04/08/2025: Brilliant location, spotless, with fantastic friendly staff and wonderful food. They can't do enough for their guests.

30/07/2025: Beautiful, cozy place in the heart of the village of Cong. Ideal for starting your stay in Connemara. The restaurant dishes and breakfast are generous but not excellent.

28/08/2025: Loved stopping off here for lunch on our drive around Connemara! We had soup of the day, the chowder and shared the cod goujons special. The chowder was particularly amazing!!!

20/08/2025: Food was Really nice though the fish batter was a bit soggy. All servers were friendly except one. Was quite unprofessional and rude. But overall was a nice experience.

12/08/2025: Excellent service, exaggerated prices but in line with those you will find along the entire West Atlantic Way, it rips off tourists.

20/08/2025: Very pleasant setting. The service is attentive and very friendly. I recommend the lamb, which is very good, with all the accompanying dishes at no extra charge. In short, very good.

14/08/2025: The Marconi feels like stepping back to a time when Irish hotels exuded hospitality and generosity. The food was simple and well executed, with enormous dinner portions. Bread basket was a lovely selection of spiced, tomato and brown breads. I asked for more. My main was the largest duck serving ever created. Certainly more than one breast and possibly more than one duck! The sides were potato dauphinoise, potato fries and steamed veg. The starters were a mixed bag - duck spring roll was dry but nice enough. The mussels had a wonderful coconut broth and the cheese options were generous and tasty. The main gripe was the under-saucing of every dish - large portions need appropriate sauces. We ate in the garden room, at a table tucked away around the corner, next to the windows and was great spot.

15/07/2025: Nice place, kind staff, you can sit inside or at the backyard terrace, good coffee and hearty food. We'll definitely come back again.

21/08/2025: Our 3rd time staying in this hotel, and we had another lovely stay.the refurbished outside ,lobby bar and restaurant was done to a very high standard. Really added to our stay having somewhere to relax in the evening. The live music that was on both nights if our stay was really enjoyable. It was very chilled and relaxing not at all overpowering for the room and I think the choice of music was perfect to add to the hotel vibe. We really enjoyed breakfast with the mix of buffet and made to order. Staff were all very friendly.The rooms are very comfortable,classic and clean. The hotel is a stones throw from the town and then short drives from amazing beaches. A really great hotel all round.

15/07/2025: Overall my stay was nice! When I arrived there was a computer issue that was causing issues for the staff, but they were still prompt, kind and helpful. Because the system was down, I was personally shown to my room (I appreciated the team’s ability to stay calm and organized during the system outage). The room was nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size! The breakfast served was great. There was a variety of options and the servers were kind and attentive. I would stay here again!

28/07/2025: We called in for breakfast and the food was lovely. I tried the homemade Bircher which was delicious followed by their breakfast brioche bap which was also lovely. Great service for all the staff.

24/06/2025: Popped into a couple of places in clifden and staff were all rude , couldn’t believe it … then I came across this gem …. Staff were gorgeous cakes all homemade real nostalgic and the coffee is excellent ❤️❤️ avoid the other places and go to steam

08/07/2025: What a first night in Ireland amazing Guiness, atmosphere and live music (Monday nights apparently) it was too good to be true.

09/05/2025: Great pub for all ages. They've brought in amazing pizza, which is a game changer, but it was great before that. Has just become a more cosy family environment with good food as well. We visit Kinvara every year or two, and it never loses that traditional Irish pub feel. Friendly staff, good music, lovely pints, nice folks around. Would recommend. ❤️

15/08/2025: 10/10. Visiting from Ontario, Canada. Dave was a real gem! His coffee recommendations and execution were spot on. The maple bacon bagel was excellent. Atmosphere and service was top notch. Definitely check this place out!!

01/08/2025: Hands down the best full Irish breakfast around, nothing comes close, I would love to give 5 stars on that alone, But one Saturday we arrived at 11:45 and was told breakfast is finished, I’m a stickler for detail, so why advertise breakfast until 12? It should read “last orders for breakfast 11:30”, I ended up having to order from the afternoon menu, which was ok. if an establishment has a full Irish breakfast that good it should be an all day menu item..

06/07/2025: Went on a Saturday. Food was good and most of the staff were lovely. One staff member’s attitude let the experience down but Still, I’d recommend it overall.
