10/08/2025: 5 staff behind the bar more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. Then when we did get attention, they were extremely rude....certainly won't be back for the service

13/07/2025: I dunno what the heck is wrong with this place. I'm new to Cork, Clonakilty and Ireland in general and was denied entry simply because I was alone. Although I've never been in.... I'll certainly never be back. Head to GG's instead! These guys are funny as hell saying they were closing at 21:00. Lots of lads had said the "security" staff packing roofies. Didn't believe it until that night.

06/11/2025: A wonderful expirience all around. We went here for our 5 year anniversary recently and could not have chosen a better place. Recommend without hesitation, especially for special occasions.

29/10/2025: Not gonna lie might be one of the best chippys I’ve had. It’s always a good sign when a chippy makes you wait rather than getting something out from under a heat lamp. Very fresh not overly fatty and comes in proper paper not a horrible polystyrene tray. Well priced too 12-13 euro for a big portion.

15/10/2025: My friend and I had a meal in this establishment Wednesday 15th October. Once you walk in the door you enter a cosy homely atmosphere. We were greeted by Colleen who I must say was the most pleasant young lady I have ever met in a restaurant. She has a tremendous personality and was so helpful and engaging while we were there. The food was top class, wine excellent and considering it was early the restaurant was half full. I will definitely be returning. John.

11/10/2025: The restaurant was empty, late afternoon and we were given a table at the front of the restaurant by a window, only to be told that someone coming in later wanted that table and would we mind moving. No problem, but we were then seated outside the toilet and tbh we were both hungry and just wanted a nice simple light dinner. My partner order risotto and I order their hamburger and fries. Neither of us could finish our food. The risotto was as bland as you can imagine, and I assume it was precooked as it was served up in a matter of ten or 15 minutes. Some dried onion sprinkled on top. It was the worst risotto we have ever tasted. My burger was dry, tasteless and definitely not fresh off the grill, and the frozen fries were also bland and unappetising. The bruschetta was laughable- slices of toast with some halved cherry tomatoes on top with a splash of oil. Service was so-so, but honestly they’d need to try much harder and get back to basics of good simple food to win my vote. As for Italian, there was little evidence of that.

03/11/2025: Had the best fish of my life at the Fish Box, we stopped on a Monday evening and grabbed the Sharing Box for my husband and to split. We polished it off and enjoyed every second. It’s been two weeks since we were here and I have thought about this meal everyday since.

02/11/2025: The batter on their fried fish is the best I’ve ever had. The chips were just okay and could’ve been much better. I also tried the chowder, which was quite chunky. It was good, but I would’ve preferred a bit more soup.

21/09/2025: Very nice and cosy place. I ordered BBQ ribs and chips with glass of Merlot wine. Ribs were amazing: well marinated, soft and sweet. Banoffi desert was not too sweet and good. It was very delicious.

12/11/2025: My daughter, Khristina, who lives in this town, thinks this is the best restaurant in Navan. Based on her experience, I completely agree. The fact that you need to book a table in advance also speaks volumes. The atmosphere isn't just cozy, it's family-like, and even the sheer number of customers didn't detract from that. There were couples and numerous groups of people of all ages. My heart was set on a rack, and it was superb! I made the risky decision to pair it with shrimp. Many people believe that seafood shouldn't be paired with meat. But, as my experience at Zucchini showed, such notions are the deep-seated misconceptions of gastronomic fanatics. The family treated themselves to a selection of delicacies, among which I'd especially like to highlight the duck, which we usually know by its Peking version. But this restaurant far surpassed all Chinese traditionalists, offering tender, large, and juicy pieces of meat, elegantly accompanied by modest side dishes that didn't distract from the headliner. To avoid making the review too cloying, I sigh that the selection could have included a wider selection of Irish beers, and not just the lone, undisputed Guinness. And now a toast: to the health of this restaurant's chef!

11/11/2025: Food was really good here. Service was quick and professional. Wait staff had good knowledge of meals. I'd say a small size restaurant but decorated lovely and tables are not on top of each other. We'll definitely be back as we wanted everything on the menu :)

04/11/2025: Beautiful little cafe on a wee side street. Always visit here with my cousins when i visit home! Beautiful interior, fresh baked goos and foods & friendly staff. What more could you ask for! A must visit if passing through Rathmullan.

27/10/2025: Gorgeous bakery, we got coffees and bakes as take away. I had a cheese and ham croissant and my husband had a Bakewell and fruit tart. Beautiful bakes! We were in a rush but if we had time we would have sat i, the dining room was really lovely with nice seating and a nautical theme.

05/11/2025: Have been here a few times,always an enjoyable experience, nice selection of food on menu,plenty of gluten free options,the staff are brilliant ,nothing was too much trouble, one of kilkennys best restaurants .

30/10/2025: 7 of us went in on a Wednesday night to a full house, great to see. Service was excellent and the featherblade of beef just melt in your mouth, fabulous. Will be back again soon.
