17/07/2026: A cozy local eatery that makes great food at a reasonable price. Locally, they are world-famous 😁. We had the delicious clam holder. Definitely worth the detour.

09/07/2026: This is a must see in Ballyliffin! Their chowder is phenomenal, of course, but they’ve also done an amazing job of mixing local cuisine with flavors from around the world. The fish tacos are my absolute favorite right now, since it’s the perfect mix of fish and chips and a little taste of being home in the US. Not to mention their amazing wait staff who make sure that everyone who walks in the door is made to feel at home while they’re inside. They’ve also done a great job of honoring the legacy of the barn while bringing in modern conveniences.

01/07/2026: Excellent food, atmosphere, and service. Always enjoy our visits here. Oysters were delicious, shrimp cocktail a nostalgia dream(forgotten how much I love this) Finished off with a seafood platter. Take a bow all at O'Neills

21/06/2026: We had oysters as a starter and a mixed fish platter as a main course. Both dishes were very freshly prepared and tasted excellent. Overall, a very successful meal – we would gladly come again.

19/07/2026: A super lovely restaurant. The food was fantastic with good portion sizes and the staff was super kind. It is imperative that you book ahead as they fill up. There are however, a couple small tables outside that are first come first serve which are in the evening sun but nevertheless an option if you haven't booked ahead. We had a great meal and enjoyed very much.

28/06/2026: Here for a stag do dinner recently and each and everyone of us were impressed. The place looks amazing, the staff are very friendly and the food was 10/10. Would highly recommend the Treehouse

25/07/2026: Managed to book a table for one on a very busy evening, thanks to the staff having hospitality and creativity in equal measure. Went for two starters rather than one and a main, allowing superb rock oysters and lobster risotto to accompany a very lovely carafe of wine. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and the food was simply wonderful.

02/07/2026: I actually gasped when I saw the prices. You'd get much larger portions for better value in many other places near by. I feel sorry for tourists who wouldn't know any better. We were still there for 15 mins after being seated with no sign of anyone coming to take our order. We ended up handing menus back and leaving.

15/07/2026: We had a lovely time in this fascinating little bar/restaurant. We had the chowder which was very good. We also had the mackerel patty and hummus with tortillas very enjoyable. My wife had the sauvignon blanc which could have been colder. The Guinness was excellent and definitely one of the best points I enjoyed on our little road trip, so much so I had to have a second and it didn't disappoint. I highly recommend a visit to Nancy's and the town of Ardara.

13/07/2026: Cozy local pub, great atmosphere. Good food and friendly service. We were able to wait at the bar for a bit while we waited for a table. On Sundays, the kitchen closes a bit earlier, so be sure to be on time; it can get really busy, but it's worth it.

10/07/2026: Everything was absolutely fantastic. Even from before our arrival at the restaurant, the contact and communication from Linda and the team ensured a perfect dinner. Most of our had the steak (which is the best in limerick for sure) along with the monkfish and pork belly. Everyone was delighted with th food it was AMAZING. The service and staff are all so fab and accommodating, service was fun and always with a smile. I haven’t been here in a good few years and I must sa, Freddy’s has kept the same consistency now as it has ten years ago. I look forward to going back soon.

30/06/2026: Here for a couple weeks for work and I reserve seating for my coworker and myself. I would have to say it’s one of the best spots that I have tried in Limerick. I had the pork tacos, ohhh so good. Steak was tender as can be. Lemon tart was good. I would highly recommend both the pork tacos and the steak.

02/07/2026: Pleasant welcome. Quick service. Noisy. Large dining room. However, someone needs to explain to me what the "bread stuffing" (bread crumbs) is doing between the two slices of leg of lamb! In addition to the mashed potatoes. And the sauce... it tasted like industrial English gravy 🤪 In short, it's not bad, but it's not haute cuisine as the reviews... from non-French people, they say 😂😂

14/07/2026: Arrived at 5pm on a Tuesday and had several menu options, so we went with the early mid-week special and, between myself and my wife, were able to sample most of the dishes from the tasting menu. Everything was delicious and the staff were very helpful and kind regarding food allergies; their drinks and mocktails are also excellent

28/07/2026: Lovely setting and very good food: excellent lamb shank, very good mussels. The pizza was a bit of a letdown, but not bad; the crust was a little too thin and dry. Very good banoffee pie.

26/07/2026: Excellent food and great service! Vladimir was so nice and made us have fun. Leaving the Cliffs of Moher, it was the perfect dinner. The salmon and French-style mussels were excellent.
