11/10/2025: The restaurant was empty, late afternoon and we were given a table at the front of the restaurant by a window, only to be told that someone coming in later wanted that table and would we mind moving. No problem, but we were then seated outside the toilet and tbh we were both hungry and just wanted a nice simple light dinner. My partner order risotto and I order their hamburger and fries. Neither of us could finish our food. The risotto was as bland as you can imagine, and I assume it was precooked as it was served up in a matter of ten or 15 minutes. Some dried onion sprinkled on top. It was the worst risotto we have ever tasted. My burger was dry, tasteless and definitely not fresh off the grill, and the frozen fries were also bland and unappetising. The bruschetta was laughable- slices of toast with some halved cherry tomatoes on top with a splash of oil. Service was so-so, but honestly they’d need to try much harder and get back to basics of good simple food to win my vote. As for Italian, there was little evidence of that.

11/11/2025: Food is decent - we enjoyed the early bird menu twice and it caters for vegan and vegetarian, although you wont have a selection of options. Service was great both times and price good too if doing early bird !

27/10/2025: Nice restaurant, off the beaten track. The menu is manageable. The starters are small. We had the steak, not so good meat and not grilled well. And the curry, well-seasoned but with more sauce than substance. The chicken with it was good. However, and this is why it only gives it two stars, the prices for the food are far too high. €29.70 for the steak and €25.70 for the curry are, in my opinion, completely unreasonable.

30/11/2025: I know people exaggerate when leaving a review but this is the best seafood I’ve ever eaten. Would recommend people select 3 small dishes per head so can try more of the menu. So so good.

24/11/2025: Had one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time at Doyle’s a few nights ago. Heard it was good, but didn’t realize how amazing the quality was and how reasonable the prices were. Such kind staff, and fresh flavor-blasting, unique dishes. Sticky toffee pudding knocked my socks off. A must-go in Dingle!

28/10/2025: Terrible experience. We went to this pub just after church time on a Sunday. The lady at the bar was really unfriendly. We order two Irish coffee… well the were really bad. It seems like juste burnt coffee without any whisky inside, I have to admit she puts coca powder on top. I will definitely never go back to this pub again.

The seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious – every dish was beautifully prepared and presented. We truly enjoyed everything and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

28/10/2025: Walked in with our son to have a drink and for husband to do whiskey tasting. What an absolutely amazing place! An outstanding amount and variety of scotches/whiskeys. Lots of different beers on tap. Many unique cocktails. Also a gin bar in same place! HIGHLY recommend. Beautifully decorated and stylish atmosphere.

15/10/2025: The atmosphere and service are very nice. The food is terrible. They use the same curry for everything. I don't recommend eating here for their "dirty fries" and "burgers," just drinks. Even their whiskey with caramel notes is very bad; it seems like they added drops of vanilla essence at the last minute, changing the flavor and making it no longer whiskey.

14/11/2025: I booked last minute for a table for my family (two adults and two young children). On arrival the staff were so lovely and welcomed both us and the kids! They had a high chair ready should we need one. The atmosphere was so friendly and joyful. We never felt under pressure to curtail the kids, but they were surprisingly quiet and well behaved. The staff were all amazing. And the food was next level amazing! Even my two year old daughter who eats very little sat with her eyes closed chewing some pork saying it was “melicious”. Overall it was an amazing, calm and enjoyable family meal and we will most definitely return ❤️ thank you ❤️❤️❤️

04/11/2025: Great little pub. Dropped in for an afternoon guinness and a bite to eat. Never been to Limerick before and spotted it from the end of the street as it looked like a pub we would frequent. The staff were really friendly and helping with tips from the menu. We decided on the loaded fries and chicken wings...they were seriously the best wings we have had on our month long tour. Started off with a couple of Guinness which were well poured and cold! Tried a Murphy's but wasn't sold so had another few Guinness 🙂 Would definitely recommend visiting the Glen Tavern when in Limerick.

07/11/2025: If you're wary of the line of people waiting to enter the café, consider it a compliment to your choice. Indeed, in its own way, this is the best establishment in Navan; I couldn't say that for all of Ireland. From the delicate (and I mean that!) dishes to the warm, welcoming hostess. The brunch here is incredible! Plus, the coffee is truly genuine and original. It's definitely the best in Navan. And I haven't encountered anything even close to this in Dublin. And trust my guide to Greece: we categorically refuse to interact with the outside world without coffee. Therefore, we know a thing or two about this invigorating drink. Let's get back to the food: poached eggs, also known as Benedict (not Cumberbatch), are available in a variety of variations, even with mushrooms. I chose the salmon version and it seems I made the right choice. But when her daughter's order arrived, it was clear he'd won this culinary race. The Olympionik combined tender, simmering meat, infused with the aroma of spices and the music of exotic lands. Tears of envy flowed, and mouths watered with the urge to "let me try it." Once again, I was convinced how Irish cuisine, despite its dramatic proximity, contrasts with English cuisine. I recommend it to everyone, and see you again!

11/09/2025: I’ve been coming to this place for over 20 years and I’ve been disappointed at how much the food has declined in recent years but went again today just to give it another go. The veggie options were really poor, I was served what seemed like a frozen burger with frozen chips, and then charge €1 extra for a slice of American cheese. It felt like no care or attention went into the food. The people I was with were equally disappointed (they had non-veggie options). Really disappointing experience compared to what this place used to be.
