20/09/2025: Stopped in on a Wednesday night for a cheeseboard and wine for two. The prices were very reasonable, and the owner, Barry, was both knowledgeable and helpful. A great little spot.

15/11/2025: Often really busy, there is a long line up here around dinner time, so go early if you can! Really good pizza, nice wood fired crust and toppings, it has a really good sauce. The hot honey with pepperoni was fantastic, would definitely recommend. There are gluten free options as well if people need it.

14/11/2025: Have visited this place 7-8 times now. It is just amazing. The pizzas are great. My favorite is the Hail Ceaser Pizza. The ambiance is nice and perfect for a meal with friends and family. Would highly recommend this place to must-try when in Galway.

12/11/2025: Just had lunch here with my siblings. We were looked after by Dylan, Luis, and Niamh, whose service was nothing short of spectacular. The food was delicious and all the staff were in good spirits. We will be back soon!

11/11/2025: The absolute best chicken sandwich I have ever had. The rest of the family love the burgers. It's a treat to drop in for a quick meal. The staff's helpful and friendly. Not a lot of seating, chairs aren't the most comfortable, but the food makes up for it.

06/12/2025: Amazing food and even more amazing staff! They were super kind and still let us order pasta even though their kitchen had closed 10 minutes prior. My partner and I ordered the penne averno and fettuccini Luigi, and it was the best meal we had during our stay in Galway! We also ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza because it looked too good to pass on. Would recommend!!!

03/12/2025: 11 years ago, eating here made us feel less homesick... Today, it's still great. One of the best pizzerias you can find outside of Italy.

26/11/2025: My wife and I were visiting Ireland and this place was amazing. They live Irish music. With a few a cappella’s from the audience, which was awesome. Service was absolutely on point. The Guinness is flowing super good. I definitely highly recommend visiting this bar whenever in Galway great job team keep up the spirit and great service.

16/10/2025: This is a crazy good Italian restaurant. Pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. The waitress was so nice and friendly. She squeezed me in even though I didn't have a reservation. Check it out if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle in the city center.

05/12/2025: This is absolutely the best. The food is superb, the tastes, flavours, presentation, and portion size is perfect. The staff are happy, so friendly and nice. The bar and restaurant are gorgeous, warm, comfortable, and the music.. we loved it. We stayed until closing, why move. Where could be better. If I lived in Galway id be there every week. We got the inexpensive options..... under 20euro main course..... can you imagine what the 25 and 30 euro options taste like. The wine gin beer flowed, so we spent a good bit more ..

30/11/2025: I heard about this restaurant from a blogger. It was very good! I had the mussels (like the blogger recommended) and my husband had the fish and chips. Both dishes were very big and delicious! Prizes were very reasonable too. Service was a little slow at the bar but the place was packed for lunch at that time. Definitely get reservations since we barely were able to find a table at 2 pm.

14/11/2025: I booked last minute for a table for my family (two adults and two young children). On arrival the staff were so lovely and welcomed both us and the kids! They had a high chair ready should we need one. The atmosphere was so friendly and joyful. We never felt under pressure to curtail the kids, but they were surprisingly quiet and well behaved. The staff were all amazing. And the food was next level amazing! Even my two year old daughter who eats very little sat with her eyes closed chewing some pork saying it was “melicious”. Overall it was an amazing, calm and enjoyable family meal and we will most definitely return ❤️ thank you ❤️❤️❤️

12/11/2025: Second time here, both upstairs and downstairs are very recommended. Different flavour combinations then you see in most other places in galway and or ireland. Very much Recommended

08/11/2025: I had a beautiful gluten free pasta dish in Osteria de Simone. The helpful staff explained that almost all dishes could be made gluten free. They would use gluten free penne pasta for the dish. I ordered Mare e Monte and it was gorgeous. Prawns and mushrooms in a creamy parmesan sauce. A gluten free sign was in the dish to ensure that the correct dish went to the correct person. Great for a coeliac to see care like that taken. Thank you!

06/11/2025: In Oct 2025 we took a group of approx 40 young people + 8 youth workers to Osteria da Simone for dinner. Service was quick and the food was absolutely delicious, everyone really enjoyed their meals. The only issue we had was that the restaurant staff were still serving a family of 8 their deserts at our reserved tables when we arrived, so the 8 youth workers had to remain standing until the family had finished. The timing of that could have been better, but we didn't mind too much - we more so felt sorry for the family as when they realised that we were waiting for their seats, they began to rush their deserts. However, that was all solved in the first 15 mins or so, and we spent approx 2 hours in the restaurant. It was a lovely atmosphere, the kitchen was great at keeping on top of all of the orders and the waiting staff were quick when we asked for additional cutlery/waters etc. Thank you so much to all the staff of Osteria da Simone for a lovely dinner! We'll definitely be back.

21/10/2025: Came to have a pint and listen to tradition music but we're disappointed to find that the upstairs was full and it wasn't made clear online that the trad music was only certain times so we missed the show

17/09/2025: Great for some trad live music but have to get there early. Couldn’t even enter on Saturday but luckily got there early Sunday to get a spot.

03/12/2025: Amazing place, lovely staff and delicious food. Their cappuccino was super creamy and delicious, and cake I had next to it was very unique in taste and well combined with sauces. Full breakfast was superb too. Definitely would recommend.

02/12/2025: 10/10 I always enjoy my time here for either brunch or dinner. The food is absolutely delicious! Our waiter was outstanding, providing attentive and wonderful service. Plus, the wine was delightful! 🍷🥂
