Top notch Pub with the best seafood chowder on the island…..seriously!!! Oysters are fantastic and come with a fancy cover of roe as well. The service was spectacular especially Ashling!!! Timothy

We booked this restaurant before we came to Cong based on the reviews. Lovely staff very pleasant. The food was poor the fish and chips Luke warm,the ginger , coconut chicken curry was ok chicken was tough. Our son had chicken gougons and chips they were terrible hard and sour taste. We were upstairs it is lovely , another customer there at the time was so loud in conversation it was annoying. Very disappointed with this place.

I have been coming to the area for a few years now, I have eaten in most if not all the local pubs/restaurants and i was impressed but how busy and lively the place was, this is the 3rd day iv been here and the 2nd iv had food, scallops, oysters and Duck brest. Tasty fresh and well presented. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The owner is a wealth of knowledge with regards to whisky, specifically Irish whiskey. Really well taken care. Very well run establishment. Highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant set in a fab location. The food was just superb, as was the service. The red snapper dish I had was just outstanding and we will definitely be back.

Visitamos Pat Cohan's con la familia a mediados de mayo, estábamos sentados enseguida en la zona de arriba, que es muy único con la parte delantera de la casa de paja. Pedí la ensalada de calamares como plato principal y mi marido pidió el filete de lomo. Mi Calamari estaba tan fresco, que disfruté hasta el último bocado y mi marido comentó lo bueno que era un corte de filete que le sirvieron. El personal era muy amable y servicial. No podíamos afrontar el postre ya que todavía estábamos rellenos de nuestra red. Espero volver a probar algo diferente en el menú, ya que otros dentro de nuestra fiesta recomendaron el pescado rebozado y la hamburguesa de pollo.

Really enjoyed my fish and chips but my Aunt found the duck under done and very tough. She said it immediately to multiple servers but all she was told was "I'll tell the chef No effort was made to remedy it at all.

Absolutely SUPERB!!! Okay, we're fans of John and Quiet Man but this was an extraordinary place to visit. Took some photos of my family outside and in. Owners/two fellas working there was awesome. Told us to pop upstairs for more photos/etc. (all photos contain people so not going to upload, sorry). We got a bit of story about John and the rest who visited and had a beer here. It was a pleasure to be here - and we couldn't be happier. Sure, it's a tourists trap and we didn't care :) Beer was great and the food was superb. I had their chicken burger which might sound dull but it was so tasty! IF ever we're in this part of Ireland again then we'll be back. Thank you to the two guys for making us English very welcome. Ireland is truly a special place and YOU MUST VISIT this bar!!!
