Called in for fish and chips at Tigh Mheaic and wasn't disappointed. The fish was excellent, fresh and properly cooked. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere on top of that. Well worth a stop if you're in Carna.

We were warmly welcomed with our dog. The place is really clean with a nice selection of classic pub food. The warm meals hit the spot after a walk in the Irish weather. Definitely recommended when visiting the area.

I never expected a pub to have good food, let alone vegan food but apparently an Irish pub is a whole different animal. The bruschetta was phenomenal and the lentil stew was tasty. Could have used rice or a side or bread but overall, good flavor. Considering it’s a pub, it was a total surprise to find anything vegan although they do confuse vegan and vegetarian here…you just have to say no dairy and define dairy. πŸ˜†

The Station House Hotel

11/06/2026: I am writing this review specifically because of one of your staff members Becca. Vibrant fun and full of energy - I have years of experience working in hospitality and also attending weddings and she is genuinely a super star and knows how to engage and have fun. Best of luck with everything and do not lose your shine! In terms of the venue I was blown away I fell in love with it, and within seconds knew we will be booking this venue for our big day I would say service was good, friendly and experienced. Again Becca stole the show - nothing worse than an NPC serving at a wedding and becca was the main character (bar the bride and groom) not a paid ad. Just seriously impressed.
10/06/2026: Fantastic area to visit amd amazing hotel to stay a long relaxing week or weekend. Would recommend to friends amd family who enjoy the best of what's to offer here.

Hunter's Hotel

11/06/2026: We had a wonderful experience in Hunters hotel . We stayed for two nights and had breakfast and dinner . Rooms were beautiful and the food was delicious. I cannot fault this hotel in any way. I would highly recommend it for old fashioned charm and courtesy. We were treated so well by Katha and Eva who are both a credit to this wonderful establishment. Of course the gardens are an absolute delight. We can't wait to return .
25/05/2026: The absolute best hotel on our tour of Ireland! Completely uniquely decorated, super friendly service, and top-notch cuisine. It had a bit of a Miss Marple film feel to it :-)
