05/01/2026: We have had our staff party at Buskers for the past 2 years and have always had a great service. Will be booking again next year!

03/01/2026: The food was barely edible, we all felt slightly sick afterwards, the staff were great, super attentive and friendly!

19/11/2025: The music is too loud, the seating is subpar, the patrons are often obnoxious. The best part about it is the kind staff, and the cool art around the place. But that cannot save this place from bad clientele. Oh, and the drinks are too expensive.

21/12/2024: Myself and one of my friends had the teriyaki chicken don and it tasted so good. The chicken was marinated and the rice mixed with the sauce was heavenly and a great mix of savoury and sweet. The egg was chopped up very finely and had a soft texture and the green beans had a very refreshing flavour and I think it was blanched so it had a very refreshing crunch to it! Some of the juices sunk down to the bottom of the bowl and it was such a sweet and delicious flavour. I would say we waited quite a while but there was only one cook when we went so it made sense. The inside is decorated really well and the atmosphere felt really welcoming. My other friend had the tempura sushi roll and miso soup and she really enjoyed it. Price wise, you are definitely getting more than what you paid for. I've paid more in other restaurants for less amounts of food. I paid €18 for the teriyaki chicken don and I would definitely say I got my money's worth. The wait was like 40 minutes for 3 people and it was quite empty, so if you are on a tight schedule you might not want to go, but I personally don't mind waiting 40 minutes for a meal. 10/10 I would really recommend to go and I'm definitely going again!! 🤤🤤🙏🙏

26/10/2025: This place was so good we went back a second time while in Galway. We had the Irish Rib Steak Sandwich both times and the taste and flavor were spot-on. Prices were reasonable. Only thing they didn’t have was music but the good and drinks make up for that.

12/09/2025: Huge selection of on tap beers. Sorry Dave they don't have fosters anymore. Place is clean and service prompt. Average about 6euro a pint.

30/12/2025: I first visited years ago when a local shop owner recommended it to me after seeing my surname. The food and drink here are great! You can have a light offering if you’re here right when they open. (The shop owner was from “Galway Bay Gifts” which is now closed sadly). Nevertheless, I’m glad of him for his recommendations not only here but even having taking my mother and I under his wing a bit. Tigh Neachtain’s is a lovely and iconic spot in Galway. I visit every chance I can.

28/12/2025: Food was nice but slow.but it was busy. However I was pissed that we were placed right beside the back door. It was freezing when staff walked in and out.and there were other areas to sit.

30/11/2025: Food was savage. The service was great. It was a bit loud. Think people were trying to talk over the music. But will definitely be back👌👌 the food was worth it.

22/01/2026: Favorite spot in Galway when we’re in town

01/01/2026: Went here for new years, had a great time upstairs waiting for the countdown, there was board games available etc, staff were lovely and friendly, however upon the countdown we went downstairs to the bar, a DJ was present, and obviously too busy and the whole pub missed the entire countdown, leaving myself and everyone very disappointed, what kinda people don’t countdown the new year?!

20/11/2025: Had lunch. Chowder was watery Fish special on chorizo and bean in tomato base isn't nice. Why not keep it simple. I seems like a pretentious effort to be different for the sake of being different. Dinner cold apart from fish. Again why watery chowder instead of the expected normal creamy version. Maybe call this out on the menu. Offer what the majority will enjoy and not the few.

25/11/2025: Had a great meal and some wine, reasonably priced. Well worth another visit...

12/11/2025: Went here 3 times in the past never had a problem. Tried to go today with my 1 year old 2 friends and my partner. The waitress made me feel so unwelcome. Made me feel like it was an issue that I had a baby and a stroller. Felt really uncomfortable and embarrassed we ended up leaving after 5 minutes and not getting anything. Don’t treat young parents who are just trying to go out and enjoy themselves like that, I have just as much right as anyone to go into the restaurant. Wouldn’t go here again after that treatment. Shameful

23/01/2026: After more than 10 years in Galway, Rouge remains my go-to for an exceptional meal and a true taste of France in Ireland. The starters are wonderfully original—four different tasting bites perfect for sharing with friends. I typically order the fillet with gratin dauphinois, and it's always a delight. The wine selection consistently impresses, and I usually go with the owner's recommendations. They really know their wines. For dessert, the chocolate dome is an absolute must-try! It's also the perfect spot for a romantic evening in a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely joyful. I can even speak French with some of them, which is a lovely touch! The price point is honestly very reasonable for Galway, especially considering it includes a full three-course meal of exceptional quality.
