The best restaurants in Galway

08/11/2025: Unbeatable location, excellent service, and they offer a delicious breakfast at The Skeff—wonderful. I'm returning completely charmed by the big, honest hearts of the Irish people.

07/11/2025: The hotel is city center, right by the tourist activity and only a 15 minute walk to some of the more local areas. Rooms were clean & spacious. Staff was extremely courteous, even calling after our stay to ensure we didn’t leave anything in the room. Only downside is the bar downstairs. They do play music until 2am, which we could hear in our room followed by the staff cleaning up after that. Our room was a few floors directly above the bar, so maybe a different location in the hotel would be better.

11/09/2025: We attended the Tigin both days we were in Galway. The staff were friendly, classic pub vibes, so thought we may as well go back again! Saturday night was super busy with the Soccer and the crowd were good fun. We went back the next day for the womens rugby. Great selection on tap.

20/08/2025: Based, based, based pub. I thought the food and drinks were incredible. I just had to meet and thank the manager personally. The friendly staff who were excellent gladly introduced me. I thanked him and he said wanna hear something funny? He then told me something hilarious. He said caribou closed which is pretty funny. Then he told me they said they were gonna build a hotel here but then they just built a better pub. WOW, dinner and a show!! Beautiful cocktails, lovely staff, city centre location.

14/11/2025: An interesting place that opened unexpectedly. We'd been passing by for four years and didn't even know it existed. A very decent restaurant. Just a few steps away from the most popular streets, and it has a different vibe. More of a pleasant simplicity. I liked it. Between two interesting eco-friendly shops. A very suitable location.

11/11/2025: I wouldn't go back; the food is well below average. We were in Galway at the end of our trip through Ireland, having already tried most of the typical dishes, and this place disappointed us.

14/11/2025: I've had lunch here a few times and the food is consistently very good. Highly recommend the braised beef on the lunch menu.

26/10/2025: We didn't have a reservation and it was quite busy. Staff were quick to find us a table and food was Delicious. We go there regularly as a family treat and everyone kids and all love the food.

04/11/2025: We went there a few days back. We had a chicken burger and chicken wrap. It was affordable and filling. However, both of them came with chips and they were not good. They were big chunks and not at all seasoned. We were also confused how the service worked and no one came to us for around 10-15 mins. Then we went up to the counter to place the order. I’d love to come back and see if my current review changes.

09/09/2025: Its such a shame this place is so hidden!! Hopefully we can make it less 'hidden gem' and more 'fan favorite.' I've never had a better cup of coffee in Galway and the deals they have on are insane. If you want the CHEAPEST and BEST cup of coffee you've had, its worth the trip. Not to mention the owner is so incredibly kind and knowledgeable about what hes doing. There's an outdoor seat and and the food was so good for such a cute little sandwich. I genuinely wish them the best success and if anyone in the park hasn't checked them out, they should!

18/08/2025: Anton is a cozy and adorable coffee spot! We ordered one dish, and the staff went the extra mile by thoughtfully dividing it for us before serving. They also helped us when we couldn’t find the parking ticket machine. And the coffee was easily the best I’ve had in months. Highly recommend!

11/10/2025: For some reason, the man working was annoyed that we ordered food (in a restaurant). Very sour. Slammed the card machine down. Weird.

30/10/2025: Great feed and good value for money. Waiter had a pair of trousers on him that was heavily stained, which would make you wonder about the general hygiene of the place!
