02/12/2025: This bakery is absolutely fantastic! They have amazing pastries, a really cozy atmosphere, and super friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit!

28/11/2025: One of most full and delicious cinnamon rolls, wow. Vanilla cottage cheese pastry was also very good.

11/06/2026: Rooms are average, breakfast is okay but dinner and service is super!

08/06/2026: While it's not walking distance from anything special, it's a very nice hotel with friendly staff. I had no trouble finding a parking place. We had to leave for the airport in Dublin before the breakfast service opened.

25/05/2026: This restaurant is like most other restaurants in Ireland. Its menu is misleading , it specifically says hand cut chips, which could not be further from the truth. The chips are bought in and cooked from frozen 🥶 🤢🤢🤢. Enough said 🤢🤢🤢🤢

09/05/2026: Had the vegan bolognese and vegan pistachio pesto, both were fantastic, pesto was the standout. Vegan garlic bread also delicious. Nice cosy vibe and quick service. Highly recommend!!

20/11/2025: I ordered the smoked salmon sandwich for €9, and what arrived was an existential culinary challenge. This wasn't a sandwich; it was a treasure hunt. I spent the first five minutes gently moving the beautiful, vibrant red onion slices aside, whispering, "Where are you, my pink prince?" I finally located the salmon: three slivers, shivering nervously, doing their best to hide beneath the cheese. I think the kitchen staff used an electron microscope to measure the portion. I'm giving it two stars because the bread was cut into two very generous slices, and the red onions were truly exceptional. If you're looking for a delightful onion sandwich with a whisper of fish, this is your spot. If you want salmon, bring your own fishing gear.

28/12/2025: Welcoming atmosphere, highly qualified staff, very little waiting time. The pancakes are excellent, the hot chocolate is outstanding and comes with a super cute personalized design. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, but the Italian guy, Enrico, is truly exceptionally kind and courteous

18/12/2025: Top notch brunch and breakfast as well as coffee! Hands down best French toast experience I’ve had during my trip to Galway and probably ever! Flat white is on point and the value is great for portions. The smoothies are also excellent. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

15/05/2026: We had booked a 13 hour bus trip from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher but got off in Galway and had booked a night at the Skeffington Arms Hotel. It's perfectly located for Shop Street, the main street in Galway, but also convenient distance to the walking paths along the River Corrib that divides the city on the way to Galway Cathedral. The staff were as everywhere in Galway and Dublin nice and helpful. Good rooms although the view of a tiny cavity at the back of the hotel was not great, but just a one night stay. We heard the music from the bar when we arrived at the hotel at midnight, but our room was far enough away from it that we were not disturbed. Breakfast includes hot options that the waiter takes your order for when you're seated. There should be information about that because we and many others we saw were very disappointed with the other breakfast options that was laid out, deducting a star. Maybe just a temporary problem as it was apparently a temporary room for breakfast when we were there in May 2026?

07/03/2026: Classico is not what I expected. It’s not Classico at all. It’s like a sit in takeaway with little to no service and the food is mid. I did not enjoy this experience as I thought I was in for a right feast

17/02/2026: Excellent restaurant. Huge menu, something for everyone. Service was very good. I had the spaghetti al amatriciana and it was fantastic. I’m not an expert in Italian cuisine, but seems very authentic. It’s a good sign when they’re speaking Italian in the kitchen.

01/06/2026: The hotel in a hole never mind the rooms are far to warm. You air con does not work ( i had the same issue with the clayton airport hotel. my husband ended up sleeping on the floor near the window.) That needs to be fixed. Its very uncomfortable. We stayed in room 152. There was nothing in the room. Usually you would see a folder with information in it, nothing! There was no robes. It just seemed like there was no care for the people staying in the hotel.

01/06/2026: It is a bit far from Galway. You can get the 401&409 there. It has a great swimming pool and a gym. The breakfast was immaculate.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious — the omelette was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, with generous filling and great texture. The chips were golden, crisp, and paired beautifully with the meal 🍟👌 The breakfast beans were also a standout — warm, rich, and full of comforting flavor, adding another delicious layer to the overall breakfast plate and rounding out the meal perfectly 🫘✨ The fresh toast served with rich Irish butter was simple but incredibly satisfying — warm, hearty, and exactly the kind of comforting touch that makes breakfast feel special 🍞🧈 The locally roasted coffee was excellent as well — smooth, fresh, and the perfect way to start the morning ☕🇮🇪 The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it a lovely place to sit and enjoy breakfast. While service could have been a little more attentive with check-ins, the restaurant was clearly very busy — which speaks to how popular it is — and the staff were still friendly and doing their best throughout. Overall, the food quality was excellent, the experience was enjoyable, and it became one of the memorable breakfast stops from our time in Galway. A wonderful place for a hearty breakfast, and one we would happily return to on our next visit. Highly recommend.

28/04/2026: 1st time to try The Galway Plate and I was just so so impressed. It was absolutely amazing, I had the carbonara and my MIL had the lasagne and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were just so friendly and service was very efficient. Will definitely be back again!!
