01/01/2026: Always such friendly faces. Came here for lunch on New Years Day. We were looked after so well with our little baby. Delicious food and fantastic service. We love coming here when we visit family in Athenry.

21/01/2026: A historic place from the 60s, 70s and 80s...there is no world-famous rock musician who hasn't played here...from Hendrix, Jeff Beck, McCartney, Springsteen, Bono Vox, etc... Top atmosphere and drinks...reasonable prices... For every recommendation, A great discovery in a small town.

30/12/2025: Without question this is one of the finest Pubs in Ireland. Absolutely legendary place for great live music. A must visit if you are in West Cork.

20/01/2026: Unfortunately this place was certainly over rated. The French onion soup was , the chips were Luke warm and covered with an aromatic spice or seasoning that was not listed. Disappointing as reviews are great.

12/11/2025: My daughter, Khristina, who lives in this town, thinks this is the best restaurant in Navan. Based on her experience, I completely agree. The fact that you need to book a table in advance also speaks volumes. The atmosphere isn't just cozy, it's family-like, and even the sheer number of customers didn't detract from that. There were couples and numerous groups of people of all ages. My heart was set on a rack, and it was superb! I made the risky decision to pair it with shrimp. Many people believe that seafood shouldn't be paired with meat. But, as my experience at Zucchini showed, such notions are the deep-seated misconceptions of gastronomic fanatics. The family treated themselves to a selection of delicacies, among which I'd especially like to highlight the duck, which we usually know by its Peking version. But this restaurant far surpassed all Chinese traditionalists, offering tender, large, and juicy pieces of meat, elegantly accompanied by modest side dishes that didn't distract from the headliner. To avoid making the review too cloying, I sigh that the selection could have included a wider selection of Irish beers, and not just the lone, undisputed Guinness. And now a toast: to the health of this restaurant's chef!

11/11/2025: Food was really good here. Service was quick and professional. Wait staff had good knowledge of meals. I'd say a small size restaurant but decorated lovely and tables are not on top of each other. We'll definitely be back as we wanted everything on the menu :)

04/01/2026: We ended up here looking for vegan breakfast options. The menu is a bit confusing at first: it states that changes are not possible, but the friendly waiter then told us that almost everything can be prepared vegan. The breakfast burrito and sandwiches are highly recommended. Arrive early or be prepared to wait!

03/01/2026: Very very large breakfast An option for a mini breakfast would be welcome. Staff helpful, friendly and informative on the food. Queue on arrival, seated within 5 mins. Quick service and nobody hovering waiting on you to leave. Highly recommended.

29/11/2025: Had the most amazing family dinner here lastnight and I had to share the experience! We were a table of 8 people, some had starts and dessert, all had mains ! Everything was amazing, the service was brilliant , super friends and welcoming staff ! Service was perfectly timed that it wasn't too long or too quick for food either ! The flavours were out of the world! Even the mushroom soup which wouldn't be a first pick for me was insane! Will definitely be back again!

19/01/2026: On a cold, wet Mayo evening, my wife Vivien and I found exactly the welcome we needed at An Port Mór restaurant in the county. From the moment we arrived, Lucy and Sophie greeted us with a warmth and ease that immediately set the tone for a memorable night, making the weather outside feel entirely irrelevant. I began with beautifully prepared smoked salmon, followed by a blade of beef that was nothing short of superb - rich, tender, and deeply satisfying, before finishing with a perfectly executed crème brûlée, all accompanied by elegant, well-chosen wines that complemented each course effortlessly. Vivien’s meal was equally impressive: a comforting, flavourful soup to start, followed by delicately cooked hake, and a pavlova that was as light and delicious as it was beautifully presented. Port Mór once again reminded us why it remains our favourite restaurant in the West of Ireland if not the '32' counties: exceptional food, thoughtful wine pairings, and lovely people with genuine hospitality that turns an evening out into something truly special. 11/09/2025: I’ve been coming to this place for over 20 years and I’ve been disappointed at how much the food has declined in recent years but went again today just to give it another go. The veggie options were really poor, I was served what seemed like a frozen burger with frozen chips, and then charge €1 extra for a slice of American cheese. It felt like no care or attention went into the food. The people I was with were equally disappointed (they had non-veggie options). Really disappointing experience compared to what this place used to be.

10/01/2026: Extremely friendly and professional staff, lovely experience from the get go and food is unreal ! Have been twice now and would definitely go again ! We got the Kim cheese fries, kbbq burger, jalapeño burger and the fried pickles 10/10!!

06/01/2026: Went to The Palace after the recommendation from a bartender - which turned out to be a good one. It’s a great place to experience an authentic Irish pub which we did to the very end. Definitely worth to take down some pints there!

24/12/2025: My wife and I were visiting Limerick in October from Canada, and this restaurant came highly recommended by our air bnb hosts. The servers were nice and the atmosphere matched, but the food was very slow. We BOTH ordered the chimichuri chicken, which tasted great.... However, less than an hour later we were both violently ill. Truly horror movie sick. We could not leave our air bnb and even had to change our travel plans because we were still bed ridden on day 2. This was a terrible experience and we would NOT recommend going to Freddy's. There was an email sent to management from our kind Airbnb hosts, and they never received a response to try and remedy this.

20/12/2025: Great little pub/ restaurant. We got a last minute booking for 4 of us and I had never eaten here before but I was not disappointed. The food was amazing and the portions are huge. The service came with a smile and friendly chat even though the staff were clearly on top of their heads. I will definitely be back soon.
