04/10/2025: Wonderful French restaurant. Attention to detail as we had coffee across the street and could see them cleaning the lampshades! Food fantastic asked for a side green salad received a huge salad with lots of green beans and broccollini. Main - Venison Shank with Blackberry sauce, Dauphin potatoes, dessert Banoffee pie and Raspberry Chocolate Mousse, a bottle if white and 2 glasses each of Armanaq. Worth every penny. Returning for dinner!

04/10/2025: Visited here with my family on a trip to Donegal . Everything was amazing the food was some of the best quality I have had in a long time . The service was also brilliant honestly one of the best meals I’ve had out in a while I couldn’t recommend it enough !

18/09/2025: Had read some really positive reviews so when we visited the area recently we booked in. It didn't disappoint. Food and service both really good, so good in fact that we visited a second time a couple of days later. Definitely recommend a visit here.

10/10/2025: Wonderful pub with good live music and great food. I had the Irish beef burger, which tasted really great. Unfortunately, I had to be rushed to the hospital the next day. I had to recover from severe food poisoning, which caused violent cramps. I can't say for sure whether it was caused by the burger and I don't want to attack anyone here. Nevertheless, I wanted to share my experience and, until the moment I first vomited the following day, it was one of the best-tasting burgers I've ever had. I hope I am/was the only one with such an experience.

10/10/2025: We stopped off here with our 2 dogs as its dog friendly. We had two delicious meals each and our dogs even got brought some sausages. The food, service and value here is absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend a visit.

06/10/2025: We stopped here for lunch last week, while you have to leave the M7 to get to Treacys, it is well worth it. There is a great selection of food, full lunches or sandwiches, whichever you're looking for, all lovely and well presented. We have stopped here before and will do so again in the future.

08/10/2025: Have a comfortable stay in a spacious, clean, and well-stocked room. Breakfast was delicious, and our evening night-cap was the perfect end to a long day of adventuring in the west coast of Ireland. Every one of staff was so kind, welcoming, and hospitable... It is no wonder this spot is so well loved and respected by locals and tourists alike!

20/10/2025: We had a truly memorable evening at Powers Bar in Oughterard! The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, but what really stood out was the delicious dinner and top-notch service. The menu showcases the best of local produce, and the highlight for us was the fresh local fish, cooked to perfection. You can really taste the quality — it’s clear they take pride in supporting local suppliers. The seafood was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and generously portioned. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm — the kind of Irish hospitality that makes you feel right at home. Staff were happy to share recommendations and made sure everything was just right throughout the evening. If you're in Oughterard and looking for a great meal in a relaxed, traditional pub setting, Powers is an absolute must. We'll definitely be back!

04/10/2025: Incredible little Irish pub! We wanted to grab a bite to eat while wandering around, and we stumbled upon this little pub. A wonderful surprise, very local, few tourists, and extremely affordable. We had a ham, tomato, and cheese toastie for €5, just what we were looking for. Great atmosphere inside, very local and quiet. Plus, there are lots of artist photos on display. A must-see!

17/09/2025: We were part of a group of about 30 and the food and service exceeded our expectations!!! We will definitly go back there individually or with a group on our next trip to Ennis. Our meals and desserts were delicious!

13/07/2025: I dunno what the heck is wrong with this place. I'm new to Cork, Clonakilty and Ireland in general and was denied entry simply because I was alone. Although I've never been in.... I'll certainly never be back. Head to GG's instead! These guys are funny as hell saying they were closing at 21:00. Lots of lads had said the "security" staff packing roofies. Didn't believe it until that night.

13/10/2025: We had an Irish stew and a pint of stout. The stew was absolutely amazing!
