There's sushi and then there's The Sushi and the art of making it with care, taste and precision. Everything I had was created with love for the food, presentation and balance in taste. I had the Kara-age, salmon omakase, miso soup and salmon cucumber rolls. The owner explained kindly to me that they make their own miso soup with Shiitake and the miso was one of the best I hyve ever had. Sincere Thank you very much for the experience, delicious food and kind chats to your last client of the day. Will be back next time when in Galway!

This was such a lovely, calming experience. It was a very intimate setting and the Agedashi Tofu and Miso Soup were really tasty.

Lovely little place for sushi. Interesting selection on the menu and the sushi itself was nice and fresh. Tried some nigiri and some rolls, very tasty. Miso soup was hearty and not just your typical few pieces of tofu and some seaweed, it had more depth. Really cosy like a sushi place in Japan.

I cannot speak highly enough of this beutiful authentic restaurant. My Dad & I came for a brief lunch while stopping over for a wedding, we both agreed it was the best sushi we had ever tried, if you are here you have to try their amazingly cooked Monkfish & Nigira 8piece pictured below. Their deserts were even more spectacular🤤. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants to dine in within all of Ireland.

Favorite restaurant experience in Galway.
This place is tiny, so please make reservations. We were lucky to stumble upon Wa Sushi before an evening rush. There is only one low table, if sitting at counter height isn’t possible or comfortable, let the host know. The host/server was attentive and had great descriptions of the chef’s specials.
The cocktails were delicious and beautiful. The presentation of all the food was lovely. This experience was intimate with a pleasant pacing for each course. The bar area gives a great vantage point to see the dishes being prepared and garnished.
The oysters were transcendent: fresher and more flavorful than any others I’ve had.
The tuna maki were generous in the ratio of marinated tuna to rice and seaweed. The salmon was tender and flaky in the best way.
If you want the best sushi and raw oysters in Galway, you need to visit Wa Sushi

I've eaten my share of oysters, but WA raised the bar into the stratosphere. Yes, it's a pricier place. Yes, the portions are on the lean side. Put that aside and savor the craftsmanship of a master Itamae.
