08/10/2025: Had some high expectations visiting Kai.
The food was okay, but I wouldn't say Michelin star worthy. The fish was very salty.
Staff was very distant and we didn't feel welcome. Won't come back again.
03/10/2025: So looking forward to this night in Galway, however we were somewhat disappointed with the overall service.
We have given the food a generous 3 stars.
Pork chop was nearly cold and the Steak although cooked to a beautiful medium rare was tough to chew, not what you would expect given the recent reviews.
We did not feel any connection with the staff, almost dismissed of any connection .
I don’t think we will be returning.
Price in this case did not match the overall expectations of Kai Galway

20/09/2025: Saturday 30th August 2025 had the pleasure of enjoying bottomless brunch to celebrate my daughter turning 21. From the moment we were seated we were looked after so we'll by all your staff. One server Ruth was fantastic she is a treasure. The food was unreal. We will be back again soon thank you for such incredible cocktails, food and 10/10 hospitality.
07/09/2025: Great food for large numbers and great service . Only thing that needs improving would be the cleanliness of the bathrooms . They should be attended more regulary

15/10/2025: It's touted on social media as a must-do in Galway, but unfortunately, it doesn't live up to the hype. We had fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was okay, but the chips and beans weren't tasty at all. It's not exactly cheap either; I'd go to another restaurant for THE meal in Galway.
14/10/2025: The worse and the most expensive fish and chips I had in my life. The fish wasn’t cooked thoroughly even though it was soaked in the butter coating grease. Immediately had the runs!
Wouldn’t recommend not only for the food but overall not a good experience.

26/09/2025: In a place that specialises in pancakes I ended up going for something more savoury as I wasn't feeling like pancakes. The brunch bagel was lovely and very filling paired with a coconut milk cappuccino. Will have to be back to try the famous pancakes 😊

09/10/2025: Very unfriendly and unprofessional staff in this establishment were serving a customer seems like a major chore to them. The turnover in staff is frequent and most of them look like they don't want to be working there. Would not recommend due to the treatment of customers by the untrained and unprofessional staff. Food is good, but no service with a smile... mostly minimum service with a grunt! Loads of other fine restaurants and pub grub in Galway to eat where staff or a lot more friendly to their customers.
29/09/2025: Excellent restaurant. A short wait before being able to get a table (10 min). The Prime Irish Burger is very good and the price was reasonable for a Saturday night.

05/08/2025: Got two beautiful cakes and some cupcakes for a wedding celebration. Everything was ready on time and everything was absolutely delicious and stunningly presented.
12/06/2025: Got my son’s christening cake here and I have to say it tasted so delicious and everyone was asking where I got it. Highly recommended. We went for raspberry and white chocolate.

11/07/2025: Paramos aquí para tomar una merienda. La comida estaba realmente buena. Pedimos 2 sándwiches de queso feta, 1 sándwich de pavo y 1 galleta con chispas de chocolate. Todo estuvo genial. El pan de masa madre para los sándwiches estaba delicioso. El feta smash tenía mucho queso y pimiento rojo asado.

15/07/2025: Called in for Coffee and a Bar of Chocolate when I stopped in Salthill. Very reasonable priced. The sky was so low and visibility bad for driving just needed some coffee. Didn't know food was available

20/10/2025: Went on a Saturday evening and wisely booked as it was pretty busy for 5pm to treat my brother and family for his birthday, lovely welcome and I must say all the waiting staff were warm friendly and helpful. Menu was packed with something for everyone especially as three of the party were vegan but the highlight was what usually disappoints after a lovely dinner DESSERT, huge range of sundaes and big portions, overall bill was very fair and will DEFINITELY be back when next in Galway
