Worth a visit. It's about a 2.5-hour drive from Sligo. A magnificent abbey. Nuns still live there, so some areas are closed. Parking is convenient, and the restrooms are clean. The Irish lamb stew at the restaurant is delicious.

This was a spur of the moment trip on our vacation, and it turned out to be the highlight. The camera does not do the area justice. It’s a majestic place that you have to see in person. The mountains are magnificent, paired with the beautiful castle, again the camera doesn’t begin to capture it.

Amazing experience, would highly recommend a visit. We arrived for 10.15 on a Sunday and spent the day exploring, and attending the history talks to learn more about Kylemore. Had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant, walked to the walled garden, there is a shuttle bus, but we walked, had coffee and cake in the Tea Rooms.

A lovely trip down memory lane. We were with our boys, the older of whom was a baby when we first visited. He's a grown man, an Australian-trained arborist, and loves the grounds. Just one niggle - the wifi needs to be extended to the car park if people are to buy tickets online.

The grounds, the abbey, and the gardens were amazing. Lots to see!

Expensive. Worth doing but leave your money in the car. Go to veldons in letterfrack for food.

A beautiful abbey with typical Irish architecture, situated on the edge of a lake. A truly charming place, perfect for spending a few hours enjoying the verdant surroundings.

Beautiful place, better to spend whole day not just few hours. There’s shop and restaurant, old church, gardens, lake. Peaceful and quiet. Have been there 4 or 5 times and would like to visit again. Dont miss buying Kylemore Abbey county cream
