23/08/2026: My Favorite place togo for drink and small bites. Very cozy place but loved the decor... serves cocktails as well. Downstairs they have wow burgers so ur meal is also sorted while having your drink... great selection of beers, whiskeys and liquors at reasonable prices. Location is also good.

05/10/2026: Very disappointing experience. The service was far too pushy. Before I even ordered, the waiter kept coming over every minute asking if I was ready. After I ordered, four different staff members approached me, and my menu was taken away immediately. I had to ask for it back because my friend was joining me. We ordered omelettes and green tea. The tea was ridiculously expensive for an ordinary café. The omelettes were thin, cold, and filled with a cold mixture that seemed to have been prepared separately and simply wrapped inside the egg. We also waited far too long for them. For the same price, I have had a proper, hot and substantial omelette in Rathmines. This was nowhere near the same standard. Pushy service, long wait, cold food and poor value. I won't be coming back. A real disappointment.

30/05/2026: There’s a reason why this is a 5 Star resort and they earn every day. The service was impeccable, staff were friendly and helpful, grounds were glorious and the room was spacious. We did the falconry class which was an amazing experience while being educational. I didn’t get to golf, but the course looked breathtaking. The location is a little remote, but the food and drinks on property were spot on!

18/10/2026: Ordered stick bbq pork chunks for starter and they were just chunks of fat, only 4 small pieces with little to no meat for €12.50, my partner ordered goats cheese which came on top of figs that where hardly there. Then she asked could she get a little roll of rocket leaves to go with it. They then charged €4.50 for that on top of an already €11.50 starter. The mains where lovely. Supreme of chicken and a vegetable curry. I got a rock shandy drink and to my amazement it was dearer than a pint when I got the bill @€5.90. Overall the experience was good, I just think the extra charge on an already poor starter was too much and the rip off rockshandy. Still a lovely place and staff where great, Don't let this review put you off. Just don't order either of those starters and play it safe.

08/10/2026: Food: the scallops starter wasn't that great. The scallops were unidentifiable and a very small portion. My partners prawns were in a sloppy sauce and it was a very large portion. Mains were very average. The gingerbeer battered fish was nothing special. We both have had better fish in batter in other places. Mains were below par. We didn't take any deserts as a result of the poor starters and Mains. Service was ok. The atmosphere was lovely and cosy with a modern touch. Would I come back? No. Overall score 4/10.

06/10/2026: This place has earned their stars! Food was excellent, fresh and real. Awesome to see a family making it work together. The Thai Curry was better than pretty much any Thai restaurant that I've experienced in Southern California, and I have tried a lot.

27/06/2026: Fish bones in chowder the place is trying to win an award for….. interesting. Service was awful. Waited almost an hour and 50 minutes and never got our food. Blamed everything on the chef when clearly it was front of house mistake. Go somewhere else.

26/06/2026: Unfortunately we are forced to leave a bad review. When we first arrived, we were seated immediately at a front table by the window, and it seemed like it was going to be a great experience and meal. After we ordered our food and drinks, we were served bread and waited for our appetizers (one caesar salad and three chowders). After about 20 minutes, someone came by to ask us if we wanted another round of drinks and some more bread, to which we passed on the drinks and agreed to the bread. After about another 25 minutes, our server came over to say that the kitchen had overlooked the ticket with our appetizers on it, so it would be another 15 minutes or so until our appetizers arrived. As a family who owns multiple restaurants / is in the industry, we tried to be understanding, as we know what it is like to be a busy restaurant on a Friday night. However, once the appetizers finally arrived, there were fish bones in the chowder, and the soup was unfortunately average. After about another 30 minutes, and our entrees were not anywhere in sight, we asked when we could expect our food and were told “it will be coming out soon”. By this time, we had been at our table for about an hour and 40 minutes, and the manager/bartender offered to buy us a round of drinks to appease us. We passed on the round of drinks and asked when our food could be expected. She told us that it was “being plated just now”. Again, we waited about 15 minutes and our food had not arrived. At this point, we asked for our bill and said we didn’t want to wait for our food anymore. The bartender apologetically brought our check over, while continuing to blame the kitchens error, however, did not comp any of our drinks or appetizers. The whole experience was extremely disappointing and we would not recommend wasting your time, or spending your money here.
