on a Wednesday evening. The welcome was very warm… We hadn't booked, but it was outside of school holidays, so no problem… Even though we don't speak English very well, the young woman made the effort to explain things to us in simple terms… T-bone steak/scallops with smoked bacon/mussels… Everything was delicious… We had a very pleasant time

We had a wonderful evening at Mannions! We came for their specialty, the stew, and also enjoyed other seafood dishes on the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were very warmly welcomed. Highly recommended!

Very good traditional Irish pub/restaurant! I had the best mussels of my life! And my boyfriend had excellent seafood linguine. Simple yet amazing seafood there.

Excellent pub. We ate there with our two children and thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend it.
