Hidden gem in Galway! Amazing little spot with views of Lynch’s castle. We went here on a busy week (the day before St. Patrick’s Day) and the wait was less than 5 minutes. Food was fantastic!

Had an amazing time at this restaurant! Came in with zero expectations about the food or service, but left more than happily surprised. Everything was great, and the experience was even better thanks to our waiter, Sujata, who was an amazing hostess and made us feel really welcome. Would definitely come back here again!

One of those places that instantly feels like home. The people are incredibly welcoming, and Cata ❤️ is a big part of what makes it so lovely. Plus the steak sandwich is unreal. A must-visit in Galway.

We received a very warm welcome from the staff before opening time, given the very poor weather conditions outside. Valerio took our order and was very friendly; he speaks English, French, and Italian. I highly recommend him. The meal was hearty and delicious.

Such a lovely place, food was amazing I got the hot honey burger and it was delicious, very messy though 😆 and very big portions couldn’t finish it off. Staff were very friendly and checked in on me a few times which you wouldn’t get in some places.

30/12/2025: A very, very nice place. Great food. Great atmosphere with fairy lights and plants. The service was very friendly despite the large number of guests. It was really great. I think it would be better to have one more staff member during peak hours or when the city is busier.

04/04/2026: My friend and I stopped at Monroe's for lunch. We were blessed with the appearance of Remi, a friendly giant, who patrols the pub & check on guests (and their plates sometimes haha). The pub itself has a good atmosphere and very interesting signed posters on the ceiling! It was busy, but not chaotic busy. The staff was super friendly. We both ordered beef burgers, which were really really tasty, and of course, a pint of Guinness. We have also noticed the place hosts many gigs and other events, which is awesome!
