15/07/2025: Called in for Coffee and a Bar of Chocolate when I stopped in Salthill. Very reasonable priced. The sky was so low and visibility bad for driving just needed some coffee. Didn't know food was available

11/07/2025: I was a bit hesitant to book, I was unsure whether the hotel would be as clean and modern as it seemed on their website. However, I believe their website doesn’t do them justice. The hotel was incredibly modern, clean, and beautiful. We had a great nights sleep. Renovations are currently ongoing so I was woken up a few times in the morning. But I was told ahead of time and not bothered. Absolutely would recommend booking with them, they are only about 10 minutes away from the city center.

18/08/2025: A well designed space, that is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Coastal views, good service and fresh food with a great breakfast range. We used this place daily to both sit in and take out during our four night stay in Salthill.

13/06/2025: Very popular corner café with a touch of class in prominent spot on main Salthill thoroughfare. Lovely coffee with some great dedicated, very chatty staff working there. Quiet too with low level 'good taste' background music. More of a take out style café but still a few seats inside where you can enjoy a very nicely served sit-in coffee and treat. I keep going back!

26/05/2025: Great coffee. Not a lot of seating. Selling curated design goods mostly from other places (ie Kinto mugs, Le Bon Shop). Fantastic pastries too and the baristas are lovely (even with toddlers!)

20/08/2025: As an Italian, I recommend the place, but without having any particular expectations about the food. The bruschetta was very good, but the pizza was nothing special.

19/08/2025: Great pasta at this restaurant. Portions are a bit small for the price, in fact I ordered the carbonara and it was the first time I had leftover sauce but no pasta left at a restaurant. Service was good albeit quite busy so some things took a little longer.

11/07/2025: Paramos aquí para tomar una merienda. La comida estaba realmente buena. Pedimos 2 sándwiches de queso feta, 1 sándwich de pavo y 1 galleta con chispas de chocolate. Todo estuvo genial. El pan de masa madre para los sándwiches estaba delicioso. El feta smash tenía mucho queso y pimiento rojo asado.

07/08/2025: Worst cafe ever. Came with my siblings and my mum and as soon as we entered we were ignored and then a woman was snapping her fingers and pointing at the seat to us from a distance to come sit down as if we were dogs...she didn't greet us or anything and her attitude was not nice. Another family came in and they were greeted straight away and seated... what we experienced was 100% racially motivated. A young girl then came to take our order, she was the only nice worker in that cafe and she was attentive. The Caesar wraps we had were awful and the chicken tasted like it was weeks old.

28/07/2025: One of our favorite, if not THE favorite, pubs in Galway. Taps are plentiful, people are friendly and it has a great vibe.

12/07/2025: The food was delicious! I was worried because mixed reviews but wow the braised beef was amazing. The steak was good, burger great. The fish and chips all delicious! We had a big table and everyone loved their food. The kids had burger, spaghetti and sausage as an option. It was really hot inside that’s the only complaint.

06/07/2025: Review of Kelehan’s Food: 4/5 Service: 1/5 I’m American, and perhaps expectations around service differ depending upon where you’re from, but our experience at Kelehan’s on the evening of 7/6/25 was frustrating, even by the most basic of standards. We had a reservation at 6:00 and arrived at around 5:50 PM and didn’t leave until 7:45 PM. In that time, every, single, other, table, around us, had turned over at least once. Meanwhile, we sat with very little attention and painfully long waits between courses. At one point, our dinner was completely forgotten until I finally flagged someone down to ask about it. We were told that whoever picked up our appetizer did not mark as such in their system, so our dinner was never prepped. The food, once it arrived, was absolutely excellent! My wife had the pan-seared chicken, and I had the roast pork. Both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. On day 12 of our visit, and 5 cities later, this was quite possibly the best meal that we’d had. However, that didn’t make up for how we were treated. Before leaving, I spoke with the manager, Daren. I told him honestly: the food had been amazing, but the service was s#*!. Apparently my word of the word s#*! multiple times to describe the service we experienced struck a nerve. I apologized, but explained that I was attempting to convey my sincere sentiments. Instead of taking that feedback seriously, apologizing, or trying to make things right, he brushed it off and offered a few excuses. There was no real apology, no real ownership, and certainly no effort to make it right. Sadly, the apple crumble we ordered for dessert, which was also SIGNIFICANTLY delayed and is what ultimately prompted me to speak with him, was the one true low point from the kitchen, dry, mealy, bland, and extremely disappointing. We each had one bite and left the rest. No discount. No courtesy. No reason to come back. Great food deserves great service. Here, you only get half the experience.
