09/07/2026: Small restaurant, in places where i will never aspect to be... very good and quick service, Starter wings one of my best wings in Ireland! Crispy scin, soft meat and tasty, Pad Thay ceispy duck with noodles also amazing a lot flavour, Good size portion, I will recommend this place to everyone who want to try good Thay food!!! I will come back there definitely!!!

08/07/2026: The location, a warehouse, is sketchy, but the place is clean and the food is delicious - very flavorful. The service leaves much to be desired.

02/06/2026: When we arrived we were given a free upgrade to a bigger suite as it was my birthday .Huge busy hotel .Staff excellent .Rooms spotless .Music in the bar that night was very enjoyable .Have to say that for such a busy hotel I was really impressed at breakfast time at the speed at which everyone was seated .Tables were cleaned .Beverages served .Loads of buffet breakfast availible and food was good too

05/08/2026: OMG the carbonara was as good as in best Italian restaurants. The guy who invited us in was doing basically everything - a robot of a serviceman and was so nice in all of it... Do not have pics - ate it asap. Highly recommend.

04/08/2026: Very Italian pizza, quite good, the Moretti on tap was perfectly poured, and the prices were moderate. Michele's service was excellent (grazie mille!), but it was very noisy, especially because many Irish parents think their (very) young children should adapt to their lifestyle, not the other way around. And of course, they get tired, cry, shout, and ruin dinner for everyone else. I felt so embarrassed for the children.

17/07/2026: Excellent seafood chowder, great atmosphere, and warm staff. This place was a very appropriate introduction to Galway.

14/07/2026: Classic Irish pub with lots of nooks and crannies and booths to have a private seat with friends. Lovely atmosphere and great service.

23/07/2026: Only popped in for one or two, ended up staying all evening. Lovely atmosphere, staff and even the doorman! Perfect Guinness too!

21/04/2026: They have a great variety to choose from. Everything on the menu is ALWAYS fresh and so tasty. It's always our go to when we want a fast food takeaway. The difference with Jack Jordans is that it's not fast food. Everything is cooked to order and it's always worth the few minutes wait. Definitely a cut above all the other fast food places. The crew are genuinely friendly, happy to help and have a chat kind of people.

30/07/2026: Went here for a bite to eat mid day. We sat outside. Food and service was wonderful. A little bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Will be back.

22/10/2025: Location was wonderful. the staff was very kind and tried to be as helpful as possible… Rooms were very outdated, extremely dusty/musty, beds very uncomfortable, Wi-Fi didn’t work half the time & AC was broken with inability to be fixed. The room also smelled terribly of a nursing home which did not dissipate at all with our windows open for two days.

21/10/2025: Such a great spot! I was visiting Galway for a few days with my family, and we could not have picked a better location. All the staff were so kind. Henrique at reception in particular was incredibly helpful and very fun to converse with.

27/05/2026: I didn't stay there, but I went to eat tapas and everything was simply wonderful! And the girls working on the floor were really friendly, too! I'll definitely be back!

25/05/2026: Ordered the cheese plate, panko hake, carrots, garlic potatoes with spinach and tomatoes. It was all so delicious 🤤 staff were very friendly and accommodating.

30/03/2026: Nice place with two lovely cabins for 4, with a view to the street. The cod was very juice and fresh. Soup of the day was vegetable with some cream... Caesar salad was great!

18/07/2026: Lovely place. We went in the summer so we seated outside with a great river view. The restaurant atmosphere is great and service is excellent. Great location in Galway town. Food was fantastic. They also have good variety of wine available. If you are around and like Italian food this is place is an excellent option.

17/07/2026: Before our trip to Ireland, we asked an Irish friend for recommendations. His only suggestion was to have dinner at an Italian restaurant in Galway. We were amused at first, but now we completely understand why—Il Vicolo is fantastic. From its romantic waterfront setting to the warm, attentive service and exceptional food, we felt transported to Italy. Every dish was perfectly prepared, from the scallops and osso bucco to the fresh, perfectly al dente pasta. We finished with a delicious tiramisu featuring a subtle touch of locally distilled whiskey, a uniquely Irish twist on an Italian classic. Now if someone asks me for Ireland recommendations, I too will be recommending an Italian restaurant!

03/07/2026: I was down at Easter visiting my son and grandchildren. Wow your food was amazing (my only complaint is why my son hadn't taken me there before). The staff where so friendly and welcoming. The food was so tasty even the grandchildren ate all of their meals. I can't wait for my next trip down. Thanks for the beautiful meals.

22/07/2026: Lovely little café with quality coffee and great customer service. Great variety of cakes and sandwiches ,and also a good selection of gluten free cakes . Nice atmosphere and a pleasant experience.

19/07/2026: Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully prepared. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had a really nice atmosphere. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Bake Box to anyone looking for great food and excellent service!

23/06/2026: Had breakfast there once and just had to go back the next day on our last morning in Galway. Great menu options well prepared with great fresh ingredients. Great coffee. Staff is so friendly and attentive. And they're open nice and early for morning people like us.
