22/01/2026: Favorite spot in Galway when we’re in town

01/01/2026: Went here for new years, had a great time upstairs waiting for the countdown, there was board games available etc, staff were lovely and friendly, however upon the countdown we went downstairs to the bar, a DJ was present, and obviously too busy and the whole pub missed the entire countdown, leaving myself and everyone very disappointed, what kinda people don’t countdown the new year?!

02/12/2025: This bakery is absolutely fantastic! They have amazing pastries, a really cozy atmosphere, and super friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit!

09/01/2026: Outdated and overpriced. This hotel is not worth ‘4 stars’. In my opinion, they have some neck to charge customers their prices. The signal is nearly non-existent on the first floor. I wasn’t acknowledged by staff at the table during breakfast - you have to ask them to bring you toast, heat up croissants/scones etc and order coffee separately as it’s not accessible at the buffet, plus there’s a price menu to pay for coffee even though I already paid for breakfast included in my room rate. I could go on and on, like the steam room wasn’t working and the button to release bubbles into the jacuzzi wasn’t functioning properly. The food was bland and lifeless. The only benefits were the gym as the equipment was a decent standard and free on-site parking. Do yourself a favour and save your money for another hotel.

22/02/2026: Myself my wife, my brother inlaw and his partner decided to go for a meal in Galway city centre. We went Venice a lovely warm and welcoming restaurant in the heart of Galway city. Upon arrival we were met at the door by a lovely well mannered girl who took our reservstion and led us to our table. The resstaurant itself is small but very comfortable and a great atmosphere. After taking our order our drinks arrived at our table in a timely manner, shortly afterwards our starters which were amazingly tasty which set the tone. Shortly after our starters were cleared from the table our main course arrived I myself had the Calzone which I found to be cooked to perfection the tastes and the flavours and texture was spot on, and portiion size generous. Once we had finished our main course we decided to order from the dessert menu which had a great selection of tasty treats. Dessert was absolutely delicous. When the bill arrived we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced the food was, so we decided to leave a 20% tip for the staff who went above and beyond to make our evening a pleasant one. I would highly recommend if you visit Galway City a visit to the restaurant is a must.

03/01/2026: Highly recommended. As for a 3 star hotel - everything is great. The location is ideal. Bars, cafes, shops - a few minutes away.

30/12/2025: Worst place, worst atmosphere in Ireland 🫠 Cold, dusty and dirty, empty sadness. Also restroom is only for staffs, not for customers…

12/12/2025: Been going here for years for the chilli chips and can easily say it’s Michelin star worthy. However, I recently saw the business up for sale and noticed there are new staff. We recently got the chilli chips twice and it just wasn’t the same. I was so sad because it was such a good thing for so long. The mince wasn’t the same flavour and it tasted like it needed cooking for longer. I really hope they can achieve it the same way as it was as it truly was something spectacular!!!

07/03/2026: Classico is not what I expected. It’s not Classico at all. It’s like a sit in takeaway with little to no service and the food is mid. I did not enjoy this experience as I thought I was in for a right feast

17/02/2026: Excellent restaurant. Huge menu, something for everyone. Service was very good. I had the spaghetti al amatriciana and it was fantastic. I’m not an expert in Italian cuisine, but seems very authentic. It’s a good sign when they’re speaking Italian in the kitchen.
