14/11/2025: We had our wedding reception at McDermott’s Pub, and it was absolutely perfect! The vibe was warm and lively, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was beyond delicious—every single dish was amazing. The live music was top notch and really brought the whole celebration to life. From start to finish, they made our special day unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate!

19/10/2025: Really lovely country pub. Visited with the Irish Subaru Drivers Club as a final stop in our Doolough valley run. The food was immensely tasty, and there's a huge amount of room in the back for dining, as well as a huge terrace overlooking the beautiful scenery as a smoking area. I got roast lamb and spuds, and it was absolutely beautiful. Well worth the spin.

01/11/2025: In a world speeding up with seeming indifference to strangers and travelers on the rise, the Coach House Hotel stands alone in defense of the old ways. People matter here, as you'll be able to tell from the moment you step through their doors. Everything in my room was very clean and comfortable, and every single staff member I encountered went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care with a smile. And the food, well, it was one of the best meals I've had in the whole of Ireland. You can tell a master at work when such seemingly simple ingredients as chicken and potatoes are not only presented so beautifully but clearly cooked with love and attention to detail. I will be going out of my way to come back as often as possible.

11/11/2025: The absolute best chicken sandwich I have ever had. The rest of the family love the burgers. It's a treat to drop in for a quick meal. The staff's helpful and friendly. Not a lot of seating, chairs aren't the most comfortable, but the food makes up for it.

30/10/2025: Great pub, we just had drinks on our way to Valentia island. We stop as my mum was a bit car sick, they were very friendly and helpful. The two ladies working gave us amazing recommendations of the local area

26/11/2025: Great restaurant in Nenagh, Tipperary. I was there for an evening meal. The customer service was excellent, a very nice choice of meals on the menu for both the starter and main courses. Something for everyone. The food was well presented and was very tasty and delicious. Good selection of desserts and drinks. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

05/12/2025: The smell alone should qualify as a health hazard... I don’t know what’s happened to Grogans, but the place absolutely reeks. The second you walk in, you’re hit with a wall of stale sweat, old beer, and something that can only be described as wet dog meets forgotten mop bucket. It’s like they’ve made “smell of neglect” part of the décor. The floors are sticky, the tables feel like they haven’t been properly cleaned since the Celtic Tiger, and the whole place gives off the vibe of a pub that gave up decades ago. Even the pints taste like they’ve absorbed the atmosphere, which is not a compliment. There are plenty of great pubs in Dublin. This is not one of them. Unless you enjoy smelling like a defeated brewery for the rest of the day, avoid.

01/12/2025: Maybe the most amazing place in all of Ireland but certainly Dalkey Village! Had surf and turf (x2), beet salad, arancini, and desserts. Nothing was less than excellent. A complicated service held together nicely by the hostess. Even if this place didn’t have great food, the service and atmosphere would carry the day. Reminded me of my favorite neighborhood places in New Orleans. Thanks for the lovely food and great service.

30/10/2025: Went here on recommendation and weren't disappointed. I had the Pork Belly Noodles, my wife had the Monkfish Scampi and my son the Smash Burger. He was mightily impressed with onion ring inside the 🍔. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely go back. Top place.

14/10/2025: Fantastic place! It would have a Bib Gourmand for sure if it was in a metro population area. Bob runs a great shop, Chef is very creative and has a great menu. The cocktails and wine list is top notch. If you are anywhere near the Buncrana/inishowen area, you have to visit this place, I can assure that you won't be disappointed.

16/11/2025: BEST DINNER IN KILLARNEY!!! John Cronin has service down to a master class- our server Helen was excellent. Started w/ seafood chowder…..a top 10 for this foodie. Chicken Supreme and Shepherds Pie are comfort food perfection. THIS is a no miss restaurant-
