Raftery's Rest

19/02/2026: Had a delightful breakfast here with a pint of coors, slugged it back quick and my server Niamh was most complimentary! ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ The breakfast was delicious hit that spot I was looking for a felt like a fat pig rolling out of the gaff!! The Service was top class not too long but also not too quick so I knew it was fresh ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ. Donโ€™t even get me started on them beans ๐Ÿซ˜ All the best a very happy customer ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ
16/02/2026: A very cozy place with great staff and service. Good Irish coffee. We liked it. So I can recommend it. A great restaurant on the side of a busy road.

The Boathouse

21/03/2026: We were at Redcastle last weekend and The Boathouse was recommended, we werenโ€™t disappointed, Stuart and his team couldnโ€™t have been any more helpful, they went above and beyond making sure everything was ok for us, the food was delicious Definitely be back, ๐Ÿ’ฏ all round, Thank you Stuart you run a good Ship (boat) ๐Ÿ˜‰ Jacqueline & Eugene (Very Happy Customers)
16/03/2026: Booked a table for four for Mother's Day as my wife, a vegetarian, had seen their menu and was impressed with the variety of veggie options. With a nearly 3-year old and one under 1, I was a bit hesitant to book at such a nice place. Stewart and his team were beyond welcoming. We were checked in with regularly, they engaged with the kids, gave us a prime seat with a view (instead of tucked in a back corner as has happened elsewhere), and we genuinely felt like honored guests. The food itself was great. Their set menu for the day was pretty standard, but the flavors were definitely more complex than what you'd find in other restaurants/pubs in the area. My only near regret was not splitting a dessert with my wife. We each got our own (sticky toffee pudding and apple rhubarb crumble both 5/5), and were then too full for nibbles later in the evening. Thank you Boathouse for a wonderful meal. We'll be back.
