17/11/2024: All show with no service! Beautiful bar and restaurant.. but like any business you are nothing without good staff. Customer service is what people remember. Rude staff, being ignored at the bar, left waiting for food over an hour, table not cleared after dinner, incorrect bill.. the list goes on! Food great tho… when you eventually get it. Such a shame🙁

14/11/2024: Gave our order wings to share sicilia pizza burger less the bacon, arrived with the wings to inform us no pizzas been served Tuesday 12th Nov, if we were informed when we were given the menus we could have decided our options, then I order goats cheese salad more like salad leaves salad charging 13.50, burger came with bacon on it, generally very disappointed

18/10/2024: Awesome rock bar, a must visit in Galway! Great staff, friendly and helpful. Great theme within the pub too, pool table and merch available also! We will be back!!!

22/09/2024: Made some really great memories here. It’s my regular pub and a great, safe, inclusive space. As an alternative woman safety is a big concern of mine, and the staff have always gone above and beyond to ensure that the space is all about that. The staff are also always on the ball, ready to make drinks and even remember your favourites. A big shout out to Rohan at the bar who always greets my boyfriend and I when we come in! He also makes amazing cocktails.☺️ They also host so many free events, catering to their local alternative community with such care and love. The summer BBQs were amazing. Thank you Sally’s!🖤 — P.S. according to my boyfriend, who loves a pint of Guinness, this is his favourite in Galway.

22/09/2024: Graehm and Jack were awesome! This is a fantastic local pub. I left my green Carhartt jacket, though. And for some reason, I can't call them. If you all see this review and can contact me, that would be awesome. The gloves in the pockets were a gift from my Great aunt that passed away. Thanks for such a lovely time at your pub!

29/10/2024: Myself and 2 friends came here Friday night for dinner. We had a very quick 10 minute wait for a table and ordered a drink. The restaurant was quite busy but all the staff were so friendly and professional. the food was amazing too, compliments to the chef! Myself and one of the girls for fries and the BBQ boneless chicken. Our other friend got a burger and spice bag fries. everything was delicious and not one of us could actually finish the portion sizes. The cocktails were also very nice. This place is so reasonably priced and just a short walk from the city centre. We will defiantly return and would recommend to anyone. Well done to Harry and all the Team.

10/11/2024: 9.80 Euro for a pistachio croissant and a chocolate croissant is far too expensive considering what you get. The chocolate croissant was more of a bread roll than a croissant with a tiny bit of chocolate. I don't know how the pistachio croissant can be considered that as it had regular whipped cream and jam, with a small amount of pistachios on it, not pistachio cream. Overall, the presentation of the food is lovely, however the taste and quality is very underwhelming.

10/11/2024: It tastes bad. There were only three stores in the city that seemed to open early in the morning, so I walked all the way from the coach station, but it took a while to get the change back, and I was hoping for freshly baked croissants, but they weren't there. There was no price tag on the cinnamon roll, but I ordered it and it was the worst tasting thing I've ever eaten. I threw it in the trash before heading back to the bus stop. It was expensive and I wasted my money. It was vulgarly sweet, and the texture was like eating cotton candy, so there was no wheat flavor at all. I should have gone to Lidl.

09/11/2024: Friendly, spacious, welcoming bar. Plus a large screen and hall for sports and film screenings. Stocks the spot whiskeys.

28/10/2024: This pub became our evening go-to during the few days we spent in Galway! Local beers, typical homemade dishes served quickly and with a smile, we loved the Oslo Bar and its staff!

01/10/2024: Lovely wine selection and pairs with the food very well. Food portions a little small for what you are getting (quite small compared to other Galway Wine Bars). Overall a great experience but just that little bit of differential between the food price and quantities - quality was superb though.

22/10/2024: No idea why this place has 4.5 on Google maps. The desserts are crap. They taste like they came straight from a factory. Grand for a quick snack if you're hungry, but don't waste your time if you want something tasty.

28/10/2024: A top restaurant to go to if you want a quality family meal and lovely service. Prices are reasonable (25/30€ per person). A little star less for the atmosphere just because I would have liked some Irish music in the background, but as a Frenchman I have to complain 😜. TO DO!!!

18/10/2024: I have been to this restaurant many times over the years. The service is very quick. I had the Chicken and Ham roast. It was okay but I didn't think it was worth the cost. I would still come back as the quality is generally good.

29/10/2024: This is definitely a nice hotel. The staffs were friendly and super helpful! The room is nice!

29/10/2024: Poor experience so far , We checked in to the hotel and were expecting a Modern , newly furnished room as advertised by the pictures and were given a mundane , bland room on Arrival. Thankfully when we said this to reception they changed are rooms on the second night to what we booked . Then we were threatened by security to remove us from the hotel for being ‘too loud at 11.30pm at night ‘ without previous warning or anywhere on their website stating a quiet hour , with security commenting on us and our room and being aggressive and rude . Tonight we were in Galway town and wanted to come back to the hotel for a few drinks and rang the hotel in advance to enquire about when the bar closes and we were told 2am but when we arrived back we were told last orders at 12.30 . Overall the customer service was unpleasant.

30/10/2024: We left here after our starters. This was not entirely because the dishes we chose were over-priced and of varying quality. Squid Toast very good, Duck Hearts very bland. It was also not entirely because on arrival, we were seated in an austere holding area for 20 minutes without the offer of any drinks or food - if only this were a restaurant specialising in "small plates" which could be offered up in return for the table not being ready. Nor was it entirely because we were still seeking to slake our thirst after a full 45 minutes in the establishment. It was because of the sheer contempt for our custom shown by the staff. Let me be clear, each of the four people working the floor seemed to be pleasant and friendly young individuals in their own right. They just completely lacked any leadership, and crucially, any understanding of their actual job, namely to provide a good service to customers who were paying a considerable amount to be there, rather than floating around, gurning at each other like 1990s slackers. Worse still, they gave off a sense that we should be grateful to be in their exalted milieu, and that their wellbeing was paramount, not ours. Unforgiveable. Get a decent Restaurant Manager in on a Saturday night and this place could be worthy of 4 stars.

21/10/2024: Fantastic Restaurant! Food was amazing and the selection of wines was just as good, and it's nice to have the choice of some natural and Orange wines by the glass. We will definitely be coming back.

08/11/2024: I've been here a few times for food and it never fails! The staff are friendly and very accommodating! Food was very flavoursome the chicken panko with the mushroom was lovely!!

11/10/2024: The location is great, very close to the coach station The room we got was spacious and comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful.

11/11/2024: Probably the best kebab restaurant in Galway. Very good price, each meat dish is served with a rich salad and naan and sides. The portions are generous. Highly recommend lamb chops. The meat is very well grilled as the crust of the meat is just the right amount of crispiness and the meat is juicy enough. Can we expect more from a meat meal?

25/10/2024: Quite disappointing one of the staff was rude the food is expensive and not worth it

26/10/2024: The atmosphere is nice, the cocktails are great. It's very warm inside but it's good.

01/10/2024: Only been able to try the small sandwich menu during lockdown, but have absolutely loved all the options

15/11/2024: Great food, beer, and whiskey. Loved the live music!
