The best restaurants in Galway

13/07/2026: They say 30 minutes to everyone who walks in but Average wait an hour. Also very long wait for food. Kitchen serves 2 floors. Not bad but not worth wait.

12/07/2026: The food was very good, the Irish coffee exquisite, and the service from the Brazilian waitress Judy was unbeatable.

06/07/2026: Honestly, best food in town. The warmest place in Galway for me. The owners, the staff, the incredible beergarden. Great Guinness!!! Watching a football match outside in the beergarden is my favorite thing to do on any given night. It's giving home vibes. Fav pub in Galway without a doubt.

29/06/2026: Not accustomed to the local restaurant hours, we were lucky to find Murty Rabbitt's kitchen still open at 9 pm. We were looking for the local lamb stew after having already enjoyed the fish dishes, and Murty's fulfilled our request. We tried their traditional Irish Lamb Stew, with potatoes, carrots, and smashed potatoes on top, and their famous Steak Sandwich. The portions were generous and truly tasty, especially the sandwich with the slow-cooked meat, which was truly tender and juicy. It was all washed down with two pints of Guinness. The price was fair for the portion and quality. The restaurant is well-kept and the interior is decorated in a charming color scheme, a bit more elegant than the classic Irish pub.

12/07/2026: Loved Sheridans. Expert advice and plenty of amazing local cheese. Also sell crackers and meat products like salami so you can buy everything for a great aperitif. You can taste plenty of cheeses before you buy. Very reasonably priced. For the non-english speakers : there was a French student working there this summer so you can even ask questions in French if need be. Definitely recommend this place, very central too

05/07/2026: We enjoyed excellent wine and a delicious selection of cheeses and meats. The restaurant is accessed via the stairs on the left.

30/07/2026: Best American Pancakes I have had so far (and I’ve lived in the US). The normal serving size (2 pancakes) is very big. My partner and I both couldn’t finish ours so maybe we’ll share next time or order one each. ◡̈ Definitely worth the hype. ^^

03/08/2026: Having heard this cafe is ranked 32nd globally, we made sure to stop by during our brief time in Galway. It’s a cozy, bustling shop, but the queue moved quickly. While you cannot customize your coffee beans, their house roast is exceptional and delivers exactly as described; it worked beautifully in a flat white, offering a remarkably fruity, flavor forward cup. Because indoor seating is limited, we opted for takeaway, but if you are fortunate enough to secure a table, it’s a wonderful place to sit and enjoy your drink.

14/07/2026: It was okay, not great. Staff were quick to take your order, but ignored you after that. No craic. No personal touch. The guy on the counter seemed nice.

26/07/2026: This place has a really nice interior and vibe to it. The cocktails were good, but a bit pricey. Unfortunately the food was a let down. To start I ordered the prawn pil pil and was brought a prawn salad. I sent it back and then when I got the prawn pil pil it was very disappointed, there was no flavour at all - I had to add a lot of salt and the prawns weren’t great quality. Working in a kitchen myself I understand the annoyance of an order being sent back, but it seems as there was no effort put into the dish. The waiters didn’t apologise for the mistake and overall it was very pricey. I would recommend this place for cocktails but not food.

09/07/2026: The pancakes was really tasty, awesome! But if your weight is 75kg or you are a girl, just take one plate of pancakes for two. The portion is really big. I suggesting you this place 10/10
