I have been going to Davis’s since I was a child and the food has always been nice but they’re being stingy now. The amount of veg you get for a dinner for the price is outrageous. Got rid of bread at the start. The two girls who were serving us were lovely. The manager was a bit cold though who should small talk elderly staff more.

It’s a hugely successful restaurant where you will get good quality food. The issue is that prices have doubled and the food quality has slipped somewhat. The menu choice has gotten smaller, the two choices I’ve always gone with in the past along with others have disappears and the basket of bread that came to the table before the meal is not provided, but the bill is higher. It was a very special place to go for family occasions but it’s lost its edge and has become more akin to a road side diner… Paying the bill was an issue, you’ll be asked to go to the bar, and or maybe the counter where the cashier is… so all the push back is in the customer… if you go that direction, just franchise a Red Robin and make it pay at the table… Disappointing from what it was in the past, over priced for what it is now but you will get a good meal…

Pound for pound, one of the best quality restaurants in Ireland. I've eaten here may times with a range if people of all ages it always comes up trumps. Ultra professional service, top quality food and a lovely clean modern space. Easy access and parking. PS. try the profiteroles
