Visiting Ireland for 12 days and this was a priority stop on the tour! Food, service, atmosphere, and nostalgia were better than expected! Also, got a pic at the infamous bar!! Cheers!

Very friendly staff, I ate an excellent wild Connemara venison casserole, the meat was more than excellent, shame that the mash was made with margarine instead of butter, such a good dish deserved a buttered mash!

O M G !! The best fillet steak I have eaten anywhere in the world, cooked to perfection !! The location is fantastic, the staff are friendly and delightful. We felt so spoilt.

Excellent food in a traditional pub. We chose this place because it was the only one we found that accepted our dog. The salmon and beef fillet were very well cooked, and the mint cheesecake and brownie were delicious for dessert.

The Crowe's Nest

09/08/2026: We were staying in the adjacent Premier Inn so had both our evening meal and breakfast in The Crows Nest. Food was great for pub grub. The service was faultless and the staff were fantastic. The restaurant is looking very tired and tatty but given the fact that it's probably closing soon and is for sale, I'm not surprised. It will be a shame to see it go if that's the case as it's been a local favourite for decades.
06/08/2026: Use this venue for an early meal on the afternoon menu to get the best value out of it.
