20/10/2025: This place has excellent food and service. The Staff are very accommodating and friendly. The food came out quickly and hot. The place is extremely clean. I really loved the seafood chowder.

10/08/2025: 5 staff behind the bar more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. Then when we did get attention, they were extremely rude....certainly won't be back for the service

13/07/2025: I dunno what the heck is wrong with this place. I'm new to Cork, Clonakilty and Ireland in general and was denied entry simply because I was alone. Although I've never been in.... I'll certainly never be back. Head to GG's instead! These guys are funny as hell saying they were closing at 21:00. Lots of lads had said the "security" staff packing roofies. Didn't believe it until that night.

20/10/2025: Cronin's is a top restaurant. We loved being upstairs under Mary's great care. We ate there both of our nights in Killarney. The food and wine menus are well-curated. The lamb shank was outstanding, as were the fish and chips and fish trio. The ambiance, coziness and comfort exceeds other places in the area we visited.

19/09/2025: A very nice restaurant. You should definitely reserve a table in advance. We had the Shepherd's Pie and the vegetarian tortellini. Both portions were generous and delicious!

31/08/2025: Delicious and filling meal! We started off arriving 30 mins late after a problem with our car, but staff were very accommodating. Settled in to the tasting menu and everything was gorgeous and perfectly cooked. They adjusted nicely when one guest had intolerance to cream. Was expecting to leave hungry after some reviews but was completely full at the end - particularly after the focacia and almond cake. Fish course was particular highlight, lamb dish slightly salty for my taste. Overall would highly recommend - specifically to have tasting menu as dont think would be as worthwhile to have a la carte.

17/10/2025: Had a fantastic dinner at Byrne’s in Ennistymon. Food was top class. Coconut prawns appetizer was delicious. Main courses of Pork Belly and Roasted Salmon did not disappoint. Great location with views of the Falls.

15/10/2025: Amazing restaurant and staff and the food was awesome. Desserts are made in house and they have daily specials on the menu. This was recommended by our hotel and was totally worth it. The view of the river was great.

15/10/2025: My friend and I had a meal in this establishment Wednesday 15th October. Once you walk in the door you enter a cosy homely atmosphere. We were greeted by Colleen who I must say was the most pleasant young lady I have ever met in a restaurant. She has a tremendous personality and was so helpful and engaging while we were there. The food was top class, wine excellent and considering it was early the restaurant was half full. I will definitely be returning. John.

06/11/2025: A wonderful expirience all around. We went here for our 5 year anniversary recently and could not have chosen a better place. Recommend without hesitation, especially for special occasions.

21/09/2025: Very nice and cosy place. I ordered BBQ ribs and chips with glass of Merlot wine. Ribs were amazing: well marinated, soft and sweet. Banoffi desert was not too sweet and good. It was very delicious.

29/10/2025: Not gonna lie might be one of the best chippys I’ve had. It’s always a good sign when a chippy makes you wait rather than getting something out from under a heat lamp. Very fresh not overly fatty and comes in proper paper not a horrible polystyrene tray. Well priced too 12-13 euro for a big portion.

03/11/2025: Had the best fish of my life at the Fish Box, we stopped on a Monday evening and grabbed the Sharing Box for my husband and to split. We polished it off and enjoyed every second. It’s been two weeks since we were here and I have thought about this meal everyday since.

02/11/2025: The batter on their fried fish is the best I’ve ever had. The chips were just okay and could’ve been much better. I also tried the chowder, which was quite chunky. It was good, but I would’ve preferred a bit more soup.

25/10/2025: I love your sister restaurant quattro so I knew id love Riba too. The food is just as yummy. I had the delicious burger. We'll be back.

11/10/2025: The restaurant was empty, late afternoon and we were given a table at the front of the restaurant by a window, only to be told that someone coming in later wanted that table and would we mind moving. No problem, but we were then seated outside the toilet and tbh we were both hungry and just wanted a nice simple light dinner. My partner order risotto and I order their hamburger and fries. Neither of us could finish our food. The risotto was as bland as you can imagine, and I assume it was precooked as it was served up in a matter of ten or 15 minutes. Some dried onion sprinkled on top. It was the worst risotto we have ever tasted. My burger was dry, tasteless and definitely not fresh off the grill, and the frozen fries were also bland and unappetising. The bruschetta was laughable- slices of toast with some halved cherry tomatoes on top with a splash of oil. Service was so-so, but honestly they’d need to try much harder and get back to basics of good simple food to win my vote. As for Italian, there was little evidence of that.
