The best restaurants in Galway

26/08/2026: Just delightful. Had the best salmon dinner ive had in a long time. Great sized portion. Lovely staff very friendly and the views from the outside area are divine.

26/08/2026: Wonderful experience. Got the steak and it was the best I've had in a long time. Staff were lovely. I will definitely be back.

29/06/2026: The original Jemi Lighthouse is closed. The new place is called The Lighthouse and has no vegan food right now.

01/04/2026: Delicious vegetarian dishes, a spectacular flat white, friendly people, and it would have been worth stopping here just for the excellent flapjack. Lovely, highly recommended, and a bit off the beaten track from Galway's tourist hotspots in the Latin Quarter!

30/06/2026: After 3 days and stopping at numerous cafes in Galway this is the one I return to for the best Flatwhite and snacks. Worth a visit.

27/06/2026: I sat down at this café and ordered a smoothie. At first, the service was friendly… until I discovered there were two frozen balls of spinach still sitting in the drink. Thinking it was a mistake, I asked for an explanation. The staff member’s response? “Eat it like that.” I have to admit, I wasn’t familiar with this innovative way of enjoying a smoothie chewing on frozen spinach balls. If that’s how it’s supposed to be served, I’d genuinely love to know. The smoothie was disappointing, but the rude attitude made the experience even worse. Definitely not a place I’ll be coming back to.

20/09/2026: Breakfast is always top class, but please invest in Spotify premium. There's only so many times someone can listen to ads to upgrade Spotify.

16/09/2026: Awesome coffee and food and best feature - one of the earliest open cafes in Galway which is almost a requirement for Aussies and our early out and about start to the day ‼️🤣🤣

27/07/2026: Wonderful little cafe! I can highly recommend stopping by here for a coffee and some food. I would recommend the veggie bites

30/08/2026: We hadnt booked for Saturday evening but were lucky enough to get a table!. We had an amazing meal!! Our weekend break to Galway was special thanks to this restaurant..amazing service and great food!!

09/09/2026: The service was disgraceful I ordered a Americano with oatmilk and a carrot cake slice I paid for it and told to take a seat 20 minutes later no sign of my coffee r cake there was 2 girls behind the counter chatting they were not busy I asked wher was my order and was told they forgot about it omg 😰they had the cheek to have a tip jar on the counter top i should have asked for my money back I definitely wil not be going there again don deacy

07/03/2026: We've had 5 days staying in Salthill and this pub is very close to our digs. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and customers who are all up for a chat, brilliant Guinness. If only this place was closer!!

26/10/2025: Great pub with all the essentials: TVs playing footie, a good variety of beers on tap (Guinness 0.0), pub grub that isn’t fancy, lots and lots of places to sit down or drink standing up.

31/07/2026: Great spot, went here for some coffee and it was really good. Measures up to some Italian espressos I've had. The sweets also taste great! Great staff and great interior. Thanks you to the employees for helping when a can opened in my backpack and flooded all my belongings! Would recommend everything about this place!

17/09/2026: I had a very disappointing experience. The Dal Makhani was extremely spicy and, unfortunately, I experienced stomach discomfort afterwards. It was full of red mirchi. When my mouth was burning from the chillies, I felt that the owner did not do much to address the situation. The service was also disappointing. At one point, the owner appeared more focused on chatting with a delivery person than attending to the guests. What I found particularly uncomfortable was that my plate was picked up while I was still eating. Overall, the food and service did not meet my expectations, and I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and pays more attention to both food quality and guest service.

22/08/2026: Always a great experience both when eating in and ordering. I must say, the last time I was there, me and my partner were served by a tall gentleman with ginger hair and I have never had service like it! Top class, 20 out 10. I have and still do work in a customer facing role and this particular team member (as well as your other colleagues) make Capones special. We were made to feel so welcome, had great jokes with the server and nothing was too much for you guys. I can only praise you as I cannot think of a single fault. PS. Some of the best tenders and best garlic dip going!! Not to mention the cocktails which are TO DIE FOR!!
