30/10/2025: Great feed and good value for money. Waiter had a pair of trousers on him that was heavily stained, which would make you wonder about the general hygiene of the place!

10/11/2025: The food at Caprice was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. We were a group of three, but unfortunately, one dish was forgotten, so one of us had to wait while the rest were served. Mistakes happen, but it did take a bit away from the experience. Overall though, the food was excellent, and I’d be happy to visit again.

23/10/2025: Frozen tasteless frozen fish for Euro 22 sold as fresh. Batter was oily and didn’t add anything. Waiter was dismissive and not interested in hearing my opinion, I then waited for the bill despite it being quiet. Avoid!

23/06/2025: In my opinion this is the best place to get a cappuccino in town. It is affordable, drinks are good and it has a nice patio by the river. We visited Sult almost daily while staying at the university residence.

31/10/2025: Called in here for lunch during the week, was seated and had my order in front of me within 10/15 minutes. Their toasted sandwich, chicken pesto sandwich and chips were all super delicious and extremely well priced. Highly recommend stopping in here if you're in Athlone and looking for a tasty and affordable meal.

17/11/2025: I moved away from Galway to the states in 2018 - before then, I frequented Eastern Tandoori a couple times, and ordered it for a takeaway fairly often. I haven’t had their food in 7 years but I still think about it. To this day, it is the BEST lamb korma I’ve ever had and I compare every Indian restaurant I go to (even if a new place is amazing in its own way, it’s simply not as good). Just wanted to say that your food lives fondly in your customers’ memories even years later. **I’m dead sober btw, just really love Indian food.

09/11/2025: We ordered the chicken jalfrezi, beef madras, onion bhaji's, onion naan and prawn puri. We ate every last bite! The food was so tasty and piping hot plus we got a poppadom with dips free. Will most definitely be back here 🤩 (takeaway collection)

31/10/2025: We had a great 3 days here in October, hotel is a 15 minute walk from Eyre Square, easy access to other points of Galway. Family rooms were a great size and the breakfast was really good too

15/10/2025: *Updated review- In the past few months we've noticed the pizza is different. The crust, possibly the sauce. The pizza at Bethlehem used to be my go to in Galway, but not anymore. I'm not sure it the ingredients changed,or the chef. We only have done takeaway from this restaurant,many times. It's absolutely fabulous. Huge menu! Large portions. Friendly crowd. The best pizza that I've had in Galway.

25/09/2025: This was BY FAR the best place I stayed on my two weeks vacation in Ireland. Only a few minutes walk from the center, it is right next to the river and it’s just magical. I had the Riverside Suite which is split in two levels. You enter the room from the main floor. There you access to a private vintage looking living room with a tv, cute looking chimney and sofas. Then on the first floor you have a cute bedroom and a beautiful bathroom. The suite is just perfect and makes you feel like your in a little appartment. I only had two nights there and I regretted not taking even more. The staff is so kind and makes sure you’re well taking care of and the breakfast are to die for. As a solo traveler I felt really safe there and I will be returning there in the same room. It was just perfect perfect perfect.

17/11/2025: Great experience in Buddha Bar Saturday 15th! Didn’t book a table but the staff were quick to get us a spot. The waitress serving us was lovely and a special shout out to Ben at the bar who really went above and beyond! The food & drinks were lovely and please pass on our thanks & compliments to Ben who also gave us some great recommendations for Galway! - Bill’s pals from Dublin

16/11/2025: As a local I've eaten at Buddha Bar several times over the years, but I think the meal this evening was the best yet! 2 pages of starters--huge selection of cocktails--mojito was GREAT! Order a starter of Chicken Satay Skewers, and main of Cantonese Orange Chicken-the orange sauce was perfect for the chicken, and the pineapple on top put it over the top! Presentation was great, and the food was excellent! The servers were friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was literally as full as it could possibly get. The time between the starters and mains was timed just right as well! Prices are excellent for Galway, and one couldn't ask for anything more! This may have to become the favorite restaurant!
