01/05/2025: Had breakfast here a few times, service is always great and super efficient, the food is solid too , great scrambled eggs , avocado and salsa super tasty , fried breakfast tasty too , would prefer some toast over the brown bread served with it but ya overall its always a solid spot.

19/05/2025: Go there most days for a pint. The Murphy's there is probably the best in Galway and Andy the bartender is top notch. He really knows his stuff.

19/05/2025: Andy was the best. Great place great drinks and food. If you go to Galway stop in and have a pint. Atmosphere is great and prices were reasonable.

25/05/2025: Tourist trap now food expensive, small portions and not taste great as before. Too busy and staff all over the place lost. Avoid it if you can. Menu said one thing arrives other. On the menu said ciabatta bread and served normal bread.

25/05/2025: We landed here shortly after arriving so my memory was mostly one of relief at being able to sit down and get food and a pint. The service was great and the food good. I wouldn't confuse it for gourmet but it was solid. My one regret? Not buying on of their shirts. Trust me, get one.

18/04/2025: This is our last stop for 3 nights. But when we came here, they told us our stay doesn't start till the day after. The hotel found out that's an error on their system, so they found us a nearby hotel as it was fully booked that night. We decided to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant before heading out. Out of expectation, they offered to pay for our meal, our taxi to the new hotel. When we come back the next day, they upgraded us to a suite room with such amazing view of Galway city and left a lovely note with a box of chocolate. What a great customer service! Highly recommend this hotel. They went above and beyond to ensure we have an enjoyable stay and we surely did!

18/04/2025: Amazing few days away with my husband to celebrate his 40th. Beautiful hotel and food was just delicious. There was work been done one of the mornings on a room very close by but when we called down to reception the manager moved us to a suite. Just fantastic customer service and we will definitely be back to visit and have recommended to all friends and family. Thank you 👏👍

19/05/2025: All sorts of dirty and garbage around the window sills by the front entrance was a bad 1st impression and we were concerned right off the bat. However, staff were fantastic when we came in and got a late dinner and that was very good. I couldn't figure out how to temperature control the room so we slept with the inside windows open however it was still quite warm. The 2nd night we went in the lounge / bar for a drink, sat there for about 30 minutes and no one came over to us so we went back to our room. Overall, the place seems well maintained but there was dramatic inconsistency which I've described.

14/05/2025: We wanted scones with clotted cream and ended up at the Cosy Cafe. Very friendly service and delicious scones. Plus, a lovely spot outside in the sun.

22/03/2025: Sheridan's Cheesemongers is a wonderful store that not only has cheese, but many food products that go well with cheese. There are many choices of Irish cheese which is wonderful and exactly what I want when I'm trying to eat in the locale. Definitely worth a stop if you love cheese.

28/05/2025: Ooh la la! Red is a real winner!!! First of all, the restaurant itself exudes a warm, almost familial atmosphere that's impossible to resist. The welcome is cordial and very friendly from the moment you enter, the service is cheerful and very professional: they explain the two menus in detail, and they also advise you on wines. Yes, two menus, including one for those with a small appetite. You can choose between several dishes and several sides or between several platters on the menus, and vegetarians are not forgotten. Everything is mastered in the dishes: the quality of the ingredients, the cooking, the presentation. I absolutely recommend the beef fillet with a pepper sauce, accompanied by fries or gratin dauphinois. A glass of Chardonnay and a Bailey's coffee to "wash it all down." The little extras: a small food warmer on the table and the possibility of booking online. A must-see destination, you won't regret your culinary experience. I blushed... with pleasure!

14/05/2025: This place was very near our apartment. We went there for a birthday celebration and all 4 of us had steak as well as sharing a bottle of red wine. Best steak in ages, mine was a perfect medium rare and it was an excellent choice.

19/02/2025: Quite possibly the best coffee in Ireland made with true love. Really funky clean Scandi vibes place with a design studio, art and books on two upstairs levels, and cool music playing. We had a flat white, cortado and short Americano, each of which was perfect. If I lived in Galway I would go every day.

18/02/2025: Galway’s hidden gem offers an amazing specialty coffee experience. I tried their espresso and filter coffee, and I was thoroughly impressed with the espresso. They have a wide variety of filter options available on their retail shelf, and they’re always busy, so be prepared to wait. It’s a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts looking for a great coffee experiment. .
