We popped in for an early dinner at The Bar and had a great time. The proprietor was friendly and chatty and the food was excellent. Two generous salads and some great spring rolls. The place filled up quickly at dinner time (we were there in mid summer), so get there early to secure a table.

It would have been so easy to make this an overpriced tourist trap, but they didn’t. The food is amazing. Better than high end restaurants we’ve visited. 👏 to doing the right thing and doing it well.

Who wouldn't want to stop at a place called The Bar? The staff were friendly and the seafood chowder was delicious. I also accidentally left my phone and they were super nice to keep it safe until I returned for it.

Stopped in for lunch on a day trip, and very happy we did. The food was fantastic, and the young man at the bar was a doll. All of the walls are covered in history. Definitely stop in for a pint and check it out!
