We went on a Saturday night and the music was fantastic! Two young musicians from music school, a flautist and a guitarist/singer, played a mix of popular Irish music and traditional instrumental music. It was really good!
And of course, a nice pint of Guinness went perfectly with it!

Wraps were swimming in grease.. Service was friendly, fast and, for a pub, perhaps a bit cold. The atmosphere was also odd. Golf was being projected on a projector. Not your average pub sports, but ok.

If you are looking for redemption in a glass, look no further than Sarah behind the bar at McGraths. What she delivers is not just a drink; it is a masterclass in Irish heritage, physics, and liquid perfection. This pint belongs in a museum.First, the pour. Sarah treats the tap with the reverence of a high priestess. She angles the clean, cool glass at a flawless 45 degrees, pulls the handle, and fills it precisely three-quarters of the way. Then comes the magic. She rests the glass on the counter for the mandatory 119.5 seconds. Watching the dark ruby body surge and settle under her watchful eye is pure poetry. The finish is flawless. Sarah pushes the tap handle back for the top-up, creating a proud, creamy dome that sits perfectly over the rim of the glass. The head is thick, dense, and so beautifully white it looks like fresh snow on the Twelve Bens. Not a single drop is spilled. The taste is absolute heaven. The texture is incredibly smooth, velvety, and rich, with the perfect balance of roasted malt and creamy sweetness. Every single gulp leaves a flawless ring of white lace down the side of the glass, a testament to a perfectly clean line and an expert pour.Sarah hands it over with a proud smile, knowing she has just achieved stout perfection. Arthur Guinness is smiling down on Clifden. If you find yourself in McGraths, find Sarah, order a pint, and prepare to have your expectations ruined for any other drink, anywhere else in the world.

We just had a fantastic evening at this pub. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly, and what musical talent! We loved it ❤️ The bad weather in Ireland is quickly forgotten when you have the chance to discover places like this.
