10/07/2024: An amazing property and museum. The telescope was awesome, the largest in.the world from.1845 to 1917. The marine engine designed and built by Charles Parsons powered the mighty Titanic!
09/07/2024: Great outing on a sunny day. The premises are huge and consist of the castle, a formal garden, plains, a few plantations, and a giant telescope. You can spend around 2-2.5hours exploring the entire place. The castle has guided tours as well. They're timed, call for timings. The entrance is located on the Science centre pin on maps. There's a small town centre car park and plenty of street parking. There's a nice café at the entrance, and they often offer soft serve ice cream. Toilet facilities are available at the reception only. Recommended for a nice family day out.

27/06/2024: We had a beautiful meal in this restaurant last night. We choose the restaurant based on the great reviews that we had read as we were just visiting Tullamore. It did not disappoint. From the minute we walked in the door our server Christina saw to our every need. She was very cheerful and pleasant and the service was 5 star. The food was absolutely delicious. We had crab brûlée and duck parfait for starters and slow braised shoulder of lamb for mains. Our desserts were gorgeous also. We would highly recommend this restaurant to our family and friends.

27/05/2024: The folks running this café/shop-with-a- conscience neighbourhood place know how to cook. They use well-sourced, often local ingredients and treat them with respect and skill. They strive to make a positive social impact, and not just superficially, either; for instance, they collaborate with the Dublin Hygiene Bank, helping to collect hygiene articles and distribute them among people who might not be able to afford them otherwise. The cafe is located in a nice quiet side street and looks epic from the outside. Both the meat and vegetarian dishes we have tried were very, very tasty, and the rocky road... rocked.

02/07/2024: A nice little restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, we didn't speak English very well, menu at âŹ13.50, 4 courses on offer, we chose the chicken curry and rice, very well served, I had it and washed it down with an Irish beer
27/06/2024: Very tasty and delicious, friendly and well attended. Irish Coffee is actually unbeatably good and, at âŹ6.90, a very fair price. Dogs not allowed as usual here.
Good recommendation in any case.

27/05/2024: Passing through & happened on this lovely garden centre. Stopped for brunch & food was excellent. I had scrambled egg & sausage & was gorgeous! Also bought some foodie gifts đ to take home. Highly recommended.
16/04/2024: Great garden centre, well stocked & helpful knowledgeable staff. Reasonably priced. Then, into the cafe for refreshments. Lovley choices on the menu. Amasing coffee. Tea & other refreshments are available too. Good selection of cakes/desserts.

03/04/2024: Racist bouncers. Got refused entry by a bouncer because I was âspeaking gibberishâ and therefore âtoo drunkâ. The âgibberishâ he was referring to was me speaking Polish to my brother on a phone call. When I tried to explain this to the lad he told me to go away. Lived in Ireland all my life and Iâve perfect English so itâs not like this was anything to do with a communication barrier. Shocking behaviour on the staffs part.
