15/03/2026: A hidden gem in the centre of Galway. These are Pepperoni pizza and Pizza Italia with Parma ham, the best pizza I've ever tried in Galway and even the most Neapolitan 😂 This place is in the centre near Eyre Square, inside there's Italian music and Italian style that makes you feel immediately near the Colosseo. Prices are not more expensive than others pizzerias. 10/10

07/03/2026: Avoid this restaurant portions are awful and food tastes store bought. We got bruschetta and it was 6 cherry tomatoes cut up with some dried herbs on a small baguette slice. The gnocchi is store bought and tasted like slime. My lasagna was chunky and covered in cheese so it was greasy. We have been here multiple times before but it’s gotten worse and worse with each visit. There is no passion, care or love put into the food. When we said to the waitress about the food quality she didn’t seem to care or want to do anything to help. We paid over €70 for an awful dinner that I could have made 10 times better at home.

10/03/2026: Food was fine, portions very small and expensive. Our waitress was friendly but service was insanely slow. Only saw 3 other customers but it took nearly an hour to get 3 appetizers and 1 entree. Waitress did not refill our water or check on us routinely, it took a long time just to order food. Food was very good when it arrived, but it just took so long that I would not return.

28/02/2026: WOW, I’ve been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is absolutely phenomenal, the staff are incredibly welcoming, and it is a beautiful restaurant. If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out! Also, hands down the BEST bubble tea I’ve ever had

20/09/2025: There's a fish store nearby that also makes seafood sushi. The store has a great selection and reasonable prices. I'm not sure about the Ukrainian sushi restaurant, but it's highly likely they'll be fully booked. It's a popular place. The sushi is inexpensive, but generously sized and very tasty.

08/03/2026: It's probably one of the best Supermacs in County Galway. The food is literally cooked fresh once you order in store. Online collection orders are usually just being packed at the specified time. ALL the staff in Athenry are so friendly, so helpful,so observant, so efficient and genuinely just nice people.. It's hard to get that kind of service anywhere, anymore.. Most importantly, the Supermacs team in Athenry are consistent in all aspects of their service !! So many other branches could learn a lot from this team 👏🏻100%

03/03/2026: I’ve been a regular here for years, but the quality has plummeted. The hygiene standards are now genuinely concerning; I witnessed staff coughing, sneezing, and touching their faces/noses immediately before handling food without washing their hands. ​Communication has also become a major hurdle, requiring a translator just to place a basic order at the till. I ordered the 5 oz burger meal, and it was a total letdown. The bun was bone-dry and "petrified," the meat itself was barely lukewarm, and the presentation was a mess—it looked more like a dropped kebab than a burger. After years of coming here, this experience was the final straw.

10/01/2026: Service is become poor in the last few months,waiting staff do not look interested in serving tables,I had to ask for tap water 4 times today...same situation the time before plus undercooked pancakes...the falafel is not nice anymore, they bring a mix of colored peppers with few rocket leaves and the falafel balls,dry,taste less..not coming back there for food again.

17/12/2025: Grind (Briarhill) is a real Find, a cafe really worth seeking out & aiming for, regardless of what else brings you to Galway, in fact Grind deserves to be the reason itself for travelling to Galway. Overall, great ambience, layout, buzz, comfort, menu.. Great food, great coffee. But most of all really attentive fantastic service by the multitude of servers. We were late converts to Grind, only discovering its' sister Dock Street branch a week before it closed 🙁 - but Grind Briarhill is even better🙂🙂 Thanks!

02/03/2026: I recently enquired about booking tee times at Galway Golf Club and was very disappointed with the experience. My interaction with the General Manager, Peter Moran, was extremely unhelpful. Responses were limited to brief two-word replies like “unfortunately no,” with no effort made to suggest alternative tee times or offer any solutions. When I followed up to ask if there was any weekday tee time availability at all, I received no reply. As someone genuinely looking to book and pay for tee times, I found the lack of engagement and basic customer service surprising. A little effort to assist or even point me toward alternative options would have gone a long way. Very disappointing experience overall.
