The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and perfect for such a special family celebration. What made the evening even more memorable was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making sure that every guest felt comfortable and well looked after. Organizing a gathering of this size can be challenging, but the Peppermill team handled everything seamlessly. We are so grateful for their hospitality and for helping make such an important occasion so special. 23/05/2026: Second time here — this time for lunch — and it definitely didn’t disappoint. From the welcome to the service and all the way through to the bill, everything was spot on. Had a really great time again and we’ll definitely be back. Plus, the food is amazing!

09/08/2026: Fantastic food with high quality local Irish ingredients, nice gastropub-atmosphere (including good selection of wine by the glass) and wonderful service! 🤩 Can especially recommend the starter «Dublin Smokies – house-smoked fish, créme fraiche, spring onion, leek, Dubliner cheese,cherry tomato» which was delicious!

08/08/2026: We walked by this place many times going to and from our hotel nearby. Last night (our last night in Ireland) we made a reservation and had one of the best meals of our two month stay in Europe! Great food and service in an authentic gastropub.

17/07/2026: Only tried here a few weeks ago and had the pizza every week since and think about it all the time lol. Chips were a bit on the hard side would prefer them softer, but only had them once so can't really judge. Staff are always so nice and friendly even when they are busy. My favourite spot atm

03/07/2026: Stopped here after walking the Moville Shore Path, a stunning 2.5 hour return walk from Moville to Greencastle (stops for pics and dog on beach included). Inside was packed and buzzing but we sat in a pod outside because we had a dog with us. The pizza was 😋 as was the very generously sized fish encased in the lightest, crispiest batter I have ever tasted! We ate here two nights in a row & will eat here again when we return soon to the stunning Inishowen Peninsula

04/07/2026: What has happened to the Long Valley sandwich? this used to be great experience, Today however, I spent 14 Euros and 40 cents on two chicken salad sandwiches which were composed of dry tastless bread, dried up chicken - no. mayo which had been requested - no seasoning , or dressing They were utterly tasteless. I only ate 1/4 . Is it just me or is 14 euros too much for very poor food? 1 star but only because it provided calories if you were starving.

04/07/2026: As a proud Corkman who lives only 10 minutes away, I’m almost embarrassed to admit that today was my first time eating in the Long Valley. I’d tried a few times before, but it was always packed—which says a lot about the place. I’m delighted I finally made it in. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. To top it all off, the bill was incredibly reasonable for the quality and amount of food. It’s easy to see why this place has such a great reputation. A proper Cork institution that’s well worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back—those sandwiches have more than earned their reputation as some of the best in Cork.

07/07/2026: What appears to be a small pub from the outside is much bigger than expected. With an interesting decor and organization. It also has a large burger place on the lower floor. Which was actually great quality for a fast food venue.

27/06/2026: We went to the pub for drinks and not for food (they are co-located spaces) and it is self service. It is a beautiful place, relaxed, in my opinion not one of the nicest in the city but definitely one of the most well-known and busy! Very reasonable prices.

12/08/2026: Great pub for food, drink and live jazz/blues. Servers & bartenders were pleasant and informative. A great pub atmosphere with good mix of locals and tourists

11/08/2026: A great place to stop for a break between the city center and the Guinness House. The atmosphere is fantastic, typical of an Irish pub, and the portions are generous. There might be a bit of a wait during peak hours, which is to be expected.

16/07/2026: I didn't eat so.i can't speak to that. The drink menu and selection are tops! I did an Irish whiskey sampling and the bartender did an excellent job walking me through the differences. Great cocktail menu, great service.
