The staff are the best in the country. I had a small accident climbing a mountain and they could not have done more for me. Other hotels could take lessons.

Rooms are clean and pretty standard. The service however is something they can brag about. Staff go out of their way to make their guests feel like VIPs. Amazing service. And the restaurant ! Fantastic! Delicious. We were lucky enough to enjoy a piano player in the lounge. All that said, I have to mention the manager. Young for the position, he is the gem that makes the stay there incredible. Always on the run, he finds time to make sure every guest feels incredible. Amazing man, the hotel should hold on to him with everything they have!

Lovely stay at hotel with a three course dinner and breakfast. Room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Hotel facilities incl gym and pool were excellent. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely and staff were fantastic. During stay there was an issue with water in the area but hotel facilities were almost unaffected and even given extra bottled water in room.

A hidden gem is the Clifden Station House hotel. The food was tasty and service was excellent exactly what you would be expecting from the very friendly and helpful team. Rooms are just perfect. The only down side if I was to fault anything (sorry) is to change on or two of the plugs in the bed rooms with USB ports as my phone charger is on the bottom of my plug which couldn't fit into the socket. Thanks.

We had an amazing 3 days in Clifden Station House over Christmas. Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful and made our stay more special. 2 dining areas which we tried and both were superb. Live music also in the bar which was lovely. We can't wait to come back.

30/03/2024: Update March 2024: The Lamplight has added breakfast/brunch on the weekends and weekdays over the summer. They are open a bit earlier than other places which is nice if you're more of an early riser. The food is also more upscale and updated. Breakfast is hard to find in town and this is a great addition to this awesome little spot From Jan 2022: Truly one of the best dining experiences I've had. We've eaten at the Lamplight once before in Fall 2021. That time, we had an amazing wine and ambiance experience and the food was good. Tonight (January 2022), was just exceptional. The wine selection was impeccable and the food superb. Our server, Ivan, was friendly and knowledgeable. Every bite of food tasted well planned and created with pride. We loved it so much we booked again for this weekend. If you are in Clifden, love amazing food and wine, this is the place to go. Great atmosphere and even better dining.
30/03/2024: If you haven’t been to this wonderful restaurant yet, get your glad rags on immediately! This is the best restaurant with top quality food and wonderful staff! The food was incredible and extremely reasonable for the best mouthwatering food I’ve had in a long time. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
