05/04/2025: Food was average but service was the worst I have seen yet in a Galway restaurant. Waitress was trying to push us to a small table for 4 when our booking was for 5. Took 40 minutes for drinks to come out. We were there for a birthday and they forgot about the cake which I left in to them prior to the reservation. Won’t be going back. Terrible.

04/04/2025: The waiter got my order completely wrong, I'd asked for a Spicy Crispy Shimeji Mushroom and was served with chicken. When asked the guy who served me? It was the worst way he could have handled it.

09/03/2025: Absolutely amazing. We stopped in here after a long day and the service was great and fast. All the men working there were very welcoming and accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing. I’m from america and the way you make your american style food puts our food to shame. One of the best places i’ve ever eaten. You guys pat yourself on the back.

19/12/2024: My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for dinner last night, and unfortunately, it ended in food poisoning. We had read a review posted just a week prior from another customer who had the same experience, but decided to give it a try since there were many positive reviews as well. To start, the service was incredibly disappointing. We waited 25 minutes before anyone even came to take our order, and then another 40-50 minutes to receive our food. The restaurant wasn’t busy—there were only about four tables occupied—yet the staff seemed disorganized and indifferent. While the food itself tasted good, I ended up with food poisoning, including a high fever and vomiting, which completely ruined the experience. Given the poor service and the health issues, I can’t recommend this place.

01/09/2024: 2 adults and 2 kids, nice food fast service. Had fish and chips oysters and 2 kids meals. Amazing oysters and cocktails, we will be back.

28/03/2025: Meltd on middle street is lovely, best sandwiches in Galway coupled with wonderful staff, I was served by a wonderful server named Rylan who was so polite and friendly, would absolutely recommend the place.

02/02/2025: The place is a very nice and cozy café hidden in one of Galway’s streets. The dark hot chocolate though, didn’t meet our expectations. The description on the menu was far from reality. It would be better to be informed beforehand, while ordering, that the drink would be missing the toppings that are listed in the menu. Also the chocolate itself tasted like cheap chocolate milk. It was not worth the money, even though the server gave us a little discount because they were out of marshmallows, which we did not now until we got the drinks. Also toilets did not work and people who came later got coffee sooner than us.

23/03/2025: I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit to your establishment as a Deliveroo rider. On two separate occasions, I encountered unprofessional behavior from the staff, particularly the cashier, which has compelled me to share my experience. Incident Details: During my latest visit, I was dressed in casual attire rather than my Deliveroo uniform. Upon entering, the cashier greeted me warmly, assuming I was a regular customer. However, once I identified myself as a Deliveroo rider there to collect an order, her demeanor shifted noticeably to one of rudeness and impatience. She informed me that the order would be ready in 3-4 minutes; however, I ended up waiting for 40 minutes. I understand that restaurants can be busy, but providing inaccurate wait times and displaying discourteous behavior towards delivery personnel is unacceptable.​ Concerns: Respect and Professionalism: Every individual, regardless of their role, deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy. The abrupt change in the cashier's attitude upon learning of my purpose was both disheartening and unprofessional.​ Accurate Communication: Providing realistic wait times is crucial, especially for delivery riders who are on tight schedules. Miscommunication leads to inefficiencies and affects our ability to serve customers promptly.​ A Call for Empathy: Delivery riders work diligently to ensure customers receive their orders in a timely manner. While our dreams may be modest, we take pride in our work and deserve to be treated with dignity. Additionally, even small tips, such as 50 cents or 1 euro, can significantly boost our morale and encourage us to continue providing excellent service.​ I hope this feedback prompts a reflection on how delivery personnel are treated and leads to improvements in staff training and customer service protocols. 16/03/2025: Excellent coffee and delicious chocolate. Butlers Chocolate Café is a great place for coffee and chocolate lovers. The drinks are aromatic, and the chocolate is exquisite. It would be nice to have more seating to leisurely enjoy the taste of excellent coffee and chocolate.

01/03/2025: Just tried there new match with blueberry and oat milk. It was quite good to be honest but was quite pricey!! It was 5.4€ for that matcha.
