A bit hidden from the street, which actually was nice since it was so busy that day in Galway. The food was delicious. We had the lamb tagine and the sweet lamb tagine, which came in big portions. The service was great as well! They offered everyone a jug of water for deze, which was extra welcome because of the heat outside. There's no alcohol on the menu, but you can grab an alcoholic drink in the bar downstairs and bring it to the restaurant.

Such a hole in the wall cozy calm place away from the noise of latin quarters. Food was really really good. Ordered a soup and a falafel plate. Falafel was light (not oily) and fluffy. The side salad was delicious. The bread with soup was lovely as well. Highly recommend this place!

We visited last week and it saved our night! We were 6 people without a reservation including 3 toddlers! They were able to get us in AND were amazingly accommodating to us including getting the kids’ food out quickly and being generally so friendly and responsive. We honestly stopped in because we saw they served pizza and needed to feed hungry kids, but we were blown away by our “adult” food too—it was so great. I highly recommend for anyone in Galway!

Excellent pasta, the thicker kind. Loaded with seafood. The overall effect is perfect! The best pizza I've had in Ireland. The service was friendly and helpful. The pizza I took away was still getting compliments a few hours later, so it was well made.

Honestly incredible. All the dishes were delicious but the bread was to die for. They make the pita fresh to order so they come out steaming. Same with the garlic breads. Worth a visit just for the bread alone

We snuck into this restaurant on a trip thru Galway, and we sure are glad we did. It felt like we took the stairs to a different world apart from Ireland! We had the yummiest falafel on the world’s best pita bread! The vegetable tangine was absolutely delicious! Definitely stop in here for lunch or dinner!!

John Keogh's

29/07/2026: As a Celiac I appreciated the dedication they take on cross contamination and their gluten free options available. I had their GF fish and chips and it was amazing. They even had a GF IPA on tap. Highly recommended.

Carroll's on Dominick Street

17/07/2026: Wife and I stumbled across this pub walking home from dinner on a summer Thursday night. It was an amazing experience, hard to describe, but maybe like walking into a large Irish musical family's home. About 15 musicians ranging in age from perhaps 80 to 25, sitting in a circle, and jamming out Irish jigs and ballads. Not sure how often it happens, but if it's on, you should go!
07/07/2026: Great evening with a group on Friday. Staff very accommodating, atmosphere brilliant. We all had a great night.
