The best restaurants in Galway

23/10/2024: One of the best fries I've ever eaten so far. There are different salt spices. We chose curry salt and ayoli as a dip. They make the fries themselves and it is an absolute recommendation to eat there!

02/11/2024: Got the traditional Brittany pancakes, they were tasty and so fast to arrive! The place has a great atmosphere, but I’d say the highlight would be the waitress called Romane, she was very friendly and kind. I will definitely be going back!

20/10/2024: Popped in for two vanilla lattes. Lovely ladies behind the counter, fast and easy service. Fantastic coffee, made with care and reasonably priced, plus we got a little chocolate with it. 10/10 best coffee in Loughrea.

03/11/2024: Great seafood just out the centre of Galway! We had the seafood chowder, mussels, hooked fish tacos and chips! All were excellent and very fresh. Personal fav was the seafood chowder. Also very good value for money! Can't book a table for 2 but we only had to wait 15 mins on a Saturday eve

01/11/2024: The starter tacos are very good and tasty, while the main courses we ordered were quite disappointing, to say the least (seafood risotto and fish pie). They lacked flavor, salt, and spices. I would cook better myself, but, alas, we are traveling.

12/11/2024: Visited November 2024. This place is fantastic! Food, service and atmosphere were terrific. They use mostly local ingredients and decor. The "Irish cocktail" pairing was different than most Michelin pairings and very good. They gave me a signed cookbook at the end of the night.

30/10/2024: Magic is real, and JP McMahon is a sorcerer. He created things we still can't wrap our heads around. Things that melt in your mouth or look like something else entirely. Aniar serves art shrouded in love. You can taste how much the chef loves his country and tries to show appreciation to all the beauty Ireland has to offer. The restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but the inside is captivating, showcasing elements of the ingredients being used. His staff is kind, welcoming, and absolutely charming. They really made our night even more special. Experiencing Aniar was a marvel that will stay with me, in my heart, forever. It encapsulates everything Ireland is and more. The kindness, the stories, the enthusiasm to share culture. We are so very grateful to have been a part of it. Thank you, Team Aniar. We are touched.

11/10/2024: We have eaten here during our short stay in galway. Food was VERY good and the staff is extremly friendly

30/09/2024: Lovely friendly service. Ordered the Prawn Pad Thai (one of my most favourite dishes) - it was excellent. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

30/10/2024: Food was OK generally on our table. One person didn't like theirs at all. Mix up with my order so was compd but then it appeared on the bill. Service generally wasn't great. None of us would go back unfortunately.

07/11/2024: My husband and myself popped into Garavans on Monday for a drink while we were visiting Galway for a couple days. We ended up staying for the evening, the craic was that good ! Nice creamy pints of Guinness, friendly staff who love a chat and we had great banter with fellow customers including locals, Americans, Aussies and English. Great music playing on the sound system too. The owner Gordon a right character and Niamh, Dylan and Pat lovely as well. Will definitely be back here soon, fabulous pub.

03/11/2024: Que lastimas que sea un lugar tan bonito ,pero el servicio pésimo la cata de la cava un pobre explicación y lo que corona con broche de oro desde la entrada a la recepción de alimentos al restaurante y el servicio pésimo

10/11/2024: We ate here again last night and it doesn’t get old. The food (chicken and steak) were delicious as were the yummy cocktails and we had great service from the girl who served us. This is my favourite winter pub in Galway. It had a fantastic atmosphere with its low lighting and cosy corners everywhere. See you soon!

17/11/2024: It is just a very fun and authentic Irish pub. I just got drinks there with live music. Very cool atmosphere. Prices are standard.

04/11/2024: Cant recommend this place enough. We were a group of 20 plus who had travelled to Galway for the day for a football tournament. From booking to the meal itself we couldn't fault the service we got. Food was fantastic and all the staff were lovely. Thank you Sean and your team for a great evening.

27/09/2024: We are so excited, it was a wonderful time we were able to spend with David and Emma. His kindness made us forget the dilemma of our car breakdown for two days. If you visit Galway you have to stop there for the best coffee in the world!!!
