15/10/2025: these pastries are boof! they look beautiful but none of the pastries i had were good at all. went with some friends and we all threw out half our pastries because they were bad.

14/10/2025: The donuts were really good, but I think you can skip the filling, wasn't a fan of the toffee or custard. Savory pastries were good. Tons of selection.

27/08/2025: A great breakfast! I had the Big Breakfast, all wrapped up in a crepe, really filling and delicious! We went back twice! A real treat!

23/06/2025: In my opinion this is the best place to get a cappuccino in town. It is affordable, drinks are good and it has a nice patio by the river. We visited Sult almost daily while staying at the university residence.

22/07/2025: Possibly, if not, the Best bakery & coffee shop in Co.Galway. Owner-run and a great team of staff. Best pastries, rolls & sandwiches. Weather you're popping in for a coffee on the go or having tea with a dear friend, always worth a visit.

11/07/2025: I used to attend the old films in this establishment on a weekday morning with my husband. A personal favourite of mine is Gone with the Wind. A very beautiful film. However, after an evening screening of a classic film I needed to use the lady's room. As I headed toward the unisex bathroom a man dressed in glitter and spandex rushed in front of me. He stated, "Ladies first". He then proceeded to skip me and head to the bathroom to relieve himself standing up like a lady. Horrified, I asked staff upon leaving about their security issue and they stated "Gowoke go broke, we went downhill when we hired our first pink haired waitress". Well I suppose they did. But this would be a great IPAS center.

29/09/2025: Amazing toastie got the Philly beef one was very nice but of a wait for it to come and the seating outside isn't the best but the food itself was delicious would recommend if you want something a bit naughty

19/09/2025: Went here when this place first opened and as a local I will never go again. Think I paid something like 12 euro for a toasted sandwich in a fancy box which is ridiculous. Wards in Westside was amazing and the sandwiches were actually decently sized. This place was an influencer hype and over priced and over hyped. You can get the same sandwich in your petrol station garage just bring the fancy box with ya. Actually ridiculous when this place is exactly what Galway needs a nice sandwich bar!! If you're going to charge so much for a sandwich at least fill the sandwich. I'm absolutely fuming because I want to love a place like this but for what I got I'd go to dunnes instead to get an actual sandwich

20/08/2025: A great place for a vegan gourmet break. Very warm welcome. The coffee is very good. And the pastries are excellent. I recommend it!!!

14/10/2025: Ordered a cake for my nieces birthday and it was absolutely perfect! All of the ingredients were super fresh and it was a real crowd pleaser..highly recommend Gourmet Tart!

09/10/2025: One of the best hotel stays iv had in a long long time. Spacious room, gorgeous modern bathroom, firm mattress (slept so good). The club sandwich we had a lunch was delicious but the Duck with the plum and ginger sauce at dinner was spectacular. So delicious. Great breakfast options too. What made the stay so enjoyable had to be the staff. A lovely young man named Kevin tended to us with brilliant customer service as well as patiently training in new staff and helping other members of staff- he earns his money! He had such a great attitude and was always looking to see if customers needed assistance. There was another lovely gentleman called Dez who I ordered drinks from and was also very welcoming and mannerly. The staff in the night for dinner service were great but esp the young bar man Liam who was quick and efficient at his work but also great customer service , assisted bringing drinks down to table and got a lot of laughs from me and my Mum. The night porter Jerry was equally as lovely and charming as the other staff I had dealt with and was kind enough to lend a lighter when I inquired . Even the morning breakfast staff all seemed to be happy in their work place, management chatting casually to other staff members and no suggestion of an us vs them attitude. All the staff were so friendly and looked so happy; from the receptionist upon arrival to the night porter and the end of our night. If Kevin is up for training more staff I’ll be sure to apply, it looks like a fantastic place to work 😉🤣 thank you all for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back !

14/08/2025: We waited in line for 40 minutes just for one coffee. The waitress showed no intention of hurrying to make it. Furthermore, she seemed to expect people to leave the line so she would have less work. Terrible experience — I honestly wonder why I even came here. I do not recommend this place. I am very disappointed 😞☹️

09/07/2025: Great wine, great cocktails, great service. We didnt eat hut food looked good too. Cosy spot upstairs and were able to get a table as a walk in.

28/06/2025: We stopped here for a glass of wine and a cocktail. The grapefruit cocktail was very nice, and my husband enjoyed his wine. He said the oysters were good, but he wasn't too sure about the sage and buttermilk for the oysters. Fabulous art adorns the walls!
