07/05/2025: Just visited this place for the first time after living in the area for a while already. Absolutely loved the place. Just dropped here for a quick lunch on my son's 18th birthday. Service was really lovely, people went far & beyond to make us feel welcome, food was spectacular and I left the place even happier than I came in. Definitely will come again.

03/05/2025: Tuvimos una comida fabulosa, pero lo que lo empañó fue Beverly. Muy buena comida. El servicio era bueno. Tuvimos 3 platos de comida con bebidas que estábamos acabando desierto cuando Beverly el anfitrión vino y dijo que teníamos 10 minutos para levantarse de la mesa la mesa está reservada. No nos dimos cuenta ya que teníamos nuestros cafés pedidos sabiendo que estaríamos terminados en aproximadamente 10 mente de todos modos. Ella regresó en menos de los 5 minutos que necesitamos para desalojar la mesa dijimos que terminaremos nuestros cafés y nos iremos luego dijo que estábamos 2 horas allí y hay un límite de 2 horas en la mesa. Dijimos que teníamos una comida de 3 platos con bebidas y nunca oímos que había un límite de 2 horas y no había señales. Ella estaba dando a otros empleados acerca de nuestra mesa y que no nos íbamos de la mesa. Íbamos a irnos en breve. Sentimos que era muy grosera y poco después de la conversación dejó caer nuestro cheque a la mesa. Había mesas a nuestro alrededor libres y no vimos qué prisa había. Fue una pena dejar esta opinión, ya que la comida y el servicio era bueno. Nuestra factura era de más de 150 €, sentimos que no merecíamos esto.

02/04/2025: This was possibly the worst sandwich I have ever had, I asked for chicken salad sandwich with no tomato, I got soggy bread, that had obviously had tomato picked out, but not before the juice and seeds had soaked into the break, little bit of lettuce and sad chicken also soaked in tomato, my partners food was no better, very disappointing

20/05/2025: We went around 3.30 pm after us ringing to find out times .We got our food that looked ok to start with .I had a burger which I have to say it was so hard I could not put a knife through it .I told the staff which said the could not take it off the bill but would take off the child's dinner .she was not very friendly . I have been there before and had lovely food so was disappointed. I went in to hotel and told them which they said would ring me back but I'm still waiting.Its such a shame.

17/04/2025: I was so lucky to receive a tour of the castle hotel! Carol was incredibly knowledgeable and we talked informally for an hour about Irish history as it related to the Knox-Gore Family and their residence over time including during the Great Famine and after their departure (i.e., the tuberculosis sanatorium, military barracks, and ultimately hotel, venue, and museum). After our insightful conversation, she took me on a tour of Marshall Doran’s exceptionally eclectic collections including geology, Irish history, and weaponry. I loved being able to feel the weight of the weapons from the medieval period and seeing an executioner’s sword limited to use for beheading gentlemen was quite the education!

15/05/2025: Food was excellent and so was the service—warm, friendly and efficient. The brined pork chop is superb. The strawberry pistachio frangipane tart is to die for. You must go!!! Great job, guys!!

15/05/2025: First visit today. Lovely food and venue, lovely waiting staff but bloody heck, the guy behind the bar doing restaurant payments badly needs a refresher course in customer service!! Not a smile, please or thank you from the time I approached him to pay my bill. In fact, only for my thank you when he presented me with the card machine and another thank you from me when he gave me the receipt the whole interaction was done in silence. Not a good look for any establishment. Do better!

10/05/2025: We had a lovely meal at the Old Barracks yesterday evening. I ordered the salmon noodles and my wife had the roast beef. Both dishes were fresh, generous in portion, and absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, making the entire experience even better. We couldn’t fault a single thing and will definitely be returning for more delicious food.

26/05/2025: Unfortunately, the Green St location is no longer offering take away. This should be updated in their profile. They do have a differ lotion; food trailer, but wasn’t open at 13:00

22/05/2025: Fish tacos were excellent, buttermilk buttered and perfect accompaniments! Others had the fresh Hake. Prepared perfect. Heroine was stuffed.

07/05/2025: This is a lovely, cozy spot with real local charm. It’s a great place to grab a pint and relax on your trip around the ring of Kerry, especially with the warmth of the peat fire crackling in the background. The staff are friendly, and the pub has that perfect traditional Irish vibe. Whether you're after a drink or a bite to eat, it’s a really welcoming place to stop by when you're in the area.

29/04/2025: Ate here twice on a recent stay in Sneem. Food & service was excellent, good size portions too. We all said it was the best steak we had had in ages! Best place to eat in the village 👌

11/05/2025: We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Taafes! The food was delicious (especially the seafood chowder), atmosphere was great and we had the best Server ever! I would highly recommend.

10/05/2025: Nice pub with fair prices, good live music, clean toilets and outdoor area with heat lamps. It got very busy in the evening, we were there during the week and it was mainly younger clientele (18-26)

19/04/2025: Have been here a few times, and it has never disappointed. The food quality is excellent, and the service is always great. All the staff are lovely and make an effort to chat with the customers. The fillet steak is 10/10, and definitely get the onion rings with it! This place is a must for anyone visiting Clare!

12/05/2025: Llamaron esta noche en nuestros viajes. Fue recibido por un miembro muy amable del personal y se le dio a elegir un asiento. Tuvimos uno de los mejores langostinos pil pil que he tenido y un sabroso rollo de primavera de cordero. La tabla de quesos era excelente y me dieron azul cashel extra pero el miembro del personal encantador, que fue un buen gesto. Una verdadera joya. Definitivamente llamaremos cuando estemos en Killarney de nuevo

03/05/2025: My wife and I stayed two nights in April 2025 at the Killarney Royal and had a great time! The entire experience went smoothly with all staff members being very helpful and cheerful. We especially enjoyed chatting with Aaron and Fernanda at the bar. If you are looking for a nice, central location in Killarney, give Killarney Royal a look!

26/04/2025: Bed very comfortable and room clean..Had to ask for more hangers and a golf ball! Would have liked a shower cap and another large towel(for long haired people) Curtain in bathroom needs to be replaced(mould on the bottom of it) Shower pressure good..Restaurant and breakfast staff excellent.

23/05/2025: Myself and my husband have frequented Nevin's for food on many occasions as we have family nearby and the food and service is always amazing. On this occasion we stayed in the newly renovated Lodge for 2 nights which was just beautiful, The bed was so comfy and the bathroom is so luxurious , there was a dream vanity station with no shortage of plugs in our room and the breakfast was amazing on both mornings , we will definitely return to this gem.
