Excellent burgers and fries, very friendly people!

We really enjoyed our steak here, service is great. The only thing one could complain about is the volume (rather noisy) and the distractions from the TV screens, but still 5 stars.

A little disappointed in service. We came there back in 2024 for week of visiting family and service was nothing short of great and they handled a large group of us (8) and took us in after 8:30 for dinner. This time around they refused us after we spent a late day coming in from states for a family visit. Thought COVID had soften the strict hours that most venues in the area had in 2018 and thought we would have the same experience. We went back on Sunday around 7ish and staff seemed in a rush to get us in and out. Gave us menus and then 4 minutes later asked us if we were ready to order. We asked for a few minutes to review the menu and waitress seemed a little taken back. Did notice they were clearing all the tables and put items away on stations. Last time we paid thru the waitress and this time we had to go up to thebar and pay. Has management changed their policy?

Great value, large portions, tasty. Glad we chose Porterhouse. Miso caramel brownie with salted caramel ice cream lovely. Braised shin of beef (loads) mash, carrots, parsnip, broccoli and red wine gravy. Fish and chips was excellent . Quick, friendly service.

Tried it for dinner. The atmosphere and food were typical, the staff very friendly and attentive, the cuisine excellent, the portions generous, and the prices fair. Worth a try. Reservations recommended; it was quite crowded on a weekday.

To Alan and all the wonderful staff thank you so much for the absolutely fantastic food and company as always. To anyone who has yet to sample the Porterhouse you will be in for a treat.If you are just visiting for the 1st time or or on holidays or even an event you will leave here with the sense of being part of a very special family. The service was great, but the food wasn't great. I ordered pasta with chicken and bacon, and the pasta was dry, had no sauce, and was tasteless. My husband ordered a ribeye, and the meat wasn't cooked the way he asked for either. But the waitstaff were very friendly.

Highly recommend visiting here for lunch or dinner, we were highly impressed with the food and the guy front of house was a pleasure 👌👌
