We walked in with our 2 little dogs trying to get a place outside unfortunately they were taken up. The owner offered us to sit inside and even asked if we wanted the music to be turned and all the staff kept offering water bowls to the doggos. Food was amazing and my partner said it was one of the nicest steak sandwich he had. Definitely recommend!

Courtyard Cafe at Birr Castle

14/05/2026: Grounds are amazing!! Sadly you can’t go in the castle but it gives you more time to explore the gardens. It was amazing.
11/05/2026: No interior to view. Turned into cafe and souvenir shop. Most of outer walls are intact and several towers are in great condition. 120 acreage of gardens to view.

25/04/2026: Called in on a recommendation. We had really delicious food (falafel wrap + feta cheese salad). Both really fresh and tasty and portions left us too full for the delicious cakes and pastries. Great value for the quality.
