31/12/2025: Very friendly, warm fire, perfect little bar! Great service.

31/10/2025: We had a great 3 days here in October, hotel is a 15 minute walk from Eyre Square, easy access to other points of Galway. Family rooms were a great size and the breakfast was really good too

30/10/2025: Good hotel, very convenient location for touring around Galway. Lady at breakfast each was fantastic. Good for a short stay.

09/09/2025: Its such a shame this place is so hidden!! Hopefully we can make it less 'hidden gem' and more 'fan favorite.' I've never had a better cup of coffee in Galway and the deals they have on are insane. If you want the CHEAPEST and BEST cup of coffee you've had, its worth the trip. Not to mention the owner is so incredibly kind and knowledgeable about what hes doing. There's an outdoor seat and and the food was so good for such a cute little sandwich. I genuinely wish them the best success and if anyone in the park hasn't checked them out, they should!

29/10/2025: I can’t comment as to the quality of the rooms as we only visited for breakfast. I was quite underwhelmed… premium prices for a very bland food offering. I felt rushed, despite the place being relatively empty perhaps best seen when the waitress ushered to clear our table whilst my wife was still eating. I shall not be coming back. Salthill Cottage is only a short drive away and offers better value, nicer surroundings, better food and nicer staff.

14/11/2025: Update two years on from the below: still absolutely unreal. Nostalgia can sometimes give me high hopes but Antons always delivers. The eggs are as gorgeous as they always have been and its a lovely calm morning full of clear regulars in for the best grub and relaxing start to the day. Recently revisited Antons for the first time since before the pandemic and it was refreshing to experience it only getting better. The best scrambled eggs in Ireland without a doubt, and a lovely space to enjoy them in. Loved for years and the staff are always so welcoming and friendly

17/12/2025: We went, cuz a friend recommended us and was really good. The coffee was delicious, difficult to find a good one (coffee) here in Galway. And the food was delicious and generous quantities!! The stuff was friendly and helpful, the place was really busy at that time… We will come back!! ✨

09/12/2025: We Had lunch here today, ordered Turkey sandwich on rye bread with side of chips, my partner had burger with salad and chips...Turkey was fried , oil clearly visible and meat was chewy and tasteless, my partner's burger was bland, neither justified price charged.The coffees were good but at €4.10.each totally overpriced. Ate here on number of occasions in past, always loved it...today was not a good experience, will not be returning, staff disinterested, no atmosphere whatsover. A pity, as I always loved this spot!

15/01/2026: The beauty of the Oslo Bar is that it also serves as the gateway to Micil's renowned distillery. The guided tour and tasting are definitely worth it, and both the whiskey and the genuine Micil Poitin are incredibly delicious, but also quite special due to their relatively small production run. If you'd like to bring a special gift to a connoisseur, buy a nice bottle of whiskey here, like the "Longwalk" or a bottle of Poitin Heritage. They'll be eternally grateful!

11/11/2025: Great place! Knowledgeable staff helped us decide on the perfect Irish whiskeys and wonderful choice of beers for our last Galway meal. The Irish stew was excellent. Would definitely come back.

06/12/2025: We booked the function room in Kelehans for our work Christmas party. Everyone had a fantastic night. The service was exceptional. Nothing was too much bother. The food was lovely and great value. The function room is a lovely modern space. Would highly recommend this venue for functions. Would definitely book again!

01/12/2025: Last year we ate here at least 6 times. Loved the Korean chicken wings. Today we went and the wi is were a huge disappointment. Completely different and no flavor. What happened??

21/12/2025: We liked the painting on the wall, the steak Panini was 10/10, had it with added parmesan on top. Filling without being heavy or greasy. Their kebabs are great too

17/01/2026: A group of 4-6 Galway residents go out for dinner monthly, trying a different restaurant each month. The food this evening was great. Among the group we had 5 different main dishes and several appetizers--all thoroughly enjoyed including a vegan pizza that was great. I had the PENNE AMATRICIANA--I would have ordered another serving it was so good if I didn't have a reasonable amount of willpower. I gave it a 4 for atmosphere only because it is pretty tight seating arrangements and a bit noisy as a result--but the food way more than offsets that issue. Staff were excellent as well. Highly recommend.
