03/12/2023: We all had a lovely night last Friday night. Food absolutely lovely staff fantastic couldn't do enough for us and very friendly.
19/11/2023: Was very disappointed. I haven't been to this restaurant before. It was for my son's birthday. He's actually a chef.
Veg was definitely frozen not fresh.
I had a ceaser salad starter. The ceaser sauce was non existent and very little parmesan cheese.
The main course was just ok. I had the duck. The duck was good as was the orange sauce.
But the mash was a bit dry and under seasoned.
We didn't bother with dessert.
Although I did let them know it was my son's birthday and they did being him out cheesecake with happy birthday written on the plate which was a nice touch.
The staff are friendly and attentive but the food was lacking unfortunately.

04/12/2023: My husband and i dined here last Wednesday night. What a great experience. It was so good. The lovely turf fire burning beside us was so comfortable. The food was very tasty. The staff could'nt have been better. I can't wait to visit again. Ps, the Christmas lights in the village were beautiful. Well done all round.

01/12/2023: Myself and my family recently had a meal for my son's 21st birthday. The food was absolutely delicious 10/10. The waiters and waitresses were excellent and we're so lovely to us all great service and atmosphere. Will definitely be back so glad I try this restaurant while I was in Tullamore with friends and I booked my meal because of the great experience I had. Great job to all 👍

24/11/2023: Went on cold November. €11 entrance fee, bit too much. If you'll be after an hour of stroll, this would be a good option. Its an open ground with trees and garden. I guess ull see the beauty of it during summer. Im jz not sure if ill be back and happy to pay €11 again jz for a stroll. The castle itself is private, u cant go the the castle grounds either. Parking is by the council across the road, make sure to bring €2 coins, no tap/wave card.

I was first drawn to the burger but then read in one of the reviews the fish I also recommended so let's do fish day.
Very nice bowl of properly filled chowder and monkskewers with salads and chips.

Completely cremated. Won't be going there in a hurry. The girl that serves us didn't come across as very capable. She was very young and the lack of experience showed a lot.bi won't be back

06/12/2023: My wife and I have been to Indian restaurants all over Ireland and Europe but none are anywhere close to Sanjays Restaurant. The food is amazing,staff are always lovely. Highly recommended and we are so lucky to live only 10 minutes away. A true gem of Birr.
