11/07/2025: I come here since 7 years. First time for my partner who come straight from work. Waring a traksuit, so no entrance for him. For what. The bouncer left other 4 guys in, wearing tracksuit. I worked for roisin never like this happen. And in ever place in galway they let us in. Thanks roisin to let me skip my friend wedding for a traksuit. My boyfriend one wasn't good enough but our friends one yes. Thans

16/07/2025: Enjoyed a fantastic striploin steak and plant-based mezze platter. Paired it with a Smithwick’s ale, plus a Connemara single malt in celebration of visiting that region. Our waitress Colette was lovely. Nice atmosphere.

11/07/2025: I indicated it was our 30th anniversary trip on the reservation. We were pleasantly surprised to see a "Congratulations" plate in our room at check in. It was a welcome surprise! Thank you for making our stay in Galway so memorable! The hotel is centrally located at the heart of the Latin Quarter. Walking distance to many great shops, restaurants and bars. Totally recommend!

21/06/2025: We tried to eat here because the food really seems amazing but the lady behind the counter didn’t make any effort to assist us. The place was full and we asked if we could order for take away, or book for the following day and she clearly had no interest in helping us. In the end, it seemed like we were begging to eat there so we gave up and went to the Buddha Bar next door, where the staffs were the best!

21/06/2025: I can’t say enough good things about The Pasta Factory in Galway. The pasta here is absolutely incredible — hands down the best homemade pasta I’ve ever had. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love and care. The environment is warm, inviting, and full of character, making it a perfect spot whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or enjoying a leisurely dinner. It’s not just a meal — it’s an experience. For the quality of food and the amazing atmosphere, the value is outstanding. If you're in Galway, this is a must-eat place. I highly recommend it to everyone — locals and travelers alike. You won’t regret it!

23/06/2025: Staying here with my father for a tourism conference and am severely disappointed. The hotels design makes no sense and is terribly laid out. To get to rooms 1300 you have to go to level one then walk all the way around the hotel to get to another elevator where you have to take that one up to level 3. Then for my father he was told that he would have to do the same to get to his room in level 5 however once we got to the elevator there was no button for level 5. So we then had to go all the way back around to the front elevators to find that we where supposed to have taken this the entire time and what we where told by the women at the front desk was wrong. Also the hallway walking to the elevator to get to rooms 1300 has a smell of mildew and Chlorine. The elevator was beat up and also smelled of mildew. The carpets are all disgusting they need to be either deep cleaned or just ripped up entirely. The fire door needed to get to the room on level 5 is almost impassable to open as the carpet is too high causing the door to drag across it only after putting full force into opening it does it budge. Another massive issue is the seating and furniture is not taken care of well and shows it’s age and wear with stains and damage. The desk in one of the rooms even has burn looking stains on it. The handle to the porch in the room is broken barely holding on. Once you get to the porch it is seemingly falling apart. The boards bend under the weight of your step with some of them being pulled up so you could trip if not careful. The boards being plastic without any anti slip grip on them also makes them extremely dangerous when wet. As for the location it is not central to anything really. It’s about a 20 min walk to the city center and is located in the water but the waters view is not to the open ocean but instead to oil tanks and industrial area. Room service was underwhelming as the chicken curry was cold when it made it to the room. The chicken was hard and dry tasting old, the rice was grainy and rated rewarded, overall flavor was not good and if given another option would have never ordered it. The toilet flush button is also loose and does not work properly continually flushing if you don’t giggle it around until it stops. Overall the cost of the stay is not worth it whatsoever in my opinion.

22/06/2025: Clean room and facilities. Close to town and shops/bars. Breakfast was class. Annoying they charge for parking above the room rate, least it was discounted.

18/07/2025: Food is very tasty here,the restaurant is very nice decorated and the service was pretty quick.no need of reservation and is walking distance from the eyre square. Also the portion was big and piping hot . I will be back for sure

19/07/2025: Ate here three years ago and was impressed. Not so this time. Prices hiked, and food below par. I’ve eaten Indian food all over Scotland, England, Ireland and India itself. This was the first experience where there were no complimentary poppadoms. Seriously? I had chicken sag, the meat was dried up and tough. Also a first. The naan was flat and not stuffed as promised. More like a large chapati. Two mains and one beer cost the guts of €60. For the same price next door they were offering two starters, two mains, and four beers. This Indian is overpriced and not authentic. They really need to look at their standard of food and pricing. Don’t believe I’ll give it a third visit.

08/06/2025: I came off the train needing to kill a few hours and asked a few locals where to go, they pointed me in the direction of Craft Bistro. Sean served me and was absolutely lovely. Aaron the chef sorted me well out and the food was delicious, even down to the Potato Farls on the fry. Who'd have thought random late breakfast in Athlone you'd be trying new things but here we are. Lovely spot, lovely town.
