06/04/2026: Quirky bar with odd artwork on walls for sale. Like a working men’s club feel inside. Always busy with a mix of locals and tourists. Something to look at everywhere so you will not be bored. They also serve toasties.

13/04/2026: My partner and I stayed at Davitts for two nights recently and could not have had a more pleasant experience. The room was spotless and very spacious with a great shower! Food was excellent especially the breakfast, highly recommend the porridge! The staff were all very welcoming to us, especially David who was very friendly and we had great chats with. The location is perfect nestled right in the middle of town with plenty of options for food and bars around. Could not recommend Davitts more, we will definitely be recurring visitors.

15/04/2026: We barely had time to blink before the food landed on the table. Impressive speed, less impressive freshness. The lasagne was sweet enough to qualify as dessert, only smaller and somehow sadder. The lamb? Let’s just say it had clearly been through a long day. Upstairs had all the charm of a workplace canteen, and the whole place felt like a “eat fast, make room” operation for the next wave of tourists. Safe to say, I wont be returning, feels less like dining out and more like being processed.

19/04/2026: Excellent food and great friendly service. Had lunch here twice and dinner once. Could not fault a thing - beer, soup and stew were great, and the sandwiches were unreal !

06/04/2026: We’ve been at Glass Curtain twice now, including a Valentine’s dinner, and it has been excellent both times. Food is outstanding—every dish feels well thought out and full of flavour. The wine pairing was spot on, and overall the experience felt really special from start to finish. On our Valentine’s visit, we were even surprised with an extra course for Pancake Day, which was a lovely touch. Service is top notch—attentive, professional, and consistent. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for a special occasion. Definitely a place we’ll keep coming back to.

26/02/2026: Went a couple years ago with my mother. Never left a review then, but it was incredible, a hidden gem with great atmosphere and wonderful fresh food, in a wonderful setting too.
