20/07/2026: The wine was at room temperature, which I think is reasonable for €28 per 0.5 liters. The pizza was certainly made with zero fresh ingredients and was served in 5 minutes. And it got cold just as quickly. Don't be fooled by the inviting atmosphere. The food and service are a far cry from the Italian cuisine we all love.

26/10/2025: Great pub with all the essentials: TVs playing footie, a good variety of beers on tap (Guinness 0.0), pub grub that isn’t fancy, lots and lots of places to sit down or drink standing up.

27/03/2026: Ordered on deliveroo about 2 hours before closing, food arrived about 20-30 minutes after they closed and an item (€9 burger) was completely forgotten, when calling the delivery driver, we were told we didnt order the burger despite it being on our receipt and having paid for it. We were then told to call the restaurant, which was closed! Unfortunate and frustrating that we didnt recieve an item that we paid for, the food we did recieve was still hot and fresh however and i have nothing bad to say about it :) Just very irritating and confusing that we did not recieve something we paid for :(

04/03/2026: Ordered over the weekend. From the time I ordered it only took 22minutes for it to arrive at my house. The food was fresh and hot when it got here. Pizza itself had a perfect ratio of ingredients. Definitely a fav spot to get pizza. Highly recommend!

30/06/2026: After 3 days and stopping at numerous cafes in Galway this is the one I return to for the best Flatwhite and snacks. Worth a visit.

27/06/2026: I sat down at this café and ordered a smoothie. At first, the service was friendly… until I discovered there were two frozen balls of spinach still sitting in the drink. Thinking it was a mistake, I asked for an explanation. The staff member’s response? “Eat it like that.” I have to admit, I wasn’t familiar with this innovative way of enjoying a smoothie chewing on frozen spinach balls. If that’s how it’s supposed to be served, I’d genuinely love to know. The smoothie was disappointing, but the rude attitude made the experience even worse. Definitely not a place I’ll be coming back to.

01/06/2026: Well, we had a bad experience there due to poor service. While we were enjoying our beers we discovered that the couch we were sitting on was completely wet, we didn't know what it was, I don't want to think about it... and one of us needed to go away to change their trousers as they were completely soaked. We asked for at least one free pint due to the damage of clothes as a refund for the inconvenience, and it was refused. We were only brought a roll of blue paper that was just left on the table, not sure what the purpose of that was. That's not a great way to treat regular customers who bought food and drinks there many times in the past years. I do not suggest this place anymore.

17/07/2026: I want something sweet for dinner and this place didn't disappoint, the banana crepe was great.

12/04/2026: handy spot This is a handy spot 20 minutes drive from Galway center. It is easy to get a bus or taxi to eyre square. Breakfast and rooms were good. I liked the canopied outdoor seating area. #ramblingstampcollectors

10/04/2026: Had a really nice stay at The Flannery's. We were able to check in about 3 hours early with no issues, which was a great start. The hotel was wheelchair friendly, the room was cozy and warm, and everything was kept clean throughout our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and having Netflix on the TV was a lovely bonus for those rainy days when the missus and I just wanted to stay in bed and have a movie day. The location was very handy too. The bus stop was only a 2 to 3 minute walk away, and buses ran every 10 to 15 minutes, even late at night, so getting around was easy. Breakfast being included was a big plus, and the food was tasty with both hot and cold options. Only complaint is the missus couldn’t find a croissant on the last day, which she may never fully recover from. Overall, very good value for money and a comfortable place to stay. We’d happily stay again.

07/03/2026: We've had 5 days staying in Salthill and this pub is very close to our digs. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and customers who are all up for a chat, brilliant Guinness. If only this place was closer!!

13/04/2026: I visited Grind today for the first time. Excellent young man greeted and seated me immediately. My sourdough sandwich was delicious and a fine big pot of tea. Very impressed with the food and service. Can't wait for a return visit. Really impressed by staff . Keep it up.

06/07/2026: What a place!! Great for gigs. Staff is always so sound. Go here every Sunday from 11pm-2am and go watch John Conneely and the band. It's such an unforgettable experience. Unreal.
