12/11/2024: We are so glad we stumbled upon this place during our stay in Galway. This is a one man show, a small restaurant with a limited but exemplary menu. The authentic Japanese cuisine was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

07/11/2024: Kappa-ya, one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in Galway, Ireland, offers delicious and savory cuisine. As far as I know, it's the only restaurant in the area that serves pork tonkatsu. I will definitely come back here again.

17/11/2024: Went for a meal with friends, and the food did not disappoint. Really tasty burger along with loaded fries. Reasonable prices too. The service was a little slow from the waitress to take our order but other than that a very good experience.

25/10/2024: Freddy's is a pizza and pasta restaurant. I got the Spaghetti Bolgenese and it was very tasty! The waitress was very nice and friendly. The service was quick I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some tasty pizza or pasta!!

15/05/2024: I had the best latte here, and the sausage roll was delicious as well! The barista is so friendly and created a really welcoming atmosphere. Love the cute decor of the shop and I enjoyed flipping through their coffee magazines they had at the tables. It’s also nice that they offer a discount for ordering in Irish.

27/04/2024: Cozy spot for great specialty coffee. Service is the friendliest and makes every experience stopping by extremely pleasant. I also recommend their chai latte and hot chocolate (though it’s on the sweet side). They have really lovely baked goods from Kai, and always include a few vegan ones in the selection. The banana cake is my favorite!

10/11/2024: Authentic Irish pub experience and the best Guinness I’ve ever had

04/11/2024: Ahh Neachtains. I give it plenty of opportunities because I admire the cultural artsy vibe that populates the pub, but I'm often somewhat disappointed with the experience. Yesterday's one was more of the same., unfortunately. Waiting up to 15 minutes for a lukewarm plate of chips and a bang-average glass of Guinness makes me lose any sympathy for the heavily hit hospitality industry here, especially with the prices charged.

27/10/2024: If you like fine dining, but don't fancy the prudish atmosphere of most other fine dining establishments, you should definitely come to this place. Eating in a nice, friendly atmosphere makes the food even more delicious, although it's already pretty delicious on its own. We had appetizer, main course and dessert and everything was interesting and delicious. The portions were a good size and you'd be totally full with just one main course (be warned about the chocolate mouse for dessert, it's really huge). Would have it again anytime.

14/10/2024: I really wanted to like this place, so I’ll start by saying I will definitely be giving them a second chance. Service, fantastic. Atmosphere, charming and lively. The food was the downfall of this visit. I ordered the croquetas de yuca (yuca croquettes) and canoa de berenjena (stuffed eggplant canoe). The croquetas were cold on the inside and mildly warm on the outside as though they weren’t fried long enough. Unfortunately didn’t have much flavor but i’m going to chalk that up to not being cooked properly. Stuffed with gorgonzola and topped with a tamarind sauce. The eggplant was ironic because it smelled fantastic, but was surprisingly bland. Stuffed with spicy pork and plantain, topped with Parmesan and what I assume was a balsamic type of sauce. The eggplant was cooked quite well, but the spicy pork had almost no kick to it and the plantain was tough. Again it was like there was no seasoning put into this dish and they relied solely on the ingredients stated above for flavor. All in all I’ll be ordering different dishes the next time I go back because this place comes highly recommended and sometimes places have off nights.
