Lemon Tree
Letterkenny
27/10/2025: Best meal we have had in a long time.
Food was absolutely amazing, the cocktails were top class.
Couldn’t fault the lemon tree from start to finish
26/10/2025: A restaurant where I eat superbly. Its dishes are full of great flavors and amazing combinations of ingredients. The service is very attentive, friendly, and very patient with the diners. The atmosphere surrounding the place is magical, and with the great selection of songs, the atmosphere becomes a charming place. The facilities are very clean and very well-equipped. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the price, which is a bit high, to be honest. But if you're in the city, I recommend trying this very special experience, even if it's just once.
I recommend ordering the pasta with vegetables and the seafood gratin; they are the two best things I tried.

The Long Valley
Cork
19/10/2025: Barman at door nearly pounced on my partner for having an m&s bag with her. More committed to one side of the bar than the other I'd say 🍻. Turned around and left.
16/10/2025: Lovely traditional spot in Cork City! The chowder is one of the best I have ever had. A bit chunky but lovely!
Unfortunately those from anti-immigrant/ gay, etc... groups seem to be targeting the bar negatively!

Nancy's
Ardara
12/10/2025: The most incredible, the most beautiful, and the warmest of all the pubs we discovered throughout our road trip in Ireland. This one is a true gem, the owner's former house, which is actually a series of small rooms worth visiting, each one retaining its old-world charm, with knick-knacks, a piano, an old desk, period photos, and more.
A true gem ♥️
27/09/2025: Nice pub with a tavern and a few tables. The food was excellent. We'd happily return if we ever find ourselves in Ardara again.

Mulcahys
Kenmare
11/10/2025: Had an amazing meal here this evening. The combination of tastes in every dish, was just a delight to the palate. The service and the ambience were just so nice. Well done to Bruce, Sandra and team
25/09/2025: This is an absolute gem in the heart of Kenmare. The food is fabulous and the menu tastefully designed. The staff are incredibly kind, hardworking and friendly. We had the special steak and Guinness pie, crab and lobster croquettes and the mushroom risotto, followed by the chocolate mousse and all washed down with a lovely Bordeaux. Our baby was welcome who thankfully sat quietly to sleep, no doubt aided by the warm and candlelit ambience and soft Irish rock music.
If we’re ever back in the area it would be a no brainer to come back. Thank you Mulcahy’s!

The Schoolhouse Bar
Dublin
18/10/2025: We stayed at The Schoolhouse Hotel in Dublin for our last night in Ireland, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Upon check-in, we were warmly greeted by Lorena, who was so welcoming and helpful. We had arrived early, and to our delight, our room was already ready — such a lovely surprise! The hotel had a homey, comfortable feel, with a nicely appointed room and a very comfortable bed, making it the ideal place to unwind before our early flight the next morning.
We also dined at the Schoolhouse Bistro, which was wonderfully convenient and truly exceptional. The space was dark, cozy, and full of charm, and the food was outstanding — both the dry-aged steak and chicken fillet “en croute” were absolutely delicious. The cocktails were top notch, and the service was second to none.
A special thank you to Iliana, Germano, Erick, and Lucag for making the evening so memorable with their warmth and professionalism. The entire experience was a perfect finale to our trip — highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant! 🇮🇪✨
17/10/2025: Out for a business lunch with a colleague at the restaurant. The restaurant is quite welcoming and when we walked in at 12.30PM, the place was empty. It took another 15-20min for every table to be occupied.
We ordered a Caesar Salad with Chicken, and a Pulled Chicken Sandwich. The food came quickly and the taste was quite good. The place is definitely worth a visit.

Tibhurca, Clonbur
25/10/2025: A traditional pub with live music and excellent food. Great for families with children.
19/10/2025: Really lovely country pub. Visited with the Irish Subaru Drivers Club as a final stop in our Doolough valley run.
The food was immensely tasty, and there's a huge amount of room in the back for dining, as well as a huge terrace overlooking the beautiful scenery as a smoking area.
I got roast lamb and spuds, and it was absolutely beautiful.
Well worth the spin.

Tony's Bistro
Cork
12/09/2025: The best place in Cork for breakfast. The food and service is phenomenal.
10/09/2025: First Irish breakfast in Ireland! I got the godfather and it was perfectly portioned, comes with tea, and I just love how thick the hash browns are here.
This restaurant is bustling with locals and very busy. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, but outdoor is much more limited.

John Kavanagh The Gravediggers
Dublin
06/11/2025: Visiting from NJ. Friends that live in Ireland took us here. What a cool place. Its what I always envisioned an Irish Pub to be like. Great pint of Guinness. Bartender was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place to stop in for a pint and good fun conversation
04/11/2025: Off the beaten path but very much a wonderful pub. Excellent coddle and one of the best Guinness pours near Dublin. Hopefully this stays as a hidden gem and doesn't become ridden with tourists like The Cobblestone has become over the past few years. Very much looking forward to our next visit at this lovely pub.
