23/04/2025: Place itself is fine, but me and my friend went inside to check the vibe, my friend used the bathroom and we decided to leave and find a place more our vibe, owner ran after us, rudely told us how disrespectful we are for not saying hello to him and how we didn't ask for permission to use the bathroom (???). Very disgusted by the owner, will never return and I strongly discourage anyone who's normal and wants a good experience. Once again, nice place but the owner is a giant a hole

06/05/2025: We had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately the food and the atmosphere leave a lot to be desired. The food (we ordered fish and chicken) tastes like something you can expect to be fed on the airplane, and the omnipresent AC units and cheaply decorated walls spoil any hope of charm. Overall - a tourist trap. Don’t be us and put more effort in finding a good restaurant.

21/12/2024: Myself and one of my friends had the teriyaki chicken don and it tasted so good. The chicken was marinated and the rice mixed with the sauce was heavenly and a great mix of savoury and sweet. The egg was chopped up very finely and had a soft texture and the green beans had a very refreshing flavour and I think it was blanched so it had a very refreshing crunch to it! Some of the juices sunk down to the bottom of the bowl and it was such a sweet and delicious flavour. I would say we waited quite a while but there was only one cook when we went so it made sense. The inside is decorated really well and the atmosphere felt really welcoming. My other friend had the tempura sushi roll and miso soup and she really enjoyed it. Price wise, you are definitely getting more than what you paid for. I've paid more in other restaurants for less amounts of food. I paid €18 for the teriyaki chicken don and I would definitely say I got my money's worth. The wait was like 40 minutes for 3 people and it was quite empty, so if you are on a tight schedule you might not want to go, but I personally don't mind waiting 40 minutes for a meal. 10/10 I would really recommend to go and I'm definitely going again!! 🤤🤤🙏🙏

25/05/2025: We had a great dinner here after our Aran Island tour. Short walk from the docks and were able to grab a table at 6pm on a Sunday night with no reservation. Fish and chips enjoyed by a few, others had a burger or supreme of chicken. Onion rings were very good! Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert was tasty!

27/03/2025: Located around the corner from Eyre Square, it’s a lovely hotel we used just for an overnight in Galway City for St. Patrick’s Day. The room, bed, and bathroom were clean and very comfortable. The bathroom has both a great shower and large tub to suit anyone’s preference. Minibar in-room is fully stocked if you’re so inclined despite all the great pubs in Galway. Restaurant serves a nice almost full Irish breakfast (no beans, sad face), and the bartenders were friendly while we burned time prior to a dinner reservation. Parking was included in the rate, which was a plus considering the holiday and festivities. Front desk staff were very kind and even let us check into our room very early. Great visit!

26/04/2025: Great place to visit and have drinks. Bartenders are super friendly and enjoy chatting it up with customers. If you are looking for the ultimate Irish Pub feel you found it at O’Connells Bar.

22/04/2025: A really quaint pub with a great atmosphere. The Guinness costs around €6 per pint and there is a bar and pizzeria in the back yard.

10/05/2025: I had the Buffalo hot wings. The spice level was spot on and the flavor was perfection!

10/05/2025: We were visiting Galway for the first time and happened upon Scotty's. We had the burger special and were very happy with our meals. The burgers and chips were delicious. We were so impressed with our meals that we returned the next night. Hubby had wings and I had another burger. Fabulous meals again. Jenny and Scotty are so nice, as is their staff. We highly recommend Scotty's!

12/05/2025: I liked it better before. First of all, thanks to the hostess. Very hospitable, cheerful, friendly. The rest change frequently. The result is not very good. It's a pity. But the choice of teas is large, although not cheap. There are cakes and sweets. Nice ambience inside and you can sit outside as well as in the hidden cozy courtyard. In good weather we are very happy, interesting and pleasant to relax. Lately, we’ve been taking teas with us more often to brew at home. We'll add photos later, they are in another phone, and this is a completely different place (just kidding). The cafe is really tiny, but cozy

28/04/2025: An absolute gem in Galway! We came here for brunch and it was so good!! There are a couple of Vegan and Gluten Free options which I require because of allergies, but I loved what I got (overnight oats jar and acai bowl). From the specialty coffee and teas to the main dishes and even the homemade desserts, the food is great. Then the ambiance tops it all off making it a 10/10 experience.

07/02/2025: Pedí el "Pastel de los Pastores" y estaba extremadamente decepcionado. Demasiado ajo en polvo y dudoso "puré de patatas". Muy seco a pesar de añadir una jarra de "jus". Me fui 1/2. Si un restaurante tiene una cocina abierta, entonces los chefs al menos deben actuar profesionalmente. Fui testigo de tantas infracciones HACCP que fue aterrador. Picando comida y comiendo sin lavarse las manos. Rascarse el cabello sin lavarse las manos.

21/01/2025: Went here for lunch and ordered the fish and chips. Lovely crispy batter on 3 nicely sized pieces of fish with ample chips, a delicious little salad and a pot of tartar sauce. Service was quick and friendly and the price for what I got was very reasonable.

24/05/2025: It's hard to compliment someone for knowing how to cook rice, cause it's the only thing that was good! We had nachos and a burrito bowl and they were both very poor. And they also had music in the kitchen so loud that you could hear it from the outside and it was mixing with the music in the dining area. All in all, not a good experience, we were starving and we left half of the food, that's all I'm saying.
